It looks like this episode wanted the audience to see more of Elise and Graham although their relatonship seems a bit more complicated. Also odd to see her go by another identity although Elise still generally acts like herself.

This was also another episode with Elise dealing with a patient and having to treat them with a complicated disease. Yikes, I wonder what else this season will throw at her.

The big reveal...

Elise, who had been pretending to be Rose at Teresa Hospital, was exposed by Graham and Sven. Afterwards, someone at the infirmary announces to her that the royal family had decided to grant her the Royal Rose Insignia and an honorary knight's title. Later, Elise visits Graham's house to reconcile with him but unexpectedly finds herself in a tight spot when they discover some patients who need help. Elise and Graham, facing an unknown illness, join forces. The two geniuses hold hands and try to solve this weird symptom these patients were diagnosed with.

In typical Doctor Elise style, Yodell almost collapses, leading to a medical emergency that Elise and Graham rush to handle, even performing surgery. Graham has a nice house, but it's unfortunate for the maid. Luckily, she's in good hands with two capable doctors around. The episode feels like filler, with only a couple of scenes from the manwha. Graham's backstory isn't interesting enough for me.

While an award is nice, Elise still needs to pass her exam to win the bet. Will there be an award ceremony?

I really wonder if all of the big changes and additions they've been making since about ep 6 is material from the novel or if it's anime only. I really don't get what they're doing with a 12 episode run. What is the point of an entire episode dedicated to Graham? 12 episodes is already hardly enough to even scratch the surface of the manhwa and then they use a whole episode on a side character, when they've barely touched on the two leads.

At first I thought they were making the changes to be able to offer a 12 episode stand alone taste of the story, but now I have no clue what they're doing.

I laugh so hard every time the show references Rose's horrible handwriting.
Truly doctor's handwriting.

I wanted to see more repercussions now that the 2 doctors know that Rose is the genius doctor they're searching.

But an episode on graham is not bad.

Although in this episode basically nothing really happened but thank you... Graham is actually my favorite character here and being able to watch an episode specifically about him was delightful β™‘ his past does make me sad, but what makes me like him even more is his determination and perseverance. He's someone who really means it when he decides on something :) also, it's heartwarming to know that his maid is so loyal to him even though she was once unpaid (because Graham was poor, right?)

very good episode, I believe that this phase will be difficult for Graham, because he is very hardworking and out of nowhere a prodigy girl appears in the world, but I think he will overcome this with her help, I want to see how this arranged marriage will turn out, Because the prince does like her, will she marry him and still work as a doctor? but I 100% prefer her with Dr. Graham!

interesting episode

we got the flashback to Graham's past, he had a happy life, but a desease killed all his family
when it looked like he lost everything, be it all the maids or part of the furniture, one of his maids decided to stay by his side, isn't she such a nice person? (this scene reminded me of Tearmoon, only one maid kept visiting her when she was in a bad situation)
after losing his family and the fear of losing the maid as well, he decided that he wanted to be able to save her (and others i'm sure) by becoming a doctor

the maid had another close death call, and Graham was closed in his room, good thing Elise came visit him at that perfect time lol
tho, thanks to being hospitalised, she got to see how respected Graham is in the hospital, something she wanted to know for a while, so that's a bonus

Elise really needs to practice her caligraphy tho, no one likes to read stuff like that, i'm sure...reminds me of when teachers kept complaining that some students had bad handwriting and that if they didn't improve, the teachers would refuse to grade their tests lmao

Enjoying this show, but it's funny how much character development the Sensei Doctor (forgot his name) is getting compared to the Prince that Elise is supposed to be marrying.

Like the Doctor seems nicer and like he would be a better fit for her (and it's kind of just that the Prince is both hot and a prince, but otherwise he's kind of 🀷)

I don't remember this episode being on the manga, and I actually enjoyed it, I think it was a great additional (without considering 12 episodes run..)

