This anime, just like Chainsaw Man, Frieren, and Undead Unluck, is the kind of the anime that we know for sure there will be season 2 even though there's no official announcement yet. Actually I'd like to add Zom 100 to that list but the production problem that cause the epic delay to the epic anime disappoint me so much.

That is great to hear. I would have been shocked if a second season had not been made. This anime is a huge success and if you follow FAL (Fantasy Anime League), you will see that Kaiju no.8 is currently on the first place this season (Spring 2024).
