So I saw this in theaters but I went to the dub (I cannot read subtitles on the big screen it hurts my eyes plus the dub is so good) so hearing the sub this time was great I loved it. My absolute favorite moment was hearing Genya scream "DIE" because I forgor he and Bakugo have the same Japanese VA so when I hear Genya start talking I had to pause the episode from busting a lung laughing.

I agree. I’m all for the double length starter. I cannot understand those who don’t appreciate it just because it was “uneventful”. It’s the perfect setup to get things going! *sigh*

Anyways, I thought the guy at the end of the episode was the same person as the UM1, and the same guy in Tanjiro’s dream. — (why are they called upper moon instead of upper rank?). Also, I didn’t realize that he had a different sword! I’m going to have to watch it again. What I find interesting though is the fact that when Daki had the flashbacks, when she was fighting Tanjiro, of whom I assume to be same man, she never suspected him to be related to the UM1, which if he was, should be very obvious to her; but she didn’t.

The stakes can't be higher in this arc. We finally have an introduction of the remaining Upper Rank Demons to reveal their menacing appearance. Kibutsuji reeling from his loss of Gyutaro and Daki continues the fight by sending Upper Ranks Gyokko and Hantengu on a mission to confirm Gyuokko's intel.

Meanwhile, Tanjiro still rehabbing and seeks out the secret swordsmith village to find Hotaru for a replacement sword. Not only we get to see the culture of the swordsmith village but it is also important to the Demon Slayer Corp since they manufacture their weapons. While we do see glimpses of Demon Slayers Genya, Mitsuri, and Muichiro in this episode the build up couldn't be more intense when Heroes clash with the Upper Rank Demons.

Saw it in theaters, and was a joy to see on the big screen. The animation quality itself justifies the series, it is easily the best combination of cgi to visual effects I have ever seen. The plot was fantastic, as the episode ends with me asking more questions than when I started watching, which is the characteristic of a very gripping, interesting anime. The characters are lovable, and I loved their interactions. Of course, the I found the side character Goto extremely funny, and recognizing him as being voiced by Saitama's VA makes it even more hilarious. Overall the 50 minute entry into the 3rd season was very successful in my opinion, and I look forward to watching the rest.

This is an awesome 50-minute episode. The twisting and rotating camera angle scenes around the massive Infinity Castle alone is mesmerizing! My favourite is definitely the Upper Moon Demons meeting or the Upper Kizuki meetings --- the atmosphere emanating from them is intense, powerful, and agonizing! My favourite in the bunch is Akaza, but Kokushibo seems to be the character that's most hyped by fans in this first episode! 😁

As I expected, it wasn't great, uppermoon meeting was interesting and unpopular opinion I love Doma, I like him more than Akaza, his personality is funny and cute I love that type of character.
But Muzan is so stupid, how can he have that much followers, when he behave like they're nothing more than insect? He wants them work more suicidally (or something like that, ikd I watched it in my leanguage) and don't teamworking. It doesn't make sense in the long term.

The atmosphere, the scenery, sound, effects, and the characters, and their insane aura of destruction and power, they are terrifying omg
I got chills the whole intro, one of the best antagonist scene o-o

Ufotable coming right in with the animation prowess. The Infinity Castle was so well done. Interesting to see the personalities and interactions of the upper ranks. Lol at Tanjiro's ancestor looking exactly like him. I love the interaction between Mitsuri and Nezuko. (*≧ω≦*) She's so cute.
