Only watched like 4 episodes and it's already almost an all-time favorite of mine. The amount of relaxation and happiness I feel while watching this show makes me so glad. :)
How about you guys? What shows have you watched that makes you think that life is great?
It was a very good show indeed, IIRC it got delayed for quite some time, so it was a joy to have it back once again. I enjoyed Slow Loop even more though.

At the very least i could feel a sense of purpose in this thread. Good for you, I guess.
Help! I need somebody. Help! Not just anybody. Help! You know I need someone. Helpppppp!

All i can say is...Doga Kobo deserves some flowers for how MUCH it has contributed to tge slice of life community
I have that in my PTW. I must have liked somthing about it which is why I added it to my PTW. Will watch it some day. Great that you found a new favourite.
The end of an era. Thank you Wit, Mappa and Isayama.
Feeling half happy, half sad.
Totally agreed. The so-called yuri bait is not really there, I'd rather say it's focused more on the characters as individuals.
I wanted to recommend my interest stack list for more anime like this, but I can see you already have it saved. I'm glad I might have helped you discover this hidden gem! ^^
I loved watching Diary of Our Days At Breakwater whilst it was airing, although it got delayed partway through due to covid. I enjoy fishing so love any show with cgdct and fishing, although Slow Loop wasn't quite as good as Diary of Our Days At Breakwater. The coastal setting of Diary of Our Days At Breakwater was so relaxing and beautiful. Great OP also.
Houkago Teibou Nisshi was the last Doga Kobo series that gave me that old Doga Kobo feeling. I sincerely hope they go back to producing the kind of anime that they're good at.

Ohhhhhhhh! Yes, it was your "No Thoughts, Head Empty [Relaxing Anime Edition] [PART 1]" Interest Stack that reminded me of it. XD. In fact, it's also the same Interest Stack in which I also found RPG Fudousan (which I just finished right before starting Houkago Teibou Nisshi) and Houkago Saikoro Club (which I decided to give another chance once I saw your post), and both of those make me happy as well.
Information regarding why my anime history is how it is(not literal spoiler):
So, to explain why I've already watched 7 episodes of Houkago Saikoro Club, yet I'm still only at 5 episodes of Houkago Teibou Nishii... well... basically, I have less comfort time today and don't have enough time to watch 12 episodes(split between 2 anime), so I decided that I should spend my time with some episodes for Houkago Saikoro Club in order to finish it tommorow along with Houkago Teibou Nisshi, which means tommorow is gonna be so much fun!!!! Ahhhh! I'm so excited! XD.
Anyways, having watched Houkago Saikoro Club, I now feel confused on how I should score it ;(. I basically have the same experience of it with Houkago Teibou Nisshi, so it should also be an almost all-time favorite as well, like every episode was fun!
Spoilers for Houkago Saikoro Club:
Like in the 2nd episode, it was just so funny how the guy is trying to not make his crush lose, or that other episode about being unable to go to the beach due to rain and Miki managed to help the kid have fun with Goitsu, or that other episode in which Midori finally knew what "Board games aren't made by one person" meant, or that one segment in which Miki and Maki hanged out and in the first game session, Maki managed to form many insults against Miki and Miki unable to fight back, only for in the 2nd game session, Miki barrages Maki with compliments to the point where Maki blushes. Hahahaha!!! Every episode is just so fun, I feel so happy. :)
Mouuuu!!! Fine! I'm rating it a 9 instead of an 8. XD
Anyways, once I saw your post and realized that you made that Interest Stack, my excitement levels have risen even more. XD. Actually, I saw your post yesterday and I wanted to reply back so fast so that you could feel the same way I felt when I saw your post, but I had no energy... ahahaha.... But I have plenty right now! XD. So I'll go say the many things I wanna say without holding back.
I'm definitely gonna watch every anime in your Interest Stacks because I know I will like them! Well... I already completed most of them, but the ones that I've put on-hold or haven't watched yet, I plan to continue and finish them because Slice of Life is the best genre!!! A-Channel and Acchi Kocchi will make me feel happy, warm, and chill. I don't know what Aa! Megami-sama!, Arte, Gal to Kyouryuu, Leadale no Daichi nite, Mieruko-chan, and Yaku nara Mug Cup mo are about, but blind watches are great, as demonstranted by many many anime I blindly watched and then liked. I'm happy to see Amaama to Inazuma, Beelzebub-jou no Okinime, Hitoribocchi no Marumaru Seikatsu, Honzuki no Gekujou, Lucky☆Star, Konohana Kitan, and Ore Monogatari!! because despite having putting them on-hold in the past, I really really know that I wanna watch them.
Ahhhhhhh! So much to watch. My brain is overloaded. XD. I haven't even mentioned the many anime that I've completed. Ah right, the other posts.
Haven't heard of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners but based on its score... woah.
Ahhhhh, Deaimon and Slow Loop, 2 shows I've recently completed, actually, also consecutively watched. XD. Yeah, 2 great shows.
I enjoyed Slow Loop even more though.
Ohhh, naisu. I may think different, but life aint fun with just one perspective. Edit: Oh, but yes, Slow Loop is really really enjoyable.
Yuri bait? Eh...? Doesn't really have any yuri in it.
Tanoshii Muumin Ikka? Hm. Doesn't seem appealing based on its cover, but you never know. Might be a favorite of mine in the future. XD. It's not like I was thrilled on watching Summer Camp Island based on its cover as well, yet it's one of the most cozy cartoons I've ever watched. :) . Oh, and great list of shows. :)
At the very least i could feel a sense of purpose in this thread. Good for you, I guess.
Thanks. :D

