After watching the anime adaptation of Claymore I realised that it really deserves a proper anime adaptation.

Manga is one of favourite but i'm disappointed in the anime adaptation, it is not even 6 or 7/10 in my book where manga is 10/10.

To be honest there isn't one. There is Planetes anime adaption that I haven’t seet yet, so im not sure about whether it is good or bad but judging by the ratings it doesn't seem a bad adaptation.

I agree tho Claymore deserves AOT level of treatment.

Not manga, but the light novel of Data a live really amazing, s1 is probably the only great season imo, s2 is ok, s3 is really bad, and s4 is alright I guess, I just hope s5 can be as good as s1.

The adaptation was good it's just unpopular that made it's score so low

The anime adaptation of Gyo was garbage yeah all junji ito's works have some really bad adaptations so far but in Gyo's case they butchered the plot so bad  that it's a completely different story. Also the animation and the artstyle are awful especially for ufotable's standards.

Gyo is unironically the best thing ufotable has ever made.
You may not like the changes to the manga, but as someone who has simply never read it, I quite enjoyed the movie.
The 2D animation is great, and the CG fish kind of fits the stupid tone of the core concept for the story.

Hajime no Ippo & Eyeshield 21) Some sports work better than others with the overuse of still frames typical of Japanese animation. Baseball and golf are fine, football is the worst (too many players constantly running around at the same time). Boxing and American football are kinda inbetween: not bad, it's just that the manga is the same but better.

Kodomo no Omocha) The anime was actually an improvement at first. It really did a great job bringing Kurata Sana to life, until the last 30ish anime original episodes which are so mediocre that I can't help but consider the whole adaptation as a nerf. Yet another anime ruined by the old long running format.

Chainsaw Man, Baraou no Souretsu, Houseki no Kuni & Machikado Mazoku) Minor nerf. The manga is better, but I like their anime adaptations for the things they did differently (especially in terms of style).

Let's start, Berserk, let's end.
Grand Blue and Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou was done nicely but deserves more too, especially the latter one.

I wouldn't blame the plot starting to take those side characters seriously on the studio.
The animation was fine, it's the events that sucked, and as far as I know they didn't diverge from the source material.

The obvious answer is Berserk of course, never have I seen an adaptation that botched, a less common answer though would be JoJo part 6, but that's not because of DavidPro, but rather because of Netflix fucking up the release.

More importantly I actually really liked the character writing.
Especially the protagonist's friends, they are so trash, I love it.

The first season of The Promised Neverland was amazing but season 2 took the sharpest downhill turn I've ever seen in an anime. The last 10 minutes or so was literally a slideshow of whole arcs that took place in the manga.
Go read Berserk and One Piece they're the best thing ever

The characters design got worse

The characters weren't expressive enough

I think more than 70% of mangas who are adapted, didn't had a proper adaptation in anime. Either in term of quality animation or following the story of the mangas.

They often messed up somewhere. ( animation, or skipping important chapters or fuked up ending, or no ending at all ) .

I can name you a lot...

Just for animation :
Berserk 2016 and after.
Kingdom season 1...
Morpheus: The Matrix is everywhere. It is all around us. Even now, in this very room. You can see it when you look out your window or when you turn on your television. You can feel it when you go to work... when you go to church... when you pay your taxes.
It is the world that has been pulled over your eyes to blind you from the truth.

Neo: What truth?

Morpheus: That you are a slave, Neo.

Due to lack of experience I am gonna say a hentai for this, Ane kyun.

I watched the anime first and thought it was 6-7 but many months later I read the manga, it was so much better than the adaptation.

If we're talking Green Eyes then I 100% agree (the manga was fantastic but I felt the anime was lacking), but I enjoyed Joshi ga Ie ni Kita!

For me, a personal favorite that got a terrible anime adaption was Blame! What they did to the Blame! anime movie isn't even Blame!, it's something else entirely. Of course there is some of the big name ones, such as Berserk 2016, but people already listed them so no need to repeat them.

Most adaptations of Phoenix are rushed. I hope this year's adaptation can do the manga justice, even if the storyline being adapted is not one of the manga's best.

Because it was definitely a nerf from the manga.

Laughing my ass off at the fact that neither of you even remotely try to "explain" this, literally just using the equivalent of when a child starts losing at a game and goes "b-b-but it's my house, so I change the rules whenever I want!"

You haven't explain anything neither, it's not like we have been having an argument here in any way for the moment. I mean, you have the absolutely terrible gritty filter that makes the series looks like it was made with plastic, the terrible directing choices making the series far more slower than what it was completely changing the tone of the source material and this also makes the jokes seem out of place as it is trying too hard to act "cinematic" and serious, these kind of things have been listed ever since the first episode came out.

Black Butler's adaptation was okay. Liked some parts, disliked others.

I didn't like TBHK's anime, and I'm not planning on watching Tokyo Ghoul's because of how much I've heard about it. For Girls' Last Tour, still clinging to the hope of an OVA/movie/short season 2.

There are no rules. Nobody's experience is the universal experience. Different people value different things.

Not a manga reader, but that has been done with multiple games I've played. One might say I shouldn't expect a really long jprg to get a proper adaptation, and of course they'll have to cut stuff out, to which i understand. A lot of stuff can and should be cut, but the problem is scenes that add a lot to the overall experience also end up being cut due to having to fit things into a certain amount of episodes. And this unfortunately also happens to shows based on games that don't have really long stories. To this day it blows my mind that something like Gungrave got a decent adaptation.

Hell's Paradise was a butchered productional wreck and M(ID)APPA tarnished its reputation when it should've gotten similar treatment to Jujutsu Kaisen. I consider it the only good modern fighting shounen manga.
