Great comedy serie I like how they are transmitting messages within the comedy 8/10.Now if the second season will have a great plot and keep the comedy to that level I feel it will be 9/10.I wonder if the manga is comedy & action like Gintama and Katekyō Hitman Reborn

I'm probably one of the few people who doesn't like it although I love dramedy. Argh, I had high expectations for it!

First of all, I think it got better after episode 6 but wasn't as fun as I had expected.

I found Hina quite annoying. Of course, there are some funny moments, like Hina breaking her leg or Hitomi's reactions... But they aren't enough for me. Also, some lessons had obviously bad messages.

I guess it isn't my cup of tea.

Come on, how can you end a show with a cliffhanger like this and never make a second season

Solid last episode. Not sure if I'm totally okay with how they ended it in that I wish Mao could have met up, but the episode was still enjoyable. I guess as a whole the show was just good. Wasn't anything exceptional, and there are definitely better comedies out there (some shows are able to pull off dramedy better imo, such as Gintama, which although not a true 1-1 comparison still manages to pull off both drama and comedy better than Hinamatsuri did). Despite these criticisms, I could see myself recommending it to someone down the line. 7/10.

It doesn't feel it's over. The very end is there any news about Seasson 2? He can stop a robot like that especially Hina who does it is inconceivable.

I liked it, it gave me a good laugh a bunch of times. Anzu is the best girl. I hope it gets a season 2 but it doesn't seem to be popular and it seems the sales were also not good so it probably won't happen.

So that's what the first episode is all about
Sucks though, the ending is big cliffhanger

I just want to see Anzu and her smile for the one last time :(

I just marathoned this series and I have to say, I was absolutely stunned. When I heard the premise for this show, I thought it was too absurd to possibly be good, but I thought it had a wonderful mix of comedy and feel good moments.

What surprised me the most was just how invested I was in the feel good moments. I practically ate up everything involving Anzu. It was so awesome seeing her practically rise up from the bottom and have a great appreciation for every little thing she has.

It was also so heartbreaking seeing Mao go through that mental breakdown on the deserted island. I feel bad for anyone who feels isolated like that.

Had no idea what the show was. I just saw it while looking back through Studio feel.'s works. I was surprised how much I liked it, as dramedy is not usually my preference. It's always annoying when a series covers the first four or five volumes of the manga and then just stops, but that's just the way things go. All things considered it's easily an 8/10.

It's silly some of the nitpicks I see in this thread:

Too much comedy.
Not enough comedy.
Loved character A, didn't like character B.
Loved character B, didn't like character A.

The one that showed up a couple times is "the lessons have bad messages." The hell does that even mean? This isn't a kids show.

Life doesn't always teach good lessons or send "good messages." Stupid stuff happens and some people never learn. Bad habits are indulged. People end up where they don't want to be with all the best intentions. Good deeds are often punished. Bad deeds are often tolerated.

Why the hell shouldn't a work of fiction be allowed to show how messed up life can be in favor of "lessons giving good messages?"

Talk about bad way to end an anime.

How can you end it like that? Damn it

Overall it was a good anime, Anzu was easily my favorite. Honestly, I would enjoyed it much more from her perspective, or if we had seen more of her. I was hoping she would meet with Yassan and the others at least once though.

After episode 6 I was gonna rate it 9/10, but in the end, I rated it 8/10. That episode was outstanding, but the rest was mostly a regular slice of life comedy(I don't mean it as a bad thing).

I hope this will get a second season maybe next year

Okay. I have two questions.

1. Why did they decide to end the show with Mao ? I like her, but she had literally no purpose in the story, so why making her the last character we get to see ?
2. Why didn't we get to see the other characters after the timeskip ? I actually stumbled across a picture of an older Anzu that really seemed to be coming from the anime, so what is it actually from ?! I need to know !

This ending was frustrating, that's for sure. However I really like the show. It was super fun, with some good drama at times that helped developing the characters.
I really liked Nitta and Hina, they're the ones I found to be the funniest and I really like their development, even if Hina annoyed me at first.
Hitomi was nothing amazing but she was fun, and the drama in episode 10 was quite interesting.
Anzu, as I said in the previous discussion thread, has unfortunately become much less interesting than she initially was. She went from the most fleshed out and touching character to a perfect kid who's a perfect kid and that's it. She's adorable, wholesome and all but she's like a completely different character, I wish they didn't make her go to such an extreme. Of course, her current state makes sense and her reactions to money are very well done, but making her so perfect wasn't needed.
And Mao is nice, I really liked her scenes in episode 9, but as I said she was completely useless as a character, it looks like they had tons of things to do with her but lacked time, or simply forgot to introduce her earlier. That's weird.
And finally, Utako was fun, but I'm quite surprised to see how the opening hinted so much at her being very important. I wonder why they did that.

