| I'm sorry but the animation was subpar, too much cgi. Katana Man reveal was disappointing compared to the manga, reminded me of killer queen reveal. |

| God, I am in love with this show. It indeed was worth the wait and the excitement that I had felt since I learned that it getting adapted. . To me, the first 6 minutes were truly an eye candy. The amount of detail, the cinematic atmosphere and mood, and the use of different angles to immerse us more into their world made it so pleasing to watch. RIP Himeno, she was an interesting character. And her last scene was sad yet beautiful. It was a great episode with some great action and shocking moments. I can't wait to see how things would unfold in the next episode. Also, having an ED by TK, was so perfectly fitting considering everything that has happened. Plus it was so good and had great animation. |

| From quite a lewd opening to a "wtf did just happened" ending, csm has the pacing I wanted from bleach. Not really slow but just has the peaceful atmosphere then we got a dramatic transition to the fight scene is just very pleasing to watch. Makima probably ain't dead yet cause she's one the mc, but holy cow that scene was mind-blowing, literally. And the ost just after was perfect. |

| Denji and his simple goals. Just about to get it on, Himeno sees how sentimental he is for Makima. Makima's lollipop countered the taste of Himeno's vomit. He and Himeno make a mutual pact to help each other get together with their crushes. The Curse Devil fight felt very weightless. |

| At this point, I'm convinced many people complain about CGI just for its existence, but because it's actually bad. The CGI was great imo & worked extremely well with the animation & visual design. This isn't 2003 anymore or some cheap cash grab, there's clearly deliberate thought & effort put into it all. Yet when anime fans simply see CGI at all, they instantly complain regardless of whether it's well done or not. I'm sure 99% of people will go on whining about CGI anyway, but at least stop calling all of it "bad CGI." This was not bad CGI at all. |

| So the episode started where the last one ended, with Denji being at Himeno's home or rather in her bed. We got some nice shots of Himeno and the PoV walk of her added even more spice to this section. Pretty funny to see how a completely hungover Denji still had such a strong reaction towards the word "Sex". At least nothing further happened thanks to the Chupa Chups in Denji's pocket. I liked the idea of Himeno and Denji forming an alliance to give each other a better chance with their crush. The extreme tonal shift this episode took in the second half is unbelievable. What even happened in the train? I'm an anime only, so I could be wrong, but I believe that someone like Makima doesn't get killed in such a simple way. There has to be more to it. Wasn't too hard to tell, that these were well planned assassinations on all the Devil Hunters. Especially with the introduction of the Katana Devil who also seems to be grandson of the Yakuza debt collector Deni knows. We finally got to see Aki's sword in action and damn did he overwhelm the Katana Devil. At least until the blond-haired girl appeared, who also revived Katana Devil like it was nothing special. Since nobody was able to help Aki at this point, Himeno offering her whole body to the Ghost Devil was the only option, even if it meant death. The Ghost Devils design was crazy and it also looked like the Katana Devil was about to get killed, if that blonde-haired girl didn't interfere for the second time. What even is that snake like devil she summoned? It devoured Himeno's Ghost Devil within a split second. RIP Himeno. You will be missed. I have honestly no clue what will happened from here on. To me it feels like pure chaos. Hopefully the next episode gives some more conclusion. Not to forget the ED by TK was definitely my favorite one so far. |
