VIZ Media licensed the manga for release in English in July 2021. The 11th volume went on sale on April 2, and the 12th volume is scheduled to be released on June 4. Shueisha's Manga Plus website and app is also releasing the manga in English.
Synopsis
Tarou Sakamoto was considered the greatest hitman of all time. Feared by many, he stood at the top of the underground world until he met and fell in love with a woman. As a result, Sakamoto abandoned his life of crime and now works as a convenience store clerk.
Leaving his shady past behind proves more difficult than Sakamoto initially imagined. Many of his former rivals and partners do not believe that he has truly left the business and show up in hopes of taking him out. Barred from killing, Sakamoto must find creative ways to subdue his enemies and prevent them from bringing harm to his family, his store, and the small town he resides in. [Written by MAL Rewrite]
This getting an adaptation itself is more than enough. And the studio isn't exactly someone as infamous as Deen or LIDENFILMS. Though it's heavily action based, so we'll see.
Though yeah, really glad and hyped for this. Best action manga in jump right now after all. Also, some choice for Sakamoto's VA lol.
glad my favorite action manga is getting an adaptation but still kinda disappointed from the TMS confirmation. very excited to hear sugita though and i hope the anime does well despite my skepticism.
Bones or Production IG were my top two choices but the trailer is making me somewhat hopeful, even if it's just a minute long. Gonna temper my expectations for now but hoping for the best. Glad this long overdue anime adaptation is finally happening.
People on MAL refuse to actually enjoy watching anime.
Your taste in anime isn't a personality trait.
MAL is literally just anime Twitter as its own website lol.

@Softhenic03 LIDENFILMS is a good studio. Look at their recent track record they have improved a lot.
Manga's solid so hopefully this anime can turn out to be a fun watch and solid adaptation. Not too sure about the staff but I'll wait till I see a lot more to have certain levels of expectations.

@Softhenic03 We did it ladies and gentlemen . We found the only person on the internet that thinks that Lidenfilms is a bad studio .....

Jesus, what a laughable attempt to try to look witty. First you copy pasted an elementary school phrase, and then wrote something about "only person" on the internet. What Chinese internet you're using where you've never seen someone thinking the studio you've named is actually "bad"?
Anime producers are back to the practice of issuing adaptations based on top manga sites, lol? It’s even interesting which titles will receive adaptations next, especially considering that now we consistently get 3-4 yuri and a couple of BLs a year.
Seriously, I've been waiting for more than 2 years. I was hoping for a traditional coloutful big announcement on the cover Weekly Jump where millions would see it. What do I get instead? The coolest mainstream manga of today's Jump gets a quiet, modest anime announcement in Twitter, to be noticed by a few hundred fans.
What kind of attitude is this? Do you mean that Sakamoto Days is worse than The Elusive Samurai and Blue Box?
