You need to remember this story takes place in a fantasy world wherein slavery and polygamy are the norm, and our real world standards don't apply. What Paul said to his son was appropriate under those conditions. It's really abhorrent from our perspective, yet completely nonexistent and irrelevant from theirs.

another stupid thing is he started sniffing her.. come on for real.. you got wife now.. is he retarded for real?.. I hoped this second season is gonna be good but not.. they didn;t even show again how he saved her! what a waste of screentime.. I hope at least last fight will be flashy..
the art quality is also very bad for 2024..
I started to like the OP more and more.. it is well done.. but I just dislike Rudeus and Sylphie.. even his father is better than him.. as a person..
and what was that about saying sorry ot sylphie? what he did the same? he puked on sylphie? wtf is this anime becoming?
Liked how Paul reacted when Rudy asked if he got stronger and also Elinalise reaction too, and they actually got her new sword it seems? it wasn't mentioned?

About Rudy x Roxy this is stupid but it was obvious.. and Paul comment about two swords for different things.. omg.. that world is sick... I knew Sylphie will be hurt that is why I disliked their marriage as the just don't pair good.. Rudy should be actually alone.. he doesn't deserve any of the three girls.. he is scum or crazy...
or maybe he should and will end up with Eris? she could keep him tethered.. he deserves a woman who would keep him nailed down..:D

this show has gotten mucg better after it left the magic school setting

gotta say though, for a while ive been thinking that Rudy will divorce Sylphi an marry Roxy, an then divorce her as well an marry the red hair bitch ((an if a 4th waifu shows up later then he will divorce the red hair bitch an maryy the new waifu as well)

The episode is nice and all but goddamn, that dwarf guy is useless, he hasn't done anything in that party, what is the role of that guy? the bag carrier or something?

And damn I'm slow, it took me a while to realize the 2 swords analogy thingie, Paul is basically saying that he used to have 1 sword (1 wife) and now he has 2 swords (2 wives), he's basically telling Rudy to have another woman (Roxy).

This has been bugging me since last week. Didn't they say Roxy had been trapped in there for a month? She can conjure water, so she has water, but what about every other supply, most notably food (since it's TV we can ignore inconvenient and boring stuff like hygiene, which is never explained in any show, though they at least acknowledge the smell issue)? Has she been eating raw giant spiders or something?

Also, dad was definitely telling Rudy to start a harem at the end.

Would you say the anime is a good adaptation or just a fun adaptation? Considering how much better the LN seems with all the details, almost making the anime feel a little bland by comparison.

@henmwats Well its hard to say that the adaptation is bad.But if LN is peak then the adaptation is good with great moments.As for me i feel somewhat dissapointed with S2 overall because of them cutting lots of small moments and other character development which is what actually made the LN peak (at least for me). S1 also had some cuts but i felt like it was done in a smart way and felt more like optimizing while S2 straight up butcher some stuff. Let me give you 2 examples that i had explained to my friend who is watching the anime but haven't read the LN
1.The panties situation when Linia and Pursena took them from all the girls around university.The anime made it look like they are total bullies (which they were before Rudeus came to school) however in LN there was a small dialogue that somewhat changes the whole mood of the situation :
“W-we didn’t pick on anyone, Boss. Honest!” Linia whined.
“T-that’s right. We just asked ’em real nicely,” added Pursena with a
whimper.
Oh, come on. As if some poor little freshman girl was ever going to say
no to a pair of terrifying bullies twice her size.
“Look, you’re beastfolk, aren’t you? I’d expect you to understand how
humiliating it is to have your clothing torn off you.”
“B-But we gave them new underwear and everything! It was just a
trade!”
“Oh, really? From the sound of things, a whole bunch of girls ended up
pretty shaken afterwards.”
“Their new ones probably didn’t fit right, that’s all! We didn’t take any
panties from the girls who said no, I swear!”
Hm? This sounded different from the way Ariel had described it. That
brought me some relief. I’d feel terrible if they’d forcibly ripped anyone’s
clothes off.The two of them were obviously more scared of being punished than
anything else. At the end of the day, though, they’d gone to a lot of trouble
for my sake. They’d noticed I was feeling down and tried to cheer me up.
That was their only motivation here.
It was still a nice gesture, in that sense, even if I didn’t like their
present. I had sympathy for their victims, but they’d basically meant well. It
wasn’t like they’d deliberately set out to humiliate anyone, like the bullies
who’d targeted me in my previous life.

2 His meeting with Paul. The anime done a decent job but it felt more wholesome in the LN. Paul looked terrible and literally talked to Rudeus while sleeping and first so he had to explain some stuff again.Rudeus also feared that Paul had lost it to despair at first. There is also this small detail :
Paul retook his seat and turned toward me. Then, as if we were redoing
the whole reunion, he asked, “Rudy, why are you here?”
“I already told you. I came to help.”
“No, that’s not what I mean.”
I shook my head. I’d anticipated that question. We’d had a similar
communication mix-up before and it had turned into a fight, but this time,
things would be all right. I had seen his letter, and Norn and Aisha were in
my care. “Everything is fine. Norn and Aisha, as well. They’re being looked
after,” I said, repeating what I’d already said a moment ago.
“O-oh, okay.” Paul looked confused. He reached out to pat my body
again, almost as if he were checking to confirm that I really was here.

Which shows how Rudeus learnt from his past mistakes and tried his hardest to be considerate of others

I decided to explain what had happened after I sent the first letter. How
I’d enrolled at the university, and everything from there on, leading up to my
marriage. I chose my words carefully as I went. Honestly, I had nothing but
good memories of my time at school. It had certainly had its low points, but it
wouldn’t be exaggerating to say I’d had the time of my life there, either. I’d
made friends, found my wife, and had plenty of fun.

I tried to keep my recounting of events as objective as possible, but I
couldn’t hide it. There was no denying I’d had a good time there.

There is a channel on Youtube that does LN analysis and skipped content.Some of the last videos were 1h long.That should give you the overall gist of the amount of stuff they cut
Overall the adaptation like i ve said is not bad by all means but i do feel kinda bad for people who haven't read/ won't read the LN

I also though season 1 was done better, compared to season 2.
