Favorite Russian Anime Characters

@RobertBobert In terms of anime: yeah, I read it was a case. The creators of the anime adaptation decided to go with character designs created created by Shingo Araki, which resulted making most of characters look prettier than they had looked like in the manga, but without them losing their defining elements (haircut, armors, etc.). Manga was more timid in this aspect, with more oldschool art style and characters actually resembling kids their age, not young adult models, lol. Surely, going that route has succeeded in attracting a lot of female viewers (fujoshi) back then. That's what I read, anyway.

@JaniSIr It's actually quite a harsh word. It's as if an American character were saying a loud FUCK as a catchphrase.

@Adnash In that regard, I find it funny that Netflix didn't think better than to try to add more female representation to the main cast...through a character whose gimmick conveyed the message "men don't have to look masculine."

@RobertBobert Every character from the main team of Bronze Saints represents a certain type of masculinity. Shun presents the least macho-like version of masculinity of all members of the main gang. And yet, out of all characters, it was Shun who was picked to be turned into a female character in the CGI reboot. It was awfully sexist. It looks even worse if you think about how there were already canon female characters with huge dormant potential, waiting to be recognized in a reboot series.