Although I love the Elise and Prince Linden couple, I would also love to see her with Dr Graham, it would be cute! Like an alternative ending lol

@MizutaniShizuku1 I could be wrong, but i think they're trying to place the exam/exam results near the end to end it on a cliffhanger of her heading into the next arc.

probably this. but if they are considering more seasons, it makes sense to develop the side characters a bit more, this is one of the points I think the manhwa failed to do well, which made the endings of this characters feel like they came out of nowhere just to tie it up neatly.

I still prefer to ship them nonetheless.

@phantomfandom The king was at fault, but the one who concocted, and forced the idea for Elise to be accused, even when the king already has forgiven her, the king's aide insisted on Elise's imprisonment, if I remember correctly.

It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

That reveal is pretty anticlimactic, since Doctor Sven got that suspicion that Rose someone he knew when he first saw her. Seeing her now just confirms his suspicion. Doctor Graham similar to Bruce Wayne loss his family at early age. Yodel is like Alfred Pennyworth in the way that they both took care of child that is not even their own. Somehow, Yodel complications doesn't seem too dire since the surgery end way too quickly, they did go to the hospital in a hurry so I kind of expected the surgery to be more complicated than that.

I kind of want a lot more drama from this though, like a pandemic of sort. A lot of episodes lately revolves around a fainting from the pain they feel Elise diagnose what's wrong then do first aid or surgery.

ROFL @ Elise's writing... LOOOOL

She needs to relearn how to write...

Tho... what's interesting is... she's technically in her "old body", so the habit of writing shouldn't have changed to that of "Earth".

.

Also

Still Fuck the King and his dumbass advisor. Shouldn't have saved their lives. Mistakes have been made.

That was 3 minutes of recap and the OP, why??? Sucks that Graham thinks he can't speak to Elise anymore and is making her feel isolated because of the position differences. She should've just explained what happened right there. The lack of communication pisses me off. It seems like Graham is falling for Elise lol Yodelle is a real one for sticking around while all the other maids were like "what are we supposed to do now that the young master can't pay us" lmao There's been more focus on Graham recently so its making me think that Elise is going to marry him instead of the prince. I'm not completely opposed since he's also attractive. I'm glad they dedicated an episode to him!

Honestly... I didn’t read the manhwa but only watching the anime makes me want Elise ending with the doctor. He is smart, cares for helping others, he likes her and he is good looking meanwhile the prince only showed up 2 times and yet they didn’t have a single good or love interaction between theirself… all this to say that I ship the wrong couple haahah

Ohhhhh Doctor Graham is blushing 🀭🀭🀭
Well if Elise are aiming to be a doctor and also ended up with a fellow, great doctor as Graham, then of course that would really make me happy. πŸ™ˆ But after watching these kind of stories and genres, I'm pretty (100%) sure that he's gonna end up with the prince. πŸ˜…
Or maybe none of them for that matter. But still less likely haha
We'll see~

Elise's expose coming at such a time as this, both Graham and Sven have come to set her out of the Hundreds House, though the biggest shock comes from Graham himself.

Back at Teresa Hospital, Graham starts to be formal to Elise, though it's business as usual with the rest. But as the days pass, it's clear that he has some intention about this, which prompts Elise to go to his house where his maid Yodelle serves her, and whom tells her that he's having a bit of a recluse, which this is normal for the former. Elise singing praises about Graham, which brings a smile on her face, until she faints from pain in her abdomen, attributing to inguinal hernia, or intestine flammation.

Doing a surgery on Yodelle is part and parcel of their job, though Elise assuming that Graham took leave on avoiding her...it's all because of her scribbles handwriting, as well as his research on the previous surgeries that Elise has done, that he could not muster. And the reason why he became a physician, it was from an epidemic, and the only family whom he had was Yodelle. Despite that, Elise still holds him in high regard and wants him to rest on their nobie status, which Yodelle has seen him grow up to become a capable physician.

Yeah...this feels like a filler episode, but Graham is already part of Elise's life, so he should at least get a spotlight also.
