| Man...all those graves. This episode carried a depressing mood than usual. The emotional soundtrack matches the theme too. An episode that focusd more on Brace is welcoming as it shows a different side of the show, one that's more depressing than the Jess/Pig adventure. |

| The light hearted comedy vibe really is a dim distant memory now. I really don't want to think about it, but I'd guess that what they took out of her was her womb. I can't think of how this show gets a happy ending after so much misery, there are so many who need to pay for the unbearable suffering of the Yethma |

| When I die please take me to your world 😭 nah man they really sucked us in with a cute girl and a pig in a seemingly wholesome cute comedy fantasy set up, and ended up giving us a legitimately gripping and emotionally poignant story. Heart breaks so much for the Yethma, Naut and of course Brace. I knew that the people at the church were on some sinister shit, but I didn’t expect them to be THAT depraved. Removing all of her organs, torturing her.. I just don’t even have the words. It wasn’t that she was too traumatised to speak last week, she literally can’t if her vocal cords and other organs are gone. Brutal. Naut’s backstory with his Yethma companion was also really sad. Using her bones in his swords/daggers is a really touching tribute. I like how they connected she and Brace’s stories with the theme of prayers, and of course the episode title “don’t laugh at someone’s prayers”. Really a gut wrenching episode that’ll stick with me thru the week. |

| : ( Man, rarely do I watch sad shows and try to keep it 100% lighthearted so this episode was tough for me, there really is no hope for Brace and even if Jess manages to get to the capital there is no guaranteed that they would even get a chance to get inside. So many dark themes and that you know what's happening to the Yethmas, do you remember when this show had a silly premise and was classified as a Comedy? no? me neither. |
| Naut's warning to Pig about accompanying Jess to the royal capital, he has faced all the atrocity from the dead Ceres. Blessing Pig with Rossi' bracelet, it's do or die for the both of them. Continuing on, the group head to another village in the Needle Woods where the collar shines black, this is their final well-wishes before separation. But if they are going to save one Yethma, Jess takes precedence over Blaise, with Pig protecting her as her chabirone. Sure, Naut may have that dream with Ceres before, but he's doing it for Jess now. Naut's past experience with Blaise shaping who she is today as she took her own journey herself to imminent death, yet she prayed to keep herself consistent, that is until she met Naut and once again, began to have hope. A moment of recluse between Pig and Blaise, and her having her internal organs removed from the Church before she met them, Pig wants to help, but the black rista only being able to be used with the one most attached to, Blaise is already anticipating the end of her life. The way to the royal capital with no doors, but there is one: appeal to its king. But how, it's up to Pig and the rest to find out. |

| Very dark episode. The heckripons seem to have a significant meaning but it's very ambiguous right now. I'm very interested to see what happens at the royal capital and uncover some of the secrets behind it and what happens to the Yethmas there, assuming the rumors are correct and there is actually a way to get in. |

| I also miss the more light hearted start this anime had as this episode is really sad, poor Blaise. And now the revelation that there is no entrance to the capital but only an appeal to the king, that sounds even more risky (I mean what if he says no?). Hopefully Jess stays safe... |
| I don't mind the tonal shift, the MC is whimsical and rather carefree and cracking lots of jokes in the beginning, only to ever increasingly find out the horrors of this new world with every episode that drops. My emotions follow alongside the MC, was having a good time and thought the start was hilarious, only to find out about all the weird shit that goes on. |

It's actually her uterus that got removed, of course without giving a damn to hygiene, disinfection, or internal bleeding. That's why Brace (and every Yesma been through this) suffered serious bacteria infection and inflammation.
This incident will be brought up again in volume 2 and 3 (LN) for a more detailed explanation, as why her uterus was removed is kind of a spoiler at this stage, but it's foreshadowed in the beginning of the show.
EDIT: Rest assured there is no unborn children involved, as Yesma literally can't get pregnant when missing their uterus. Let alone have sex with a wound like that.

| Holy fuck this world keeps getting darker. Anime usually doesnt shock me but finding out someone walking around had her organs forcibly removed presumably with no anesthetic while they are alive and not even bothering closing the wound is horrifying. No wonder she had no appetite. Poor Blaise. This didn't make me tear up as much as some other moments in the show but it really gives a heavy feeling in my heart. |

| So that's why she didn't have an appetite, holy fuck... Blaise doesn't have long left. Like Naut, she believes she can be a decoy for Jess and Mr. Pig to get to the capital. Given what she revealed, the capital could just be a myth to lure Yethma to the grounds around it to be hunted, but she still believes she could reach out to the King for Jess's sake. If this is going where I think it's going, Yethma are like the descendants of those mages that fought in the dark ages? Naut seemed to have foreshadowed the glowing mushrooms with the oil valley. |

| Naut is finally opening up to Pig and Jess. He reveals that he didn't kill anyone when retrieving Eise's collar, he just the commotion to steal and run. The inn the group visits has a black yethma collar which signifies a bad omen. We see a glimpse of Blaise's past and she experienced her fair share of trauma before being saved by the trio and Rossi. Of all questions Blaise asks Pig she starts off with breast size... fan service is #1 priority in this series after all. Blaise's organs were harvested which is why she hasn't been as active in the conversations and even tripping earlier in their journey. Blaise mentions there being no entrance tk the capital which is why many yethma go missing in the needle forest. They need to appeal to the king? More lore is explained but still feels lacklustre the way they're explaining it. Instead of showing they straight up make it a dialogue. Lazy development |
