| Ok, that was a bit weird. The animation is amazing but I think that this episode is very hilarious lmao. It seems that their world is just a mix of old Japan with modern technology. They even have cell phones. Some old geezers want to kill him. Well let's see what happens. |

| Impressive first episode, the animation and the fights are really good, weird to watch an anime dubbed though, but the french dub (the one I watch) is pretty cool and I get used to it fast so that's fine |

| I imagine the anime will be based on the protagonist's desire to get revenge for his father's death. Also, probably the last battle will be between him and the man who killed his father. I really liked the battles that took place in the first episode, they are very well done, the soundtrack is not bad and the graphics are nice. |

| Aiming for the 2nd headband is definitely hard to do so, especially timing wise. Really loved how fluid some of the frames are. |
| Love this start, mix of two cultures in one anime. Very interesting start so far, one of the most creative animation styles. That guy following Afro is a fucking clown lmao reminds me of one of the boondocks characters. |

| Came here for Samuel L Jackson, just for him to die in the first fucking minute of the show bruh. How the hell you gonna get Sam for an anime, AN ANIME, and kill that boy in the first minute of the show lol. Never heard of this Gonzo studio besides of Welcome to the N.H.K, but holy shit was the sakuga in this episode off the charts. Story's pretty cool as well, I mean, it's your bog standard samurai show from the early 2000's, so there's that as well lol. This felt like as if they had made a whole anime spinoff for samurai Huey from Boondocks, and the black influence is very clearly there. Fro's little assistant or whatever got me dying over here lmaooo. Decent start. Seeing as this is only five episodes, the story will either be rushed, or properly executed, which I would hope for. |

| Episode 1 is a very stylish episode. but it's almost all constant fights and arguments. I have some trouble with this kind of thing, and it got me feeling a little bad; it also bordered on getting stale. The ending was really cool though, and I am intrigued to learn more about this weird world. Afro is a bit too stoic maybe? It's also extremely desaturated, which totally screams 2007 to me hardcore. I still liked it, and the musick is great regardless! The headbands have some interesting thematic elements to them. #1 is the strongest, considered a god of martial arts, while #2 is able to challenge #1 but has numerous challengers against them all the time. So being #2 fuels being #1 - you need to fight the rest to be the best. But it's risky, and a wrong move can cost you everything. It's not super deep, but it has potential. It speaks to the same kind of thing as Bruce Lee's Game of Death with its pagoda. |
