| I don't get why everyone is disappointed, this was fun and I really enjoy the vibe (kinda synthwave ost and aesthetics mixed with super sentai). Also those kind of shows often have a cast of teenagers, so adult characters is nice for something a bit goofy like this. |

| It feels like a weird old Sega arcade game or atleast near the end it does. Don't really know what I've just watched. This first episode was kinda boring and the characters seem to be very one dimensional but im gonna give it a chance to redeem itself by ep 4. |

| Umm... I decided to watch this because it had a lot of my fave seiyuu, but this show is nothing like the trailer or what I thought it was going to be... Honestly, I thought it was going to be about workers at a club in Japan, but with a twist and intriguing/intelligent stories each episode with some lighthearted fun. But this... Men in Black/Power Rangers vibes isn't what I expected or wanted at all. Unfortunately, I really hated it, so it's a drop for me. |

| I gotta say, seeing everyone drop this because they feel so betrayed by the PV and marketing is hilarious. Did I get roped in by the marketing? Absolutely. We didn't know anything about this show at one point, except that it was airing this season and that Mamoru Miyano was doing the OP. But I stuck around and checked periodically to see if there was any other information. Crunchyroll eventually posted a simple synopsis about how it was about a group of people fighting aliens. At this point, nothing added up and I was sold completely. I just finished watching the first episode and I'm here to stay. All of this is insane. It's not the greatest anime ever, of course not, but you can clearly see Studio 3Hz having a blast with this one. It certainly has potential for being a great anime, it just needs to be executed correctly. I can see why it wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea - it's incredibly cheesy, for one. However, as things stand, it definitely doesn't deserve the 5.79 rating it currently has, and it's something I'm going to look forward to watching every week. If you're reading this because you're debating whether or not to watch it, go ahead and load it up. Just don't take it too seriously and go in with an open mind. |

| I thought it was quite fun. I only slightly disliked the part where Brian was hesitant to do something but at the same time he was very careless... but other than that I quite liked it and enjoyed it. Hopefully this will be a fun action and not disappoint me until the end! |

| So there are uma and yokais threatening the city, ok... and to fight them for sake of humaniy we have a bunch of... power-rangers?? who attack with... construction tools?? and they fire them like machine-guns??? can't take this seriously anymore, in fact, I think you can throw this shit to the wc safely with no regrets. |

| this is really... not great? but I'm curious to see how big of a trainwreck it gets to be. production quality is pretty bad, the audio mixing is mid (background music is so loud sometimes that I can't hear the characters talking), animation is slideshow-y except for that Borderlander transformation, which was cool to be fair. I'm not upset about the campiness, in fact I feel like if they're going for a tokusatsu-type feeling they should play that aspect up even more than they did this episode. I also expect this anime to have absolutely nothing of value to say about race relations, though they're definitely going to tackle it (re: the brief shots of protesters at the beginning). at best it's probably going to be some centrist both-sides stance, which... well. toying around with the idea someone else suggested that Zeno is a Borderlander, I genuinely can't tell if this show would run with him being the secret antagonist or him being "one of the good ones." both are pretty bad, but one is clearly worse than the other. maybe it'll get better, but I'm not holding my breath. I probably would drop this if I ever dropped stuff lol |

| Okay, the last 5 minutes sold me. Before that, it was a pretty standard gritty ex-cop story with an interesting premise but kinda so-so writing and production. After the last 5 minutes, it becomes clear this show is INCREDIBLY stupid camp and knows it. |

| I do not want to rub people the wrong way, but you do realize that Power Rangers is just an English adaptation of Super Sentai, one of the most popular Japanese IPs to exist, so the way this anime was framed is not inappropriate. An episode has passed, but that does not make the whole series terrible and since this is an original, there is little to no expectation as to what this series was going to be like. So do not expect Psycho Pass, Super Sentai, or even Men in Black. It is trying to be different and while this episode did not exactly land for a lot of the audience, at least it was clear in its communication and easy to understand, straying from slang and dialectics in speech and leaving the deeper stuff out. Quite a lot of anime have followed this formula before, like Yuusha Ou GaoGaiGar (in fact, GaoGaiGar saw a significant drop in ratings after episode 1 because of doing this, but recouped viewers by episode 4). So wait for another episode or two and then let me know what you think of the first episode in retrospect. (I do have weird taste ["short bus" taste according to some people that I know], so please excuse me). |

| Wtf is up with all the backlash at this show, like there haven't been silly and goofy themes that take themselves seriously in anime before. Look at Gachaman Crowds, or Kiznaiver for example. The animations are sick, the art style is okay, the color gradients are fire, the voice acting is alright, yet most of you are review bombing it because it doesn't look like what you expected? Get your head outta your ass peeps |

| Wow Japan has some really weird anti drug PSAs. They kept drinking beer, American beer at that not weak ass watered down Japanese beer while going on about magic mushrooms like it's the hardest drug out there to base a drug on.
