All top tier choices. Zombie loan I totally forgot about it. I wonder if they ever published it in English. If so I'll have to add it to my list

Black Jack is really good. Not necessarily underrated, it’s rated well on MAL, and it sold a whole bunch, but it’s from the 70s, so not many people today know about it.

I think Kaori Yuki works as well are well deseving of a reprint.

this sci-fi one-shot called MY LITTLE MARS
humanity on the brink of extinction/fantasy manga with stunning art, Somali to Mori no Kamisama
fun "delinquent" manga with a lovable cast, from the author of Claymore, Angel Densetsu 
adorable romance/gag series about a succubus that is deceivingly wholesome, Yuuutsu-kun to Succubus-san
late 90s - early 00's music manga about a hard rock/metal band, Bremen, really fun manga with good representation and great characters
wacky sci-fi/comedy manga Agravity Boys, truly a masterpiece

Well there are many mangas that deserves more attention considering that they will not get anime adaptation or if they already had but not decent one

Basara ( awesome plot and plot twists work of art )
God child ( simply majestic)
Angel sanctuary ( kaori yuki agian )
Code breaker ( the characters are awesome)
Red river ( isekai at its peak )
Shonan junai gumi ( school life and delinquent and memorable characters)
Sanctuary ( thriller and thriller and thriller)
Tokyo crazy paradise (school life and mob leader there imagine the plot )
The Record of a Fallen Vampire ( work of art )
Get backers ( memorable characters and awesome arcs and bit complex )
Samurai deeper kyo ( awesome characters and plot and the final arc one of kind )

All of them are not popular and rare gems , so maybe you will like any of them or most of them who knows ?

Going off previewing a mangaka, anything of Kazuo Kamimura, his art is so mesmerizing. (Outside snow blood his work is really unknown)
I should buy his translated manga from France and go through bit by bit.

Library Wars: Love & War. I've only ever seen maybe 1 other person talk about it online. Really unique concept, especially for a shoujo.

Ani Datta Mono (He Was My Brother) | Manga - MyAnimeList.net (a bit BL (the main character is still a girl), but the main genre is horror. A lot of plot twist and will make you question everything in every chapter)
Kaya-chan wa Kowakunai | Manga - MyAnimeList.net (similar to mieruko chan but minus the fanservice)
Rojiura Brothers (The Brothers of Backstreet) | Manga - MyAnimeList.net (Comedy. Yakuza cat. Already ended)
Uramichi Oniisan (Life Lessons with Uramichi Oniisan) | Manga - MyAnimeList.net (I know it got an anime, but i still think that it didn't get that much attention)
Zettai BL ni Naru Sekai vs Zettai BL ni Naritakunai Otoko | Manga - MyAnimeList.net (Comedy satire about cliche BL trope)
Medalist | Manga - MyAnimeList.net (Ice skating Sport. Really great. It got a big potential)
Goukon ni Ittara Onna ga Inakatta Hanashi | Manga - MyAnimeList.net (Light hearted comedy romance SoL)
Pygmalion | Manga - MyAnimeList.net (Horror Gore. Ended.)

I can't rave about this enough. It's really really good. Especially once you get passed the first 50 chapters, it gets even better.

It's a historical based manga. The fight scenes. The strategies!! It really pulls you in.

I dont have too many but I recently got into After god (https://myanimelist.net/manga/143991/After_God) and it is honestly so good I dont not know where to find more people to gush about it about with. I really love the art, characters , story, everything about it.

Also, I loved barakamon and I have no idea why I had not read this manga - https://myanimelist.net/manga/118229/Yoshinozuikara written my the same mangaka before, I really enjoyed it. And maybe Setoutsumi (https://myanimelist.net/manga/72439/Setoutsumi) should be more popular too.

Witch Watch is one of the best comedy manga out there. Heck I think the jokes in Witch Watch lands much better than Grand Blue and are not carried out by exaggerated art and ecchi scenes

It's a cute romcom about a guy whose right hand is a girl who has a crush on him lol
It has some fanservice like a 2000s ecchi, but the story is pretty good.
