| This is a very quirky sci-fi romcom and I like it. It's basically Maison Ikkou meets UY hence the 80s aesthetes. I wonder how Mira and Takumi are going to clear up the whole widow misunderstanding. |

| The beginning seems quite different to the rest of the episode; no follow-up or anything. Only at the end is there some potentially space-esque technology and the dog with quite the sharp nails taking on some humanoid form. A potential romance show, but it doesn't look too great so far. |

| I don't get why the score is so low, this show really takes me back to 2000's era anime. Ofc it's not originall like at all, this kinda alien-heroine theme was done over and over again, but I still think this show may be one of the hidden gems of the season With all the carbon-copy-isekai stuff that has been coming up lately, I forgot anime could be this laid-back and charming |
| The jokes as themselves rather suck, but the jokes + the delivery, the "vibe" they're building right from the second scene, the choice of art style, that Haruhi-like music (and ofc they also have Sugita here)... really make everything works. The premise is simple but fun, and the characters also all look fun (even that dog that seems to be so serious). First episode did what a first episode should do perfectly. Looking forward to the future. |

| Back in the days when old school shows like Urusei Yatsura, Oh my Goddess, Please sensei and all the copycats that came out afterwards where among the most overused settings, we used to joke about how the main male protag would get a "free waifu that would fall on his lap" on day one. Guess the writers in this one took that as a literal joke. Pretty fun old school "bunch of bums" live under the same roof. Shows like Bokura wa Minna Kawai-sou soured my enjoyment for this kind of setting and it's just a joy to see a good comedy writer rekindle my passion for this kind of shows. Normally I would eyeroll and scoff at how different is the artstyle between most of the characters. But in here it works so perfectly due to the great facial animation. Heck most characters voiced by Sugita kinda irk me, but I found the unemployed salary man to be probably the funniest one with his very awkward and uncomfortable walk in scene skits. Teru is also quite hilarious with her 2 sides. Funny enough the main heroine Mira is probably the weakest of the group in terms of traits, but that's still okay. Really looking forward to this one, specially the whole get back to home planet plot. |

This anime is from how I see it is mostly a tribute to old fashion 80s and 90s classic romance Animes like Urusei yatsura or Ranma ½. This is 100% not for everyone there is no need to review it with rating it 6 or 5 or even lower because you are not the intended audience  |

The ep was fine. The real problem is the people here who started watching it knowing fully this wasn't for them as they normally watch the top watched Animes and forgot that this stuff exists as well. This anime is from how I see it is mostly a tribute to old fashion 80s and 90s classic romance Animes like Urusei yatsura or Ranma ½.
This is 100% not for everyone there is no need to review it with rating it 6 or 5 or even lower because you are not the intended audience

I was bored to tears while trying to sit through the entire first episode so I can say with confidence that it's not adult female who likes Sci-Fi/Fantasy mixed with comedy. That said, I'm more Excel Saga and Slayers fan than Oh my Goddess and Onegai Teacher (also bored to tears with those) and didn't have the patience for Maison Ikkoku. Maybe it's a gender thing? Just asking out of curiosity, I didn't vote or anything. I don't bother voting on stuff I can't watch until the end π |
When I saw that key visual on MAL it immediately reminded me of Maison Ikkoku.  Sure enough, this show seems like it was heavily inspired by Maison Ikkoku, where the main characters live together under the same roof. Ngl, I really like this genre/trope. That alone will make me watch this show. But there's a twist. It's also a sci-fi. So this feels like a marriage between two of Takahashi's best works, Urusei Yatsura and Maison Ikkoku. I highly doubt this show will actually reach anywhere near the level of those two shows but I'm still expecting a fun time. Yeah, almost every character seems very similar to the cast of Maison Ikkoku. Ig it's too early to say if any of the characters will be compelling. I like that the main twist with the main heroine Mira is that... I was surprised to see that this is an original anime. So maybe it's the type of story that will be resolved in just 12 episodes. That kinda sucks cos I wouldn't mind if it was a bit longer... If there's one thing to complain about it's that the animation looked... off... I can't tell if it's actually the show's artstyle or something else. |

| Sugita's acting was interesting. It's admittedly not far from his usual range but the deadpan delivery made it sound authentically old. Content wise it was rather boring. The MI callbacks are cute but ultimately wasn't particularly entertaining by itself. Yet. Guess it's fair to mention Kobato as well? |
| I legit thought that I was watching an alternative version of Maison Ikkouku. We'll see how the rest of the episodes play out. |

| i was worried to start this cause of the low rating, but i really liked the art style on the poster and thought id give it a go and based on this first episode i'm glad i did, i honestly really enjoyed it and i'm excited to see where it'll go from here |
