| Have you ever been called delusional for something that doesn't really make sense? Are people just trying to gaslight? Recently someone told me I was delusional for wedding planning. Like I'm engaged??? I'm not even setting things down permanently yet either. I'm just researching vendors, making a guest list that fits under the 60 max guests the venues I like require, and making some Pinterest boards for ideas. They said I was delusional because I don't have a date set since I have to wait for my disability court hearing in May to see what's going on money-wise for me. I don't really think that I'm being delusional but I could be wrong. Wedding planning is one of the only things that I tend to have control over currently in my life since I've been sick. |

It does feel like a huge shock or even an insult when you first hear it. But you get used to it and learn to live with it lol. |

| Sounds like they were just saying they think you need a proper date or it wont fall together exactly as you plan. My mom often tries to say im in denial to discredit me and ignore me so same thing as wrongly accusing of being delusional. |

| Delusional is just a common insult nowadays that people say without thinking when they disagree with you about something (often when they know they are wrong and therefore are unable to produce an actual argument). It only works well against smarter individuals since they tend take it way too seriously and often like to question the nature of things (which results in gaslighting). 99% of the time, it's better to just ignore the person. |
