I think OP means that if you're not watching Monster in German, then you're not watching Monster at all.

That's why you should always watch Hellsing with the Eng dub.

Since the characters are British and the dub has the characters speaking with a British accent.

I only watch Russian multi-dubbed Anime.

English dubs sound lame and cringe to me (and since dubbers do a great job these days I rarely wanna watch Anime with subs unless it's some very obscure Anime that only have subs).

There’s nothing that confirms that the cast if Cowboy Bebop should speak English… Spike was born on Mars so he’s not even canonically from Earth.

So are you saying that if i didn't watch Shoukoku no Altair in Turkish, Yuukoku no Moriarty in English or Vanitas no Karte in French i did it wrong? Then, NO.

I think rather than that, it's better to watch something in the original language from the country it was made in, so, for example, watching Turkish dramas in Turkish, K-dramas in Korean and Anime in Japanese regardless of where the action takes place or what nationality the characters are.

So, should I watch Yumeiro Pâtissière in Korean because this anime was more popular in Korea than in Japan?

Wait, I already did, and it really improved my Korean.

You obviously don't know what  canonically  means.

Kinda meaningless for me what canonical means. As long as I enjoy an anime, it doesn't matter.

That's not the point. Your previous post does not make sense because you don't know the meaning of the word.

Tekken games do that. It's pretty fun, but the game I played didn't subtitle the English voice acting.

Waiting for Cyberpunk Edgerunners where everyone will speak in their langs especially Lucy in Polish.
I wonder if Piano no Mori has Polish version as it should.
And many more.

What abour Riko Brzeńska? She should speak only Polish in AoT according to that thread x). Deletov and Lobov in Russian, few background characters in Hebrew, Azumabito in Japanse, Zermusky [Zeremski in wiki] - Can be idk Polish, Serbian, Russian, Yugoslavian.

It is clear that Wit and Mappa has been lacking and lazy to cover the anime in proper languages for all the characters

Piano no Mori begins with Polish words x) as it begins with "Panie Ichinose proszę się przygotować" which is quite properly spoken you can just activate the first episode and hear it by your own ears so if they'd try hard they woud do that, maybe.

Wait a minute. Fushigi Yuugi would have 4 languages

(Opening theme in Japanese)

Southern Kingdom: Chinese dialect similar to Cantonese or Min
Eastern Kingdom: Chinese dialect similar to southern Mandarin
Northern Kingdom: Mongolian or Tungustic language
Western Kingdom: Turkic language

I would understand only 1 of the 4 languages if that's the case.

And for Koihime Musou, it would mostly be the much older form of the Southwestern Mandarin dialect (the one with 5 tones).

i just prefer to watch original dub no matter what language, because original dub = original script/original voice, so if its anime i will always watch japanese dub even if the story is set in europe because the original dub is japanese. the same with human movies, if im watching french movies i will watch it with french dub, etc.

Should we go a step further? For example in Monster Tenma meets two British people and they don't know German so in that episode should we all watch the English dub? Also the Journey sounded great in Arabic.

you're not really watching anime wrong if it's not in the original language of the characters
but for me at least, it ruins more than half the fun
I am in love with Japan, it's culture and it's language. Japanese is so comforting and japanese voice actors are very talented and leave a big impact on the anime. I feel like the voice actors play a big role in how good the anime turns out to be. so if the voice actor you're hearing isn't as talented as the original voice actors you're really missing out
and you're really missing out on the Japanese language too
Plus, I understand the basic japanese just by hearing and i'll have ease learning Japanese which i plan to do.

Does that mean that anime like Emma that doesn't have an English dub and Romeo no Aoi Sora that doesn't have an Italian dub are impossible to watch properly?

I don't think you're watching it wrong to watch a dub that isn't the one of the characters' canon voices even if one is available. Sometimes a different dub actually has the best voice acting, or the dub of the character's voices might not be subbed in your language meaning watching it that way would leave you with an incomplete experience as you try to figure out what's going on. There's a Swedish dub for Wonderful Adventures of Nils laying around somewhere, but if you manage to find it you won't get much out of it if you don't speak Swedish. Better just to watch the Japanese dub with English subtitles. Also, it's just not very nice to tell people they're watching an anime in the wrong way.
