Well, this episode had a different mood, a departure from the usual crime fighting and bizarre events in the show.

We do get some background storytelling but unfortnantely for our main cast, this wasn't a getaway vacation. Shy and Spirits still had to deal with yet another weirdo in the show. What a cliffhanger!

Exciting and funny episode with a shocking cliffhanger. It was interesting to learn more about Pepesha.

I can't wait to see the next episode.

Kfufu is here let's fucking goooooooooo. I really liked that episode, everything felt very nice, the exposition, revelation, mysteries, comedy and the bit of action at the end that makes me want to see more of it. The Spirits transformation sequence was unexpected but very welcome. They also finally brought up the "bracelet allows heroes to understand and talk to everyone", I thought that they would forget about it.

This episode was interesting, I wonder if Tzveta resembling Pepesha's mother is an illusion to trick her, or if there's something more to it. The villains have been quite intriguing so far as well, and their scenes are so nice to look at. Next episode should be a big one.

Another great episode! Wow we finally get a glimpse of Pepesha’s backstory. Despite coming up in an orphanage, she was clearly surrounded by a lot of love between sensei and Natalia.

No shock that Tzveta shows up in Russia. She clearly wanted Pepesha to go back to where everything began. I’m thinking that’s not an illusion and that she actually is Pepesha’s mom being kind controlled or at least manipulated/brainwashed.

That line she had about enjoying the warmth of youth to me suggests that it is her, just in a younger form since that was a happier time in her life before the “cold reality” set in. Could be a misdirection, but feeling somewhat confident in that theory after what we saw today. We already know the villain likes to manipulate peoples’ hearts and send them into despair, so what better way than having Pepesha fight her dead mom

That was dark as hell. “Im an orphan who grew up in the same orphanage as my mom, and my happiest memories with her are when she was utterly wasted. I currently have a dubious relationship with alcohol, my father figure is worried about me”.

I swear every time I see stigma he’s so creepy. He was only in a brief shot this episode but he definitely leaves a impression.

I’m curious to see who tzveta is. I mean it’s very obvious it’s pesha’s mum. But like I want to see why tzveta went down the path she did which lead to joining stigma

I wonder if each of the members of Amarariruku are someone who the heroes know. Forcing the heroes to fight love ones is something many evil organizations do.

Interesting episode away from the usual action. The mystery of the little girl that looks like Pesha gets found out one piece at a time. I hope the show tells us how that happened to Tvesta, or Peshas mom.

That cliffhanger got me sad dawg. She did a domain expansion and dipped D:

Apparently, their bracelets auto-converts what they say into the relevant language. Which brings up some fun questions. Like, what happens when speaking to someone who keeps swapping back and forth from one language to another. Does the bracelet get confused on what language to convert the user's speech into?

That escalated quickly. Poor Pesha having to face what appears to be a fucked up child clone of her mother of all things. I like where this story is going.

The team did an amazing work with the animation this episode.

Interesting, Tzveta looks like Pesha's mother. A clone or perhaps she regressed? Anyway always good to have more Pepesha. Glad to have her backstory and watching her interact with the orphanage people was nice. Her secret's out too, now they know.

I swear for a second during Pepesha's transformation that I saw a visage of a woman with her arms wrapped around Pepesha's neck. I do not know what that means but I wonder if it has anything to do with her mom.

With Tzveta being revealed to looks like Pepesha's mom when she was younger it makes me wonder if the mom somehow regressed to being a kid again or if it's an illusion playing with Pepesha's heart. Either way Tzveta seems to have some memories of the orphanage, and on another note, it hasn't been said what happened to the mother (I know Pepesha mentioned her mother died but no other details such as how and when). The only info I recall is that she was a single mom and dropped off Pepesha at the orphanage when she was 12, and I'm thinking it was because the mom couldn't afford to raise her and/or was too depressed and didn't want Pepesha seeing her like that.

Last week I thought Tzveta was a somewhat young version of Pepesha from the Amarariku parallel universe, but in this episode we got more clues about her "real" identity
So...Is she some sort of personification of Lenya's negative emotions in the Amarariku dimension or a young version of Pepesha's mother (since she also grew up in the orphanage, I guess she had some not so happy memories)?
Or is Stigma just toying with Pepesha's feelings?
So many questions...

Teru is in Russia, whilst leaving N-Vilio with Iko in Japan and meeting Pepesha to go to her childhood place: Yuri Orphanage with caretaker-cum-Director Isaak. Although their heroic work is kept a mystery, investigating on Pepesha's backstory, she sure looks like Tzveta figuratively, for someone who was trying to look for her single mother Letana who was also in the orphanage...because they share the love for alcohol, as foretold by caretaker Natalia. The memories of Natalia...she's quite the change from a princess to a rather adult-looking maid, but with Stigma's assailants on the loose and approaching the orphanage, she looks too eerily similar to Leyan.

The surprise ice attack could lead that Tzveta was around, but in fact, she is Kufufu, where Tzveta accompanies her as well. It's no surprise that Stigma would aim for the dark crevices of her heart, though she is more than just the close imitation of her mother. And apparently, Amamaririku is not just what Stigma calls his followers by but is also the amalgamation of their hearts.

Big battle incoming...

Man, now I'm really curious as to how Lenya died if that's connected to Tzveta's existence. Tzveta can't actually be directly based on Pepesha's emotions if she didn't even know what her mother looked like as a child.

Kind of weird situation that Pepesha wound up in the same orphanage as her mother came from. Now im not sure if Txveta is Lenya where she never died or she was resurrected or brought from another time or if it is a copy of her.

It's nice that the show is going back to the main plot after the previous episode felt a bit too much like filler. A problem I have with Shy is that it takes a long time to advance the plot and indulges in too many detours.

I enjoyed the exploration of Pepesha's backstory and I liked how the show proved that she can be more than just Teru's drunken friend. Also, whatever you do, don't indulge in alcoholism.

The Japanese and their ideas about Russia. It seems that a Japanese writer was told something about Russia. Then he did something from memory. It's not bad, it's just funny. Probably Lenya is Lena or Elena. There's also a variation called Lyonya. Pepesha, by the way, which is Pesha, could be Pasha... Although that's just a guess based on consonance.

@antoninus_v That's what I thought at first. The Japanese are just not very familiar with strong alcohol. But I'm very familiar with the behaviour of young Asians. I've seen a lot of young hanguks with their soju. That's how it is. Sake is not far removed from soju, nor is the Japanese way of drinking it. That's what made me suspicious.
Here, too, the size of the vodka bottles is very close to the 12-12.7 ounces of a normal beer bottle, or a mini-bottle of sake or soju.
Although I do not know the soul of the Japanese animator, and it could be anything. And to write to the author and scriptwriter of the anime, I am quite lazy.