So this anime isn't a masterpiece, but it was good nonetheless, it had a lot of great comedic moments and the characters are very nice, I give it a good 7/10.

So it's The last episode and it wrapped up nicely! (OwO)

We get to see more comedy from Hina and gives us a montage of many characters doing their thing. The Show gave us a great cast imo, from the mains, Hina, Nitta , Anzu etc. To the side characters Mami, Mao(glad we got to see her before the show ended, she was great!), Sabu, the rock gang and everyone else! Hinamatsuri made me laugh A LOT and i know it succeeded well in doing so, I think I'll give it an 8. Also it gave some life lessons, though not all were shown clearly, it still presented them.

Hope we get a second season since this show was really enjoyable and the characters are just awesome, Op is feeling nostalgic already hehe. Don't forget to eat your ikura!

From the dialogue through the phone in the end of last episode, I thought she was the only one lost in the mountains. it turns out there's four of them.

Ah so that was Mao at the first episode...

Damn, so that's it. That was quick. Right now I'm kind of in the trying to get through a lot of anime mode, but right now I just want more of this. Nothing about this extraordinary about this anime that really deserves praise- but I just felt so good watching it. Story lacking? Yeah there's none of that but come on it's more of a comedy anime. Characters lacking? I'm going to have to disagree with you on that one because while they are not the most creative and unique of characters they're definitely very good ones that get the job done. Was the comedy good? Well done, but some parts obviously hit harder than others, and sometimes it did fall flat. But while it did give us some laughs, it was pretty touching too- even when certain scenes were just used for gags at the end! Idk what to think really, I can just say that I did feel good watching this and that I want more of this. 7 or 8 out of 10 for me, going to have to think more on this one. It's more deserving of a 7, but personally my enjoyment kind of shoots that up to an 8. I'll rate it later, but for now I'm just glad I happened to stumble across this diamond in the rough

Hmmm.. We got an open ending but nonetheless it's a freakin great anime. Had so much fun and laugh, especially with their reactions (seriously, they really like to put their mouth like that). The animation is really great too (considering that ufotable is one of the animators in this anime) and the story plot is really well made.

9/10 final rate. If there's gonna be a new season of this, then I'm in cuz many stuffs are still waiting to adapt :)

10/10 Experience, touching and SOL moment. I like how they show Mao went from South East Asia slums all the way to China, become a beggar and then a fake martial art student lol. Three psychic girls, Hina is the luckiest one but it could go worse if it didn't end up with Nitta adoption. She probably will destroy Tokyo like how she did in her homeworld.

Apparently in the manga there is more emphasis on the Yakuza aspect. Maybe it had to do with time constraints? Not really sure

I really loved every character in this anime, they all had unique personality. I loved how everyone is just as weird as the next person and they all completely commit to the jokes.

I enjoyed the comedy throughout the series hopefully a second season comes.

Actually a great show, just that sometimes it tries to be comedic in serious parts, where i feel like comedy shouldn't be done. And the second half did feel abit disoriented.8/10(or maybe a low 8, 7??), will read the manga eventually. And hina is fucking hilarious

Wow, this anime was amazing. Mixing heartfelt and fun moments with a loveable cast is something I’ve only seen Gintama do. Comedy was great as well, but I have a big problem with how Hitomi and Utako got handled towards the end. It was clear from the way she slowly disappeared from the happy parts of the openings that Utako is NOT a good person, but she still got away basically scot free. Wish there was a second season because I know the manga probably covers that, but for now all it does is feel unresolved. Hitomi and Anzu are amazing characters though, but I felt like Anzu got a lot more closure than Hitomi ever did in the anime at least.

This was such an underrated gem of a show. The comedy was hilarious, the characters were endearing with some great character development, the animation was great, the emotional moments were on point and overall, it was a very enjoyable and wholesome experience. Me and my mother both loved it and we laughed hard on numerous occasions. I didn't expect going into it that it was going to be one of my favourites, but it's now in my top 10 favourite Anime series.

I really hope it gets a 2nd season at some point.

It's the furthest thing from a surprise, but Mao's impression of Hina going "feed me" every few seconds in a survival scenario being dead accurate to Hina's actual survival strategy is strangely comforting.

Nitta's eyes looking a little wet from seeing his daughter safe is such a sweet little detail. ...Or maybe being reminded he's back to babysitting not-Anzu instead of Anzu finally hit home for him. But seriously, I'm gonna miss Hina for being the absolute potato with psychic powers she is, Nitta being a tsundere Yakuza dad and pretty much everything about Anzu.
