Great show, did the whole dying and coming back thing really smart in my opinion. Satisfying ending too which doesn't seem to happen too much with these kind of shows. 10/10 would watch again.

This is a good ending, but I feel like it pointless to watch 24 episodes if Shinpei loses his memory in the parallel world, and act like nothing happen at the last ep.

And also, I was hoping for a romance ending for Ushio and Shinpei bruh

Alright I take it back, this ending was quite nice. Overall a very strong show, a bit light on the mystery front compared to stuff like Higurashi or Shiki but it made up for that with action.
I do think it did get weaker towards the end when everything focused on Shide though, Haine was pretty underutilized compared to how important she was in the middle.
When you have these all powerfull shadows and their plan was to replace everyone you do wonder why they didnt just do it multiple times over, as disappearing the bodies and taking their place does not even leave a case.

Shide clearly did not want Haine to regain her strength, so what was happening at the end of the third loop? Or did he only plan to steal the eye after he met shinpei?

I wonder if Shinpeis parents are alive in this world?

Rip shadow Miho, just vanished.

Honestly the ending was goofy as fuck and pulls this whole show down. It peaked in the middle. I wish we explored Haines motivations more, where did she come from, why did she put up with Shide. (How did no one ever notice him looking the exact same as his dad and son??)
It was a solid 8 for the most part but now that its over something is just missing to justify a really good rating, so a 7 will do.

The ending did it for me; I truly was not expecting that for either Ushio nor Shinpei. Although I enjoyed the series, I was bracing myself.

finally got around to finally watching this series

an wow was this series amazing, like i loved it

though this seems to be the case with series that involves time looping or things like it well least the ones i read. watched, and played  have all been amazing

and this was another one to add to that list

to even have that final ep that ended things near perfect to say the least  i mean the only thing i really wanted was for them to say they loved each other ect but i mean the remembered everything so it was bound to come next if it was shown

but yeah this was an amazing watch enjoyed every bit of this series

The ending is such a MASTERPIECE not to mention each episode with its suspense and tension! Shinpei and Ushio deserved it after all hell and pains they had going for them together as well as every character in this series! One of the Masterpiece for my collection~

So this is an happy end if I've ever seen one, everyone is alive, even Ushio. Kinda invalidates the death we've seen so far, but oh well.

It's a good show, even though the last few episodes were a bit of a letdown. But the suspense and mystery especially in the first half was nice. Could've done with less asspulls in the second half, but it was not that bad. 7/10

I really liked the first few episodes with the mysteries of the shadows. The shadows killing their original human and taking their place was quite interesting. With good story telling, that concept alone would have been enough to keep the story engaging. However, with the appearance of Haine, my interest in the show dropped a little as the show no longer gave me the shadows-are-creepy vibe. Even so, the show was entertaining but the overly happy ending makes me want to avoid re-watching the show in the future.

I loved this episode, it had me smiling, it's a pretty nice ending and I'm happy with it, however, I am not happy with the last couple of episodes, they were pretty bad, and went full retard mode with shounen shit, shitty-ass generic villains that wants to "destroy the world", for fucks sake, get the fuck out with that shit, the animation was lackluster in the action scenes too, however, it did have good animation in some episodes too which is nice but this anime doesn't have great consistency with the animation which is a shame, in some episodes the animation is shit, in another one the animation is pretty good.

I was planning on giving this anime a 8/10 but I won't anymore since I didn't enjoy the last couple of episodes, it was too shounen for my taste and I simply expected better out of it, plus the villain is shit, and the animation went down the drain in the last couple of episodes too, it wasn't horrible, but I simply expected better, at least the last episode is nice so there's that.

Anyway, I will end this rant with a generous rating of:

7/10

just watched this over the course of a few days and when i say i absolutely loved it from the beginning to the end, i mean it. and this was such an amazing last episode to end it all off.

i cried multiple times during this episode seeing everyone alive and together. especially seeing ryuunosuke all grown up and being a father. that specifically really hit me in the feels. and his kid's name is haine?? cutest thing ever.

that scene near the end of shinpei and ushio on the beach was just so precious too. they finally got to ve together again, and for real this time, not just ushio's shadow. shadow ushio thank you so much for rewinding time and fixing everything. you're the real hero of the show.

the one thing i didn't really like is that shinpei doesn't remember anything of what happened at the end and it's just brushed off as a dream. i guess it's so that he wouldn't be stuck with all that trauma surrounding everything that happened, but i was hoping he'd remember what happened. it would've made his reunion with everyone and seeing them all alive that much better. still a great show nonetheless though.

definitely a must watch for anyone. and definitely a show i would willingly and happily rewatch.

i liked the ending, many shows today go for a bittersweet ending but this author went for a good ending that was refreshing to see.
But I have one question: if anyone wants to clarify, Shinpei's parents were killed by shadows originially, but since in this new timeline there are no shadows, why weren't they shown in the last episode?

By transferring her memories to the real Ushio, you could say that shadow Ushio and the real Ushio became one. At least, that's what I like to believe.

Just another forced happy ending which ruins the overall decent series. At least its just one episode, not the whole last arc that is trash

Would be much better if, you know, victory over the chtonic evil came at a price.
Its not something for 7+ demographics, when good guys kick the bad guys, and watching kids should not be upset.

8/10, -1 for the last ep, so 7/10 it is.
Still a good watch.

Fireworks scene at the end was charming. I hope Sou and Mio is dating lol.

I expected Shinpei to come back to earth after defeating Shide and the story would end there. You know, some sacrifices were made in exchange for saving the world. I think it would be more effective. Not dissappointed with this ending though, especially good to see that Ryuunosuke is alive and Haine is reincarnated with a happy family. BUT where is Shinpei's family then? Why did he went to Tokyo if his parents were never killed? Wish they filled this part a little...

Overall it was a enjoyable watch.

What a great anime it was. I binged it in 2 days, just couldn't stop watching. The characters were amazing, the ending beautiful, though I'm a bit sad they all don't remember what happened and how they bonded when they were trying to save the island. Also, I have to say I usually don't care about romance but Ushio and Shinpei are the best-suited couple I've seen for a very long time.
