For the most part their quite annoying.

I guess it can depend on where you live. But around here they just hang out in places like the bus station, just doing nothing other than playing music, sometimes getting boisterous, really depends on the group. I'm not against friends hanging out lol, just not sure why there?
At the train station also you just find them there doing nothing, sometimes play fighting, nearly always vaping though, which I find annoying enough.

Some other times though you can tell their wanting to do some mischief if their hanging around abandoned buildings trying to find a way in.
They can hop on and off the trains without bothering to pay for tickets also, and their just not fun to ride on trains with, as their as loud and boisterous on trains as they are off them.

They all dress the same too. The girls always wear leggings, but sometimes at least their underwear doesn't show through them (sorry but if I had a daughter I wouldn't let them wear that at that age)

In their defence I suppose there's not lots of things to do around here, but I'm a loner and still find plenty to do🤷

Depends on age, early teens are often annoying, late teens are usually acceptable.

That's funny, where I live the big trend with teens are baggy jeans. I mostly only see other women in their 20's wearing leggings.

IRL, I don't encounter them anywhere since I never go to such places.

Online, I mostly follow (or interested in) people who are in their late 40s up to their 60s.

Typical as for pov from rural town [so it might not apply to big cities] differ but usually a person from outside would call a typical teenager a thug, especially that the clothing between a hooligan and a person who ain't going into violent activities are almost identical.

Many of them are just normal teenagers whom are beginning their experience with cigarettes, alcohol, and other stuff.
The small part of them will be involved in shady business or will join into ultras/hooligans groups for their local football club.
Small part of them will be forming their own groups, sometimes these groups will fight each other, some times it is just a group to hang out, depending on all individuals.
There will be a part of people whom are joining charity moves, help others or go into sports tournament or other courses, camps or special activities to seek experience or knowledge.
Some will be joining into shifts or work just to gain money which their families don't have or will search for other methods of gaining money [legal methods].

I don't think anything has changed, maybe trends and some details but in overall it is all the same as it used to be. The main difference is that when they are settling stuff with violence they are so dumb to provide for free evidences for themselves...

They seem more or less like the teenager I was, except a few notable differences;

- Complete obession with mobile phones.

When I was a teenager, mobile phones were a bit of a joke and were quite basic. The very first iPhone released near the end of secondary school (age 15 or so for me). Mobiles as a whole weren't entrenched in day to day living. There wasn't an app for everything and not every retailer was online etc. You still had to know your way around the world and resolve problems 'offline' for the most part. The teenagers of today seem to be near inseparable from their mobile phones. It's not a good thing.

- Cultural death/mainstream widens

When I was a teenager, the mainstream was far more narrow, and various subcultures were more visible/thrived. For example, I guess by the end of the 2000s, goth culture practically went extinct and was banished to a few days a year where goths can gather. Emo/scene kids were going strong in the 2000s, now a meme. Feels like many of these subcultures struggled to contend with the mainstream, were frequently targets of bullying/ostracization. Even the fashion; I remember the Y2K fashion, crazy flares, hot pants, everything was distressed or had a buckle, heaps of totally whack shit. Lots of 80 throwbacks, and the death of some 90s trends. Nowadays it feels like a norm for teenagers to be seen rolling around in minimalist clothes that have a £500 logo on it. The teenagers of today seem to lack a distinct identity in my view, it's all too minimalist, self-aborbed, technology stricken, and dislocated from society - they seem to utterly hate everyone elderly because they have been told by social media influencers that 'boomers' have made their lives the hardest of all generations...

Alright actual teenager here, I don't know about other places around the world and stuff but at my highschool, I'd say there's a lot of relatively normal teens here that act decent and take school somewhat seriously, but a LOT and I mean a LOT of them do the stupidest things ever, including: shoplifting from the mall, starting fights in the mall, starting fights at the local bakery, doing drugs at the bus stop, throwing stink bombs in the hallways, breaking ceiling tiles for fun and a bunch of other generally stupid stuff that land them in suspensions or juvy.

Oh yeah, and there's also a bunch of stupid slang words nowadays too (Which I'm kind of guilty of using) And yeah, I'm also gonna be completely honest a lot of teens are addicted to their phones more than ever nowadays, always using them in class even when the teacher says to put it away like 1,000 times,

No idea, but I ALWAYS here like the absolutely craziestt fight stories from people in my class, always talking about teeth getting knocked out, blood everywhere, black eyes and bones broken, I think it's mostly cause this place is like the closest sort of shop to our school, only being like a 60 second walk from our school building so we always have a bunch of kids going there during lunch break as well as before and after school to either buy food and just leave or start some drama.

Nothing new under the sun, stupid teens always did stupid things and will always do.😆 And I can't complain since I was like that too. I even once smuggled several stolen bottles of ice cider right inside the school, poured half a bottle or so into a ventilation inlet, and for a long while people were confused about why it smelt so much like alcohol around that part of school. But luckily I never got caught for any of the dumb stuff I did.

Teenagers are irritating anywhere that's just the nature of the age, and ofc some teenagers are well mannered but that's out of the ordinary. I don't mind them at all as far as they don't invade my personal space.