Woahhhhhhh, I haven't been paying much attention to studios/companies but they're stacked with a lot of stuff. I can't just look at the seasonal chart, Interest Stacks, recommendations, or mentions huh. XD.
I have that in my PTW. I must have liked somthing about it which is why I added it to my PTW. Will watch it some day. Great that you found a new favourite.
Thanks!
As someone who largely prefers CGDCT focusing on a hobby over CGDCT about girls loafing around, I can confirm it's a good anime.
Ohhhh, didn't think much about that. It feels like CGDCT about girls loafing around, are at disadvantage, but then there are shows like Yuru Yuri, Gochiusa, and Non Non Biyori. XD. But yeah, realizing that separation just made me appreciate both styles even more. :)
Edit: And yeah, the OP slaps. :)
Ahhhhhh! So hard to quote everything ;(. But basically, I liked every post that mentioned anime and studio, or gave praises. XD.
Oh, Tatami Galaxy. Still not for me yet, probably, but it being described as really comfortable, woah. Now I'm excited in place of far future me. XD. I hope you feel really great watching that show far future me. :)
Anyways, I had a lot of fun making this long post, even if it didn't have everything that I wanna say in it. That takes too much energy lmao. Plenty is not enough. XD. Anyways, when I made this thread, I felt sad because not much replies were made in the first 2 hours, (though they were still great replies so I still felt some happiness), but then later in the day, I see so many posts that were really positive, even seeing the user who made the Interest Stack which reminded me of Houkago Teibou Nisshi, I just felt really really happy. It feels like I haven't even experienced life that much at all. XD. Thank you everyone for mentioning anime that you like, for mentioning different styles, for mentioning studios/companies, and for being happy, and as a result, making me really happy. This may not be the thread that will have the most replies, but this will forever be one of my greatest memories that I will forever appreciate. ;D. I actually cried. XD.
Well, I wish you all to have many great experiences. :)
Welp, just finished Houkago Saikoro Club right before this and finished Houkago Teibou Nisshi before that, and... I feel alright. Quite sad though. Seems like I'm not that energetic today. Oh well. They're still 9s to me, so that's impressive. Plus I'll remember those shows as shows that makes me happy. XD. Anyways, seems like I don't wanna do that 7-12 eps(1st session) 1-6 eps(2nd session) schedule thing anymore. There's always that weird feeling when I watch the 2nd half of the show. Happened with Deaimon and Slow Loop too. I should just stick to one anime per day, as less exciting that is. Perhaps I should pair a 1-cour anime and a short anime instead. Like the short anime will be my warm-up or something. Lol.
Anyways, I'm glad I watched both of those shows. They were really fun, and I wished my first-half experience of those shows gave me momentum to their 2nd halves, but oh well. I'm experimenting. Feels like I couldn't actualize the best potential watching experience. Oh well. At least now I learned that binging one show at a time is truly for me.
edit: Oh, and gonna watch Haitai Nanafa after this. Found it in an Interest Stack about underrated low rated anime. XD. Cheer me up pls.
Another update for how I feel. (Though I'd like it if this thread wasn't bumped. It's just for future me to see how I've recovered).
So, made a post right before this in my secret club talking about my sad momentum shift when completing Houkago Teibou Nisshi and Houkago Saikoro Club in a not-so-fun manner, but then I looked at those 2 shows in the Interest Stack, being side-by-side, and I just felt really happy. Like these 2 shows gave me so much excitement. Like sure, I completed them earlier in a disappointing way, but hey, we all have our off-days. It's not the end of the world if excitement shifted into not-much-excitement. Because there's the rewatch experience. >:D. Hahahahahaha! Beat that off-day! You can't stop me from being happy! I'll forever be excited for both of these shows that made me so happy, and you can't stop me! XD. Besides, I had a very bad watching experience of Irozuku Sekai no Ashita kara, and had an experience I'd score a 7, yet it's a show that I'd rate a 9. (Though it took a while to get there. Hahaha...). So it doesn't matter much if I had a bad watching experience really. It can just rise from the top through moments of appreciation, and I appreciate Houkago Teibou Nisshi and Houkago Saikoro Club. I'm glad that I watched them. I'm glad that they made me so happy, and will still continue to do so even after a not-so-excited watching experience, because appreciation isn't limited to a good watching experience, it's more than that. It's about what value you can see in a show. :).
Anyways, shouldn't I score Slow Loop and Deaimon as 9s? I had so much fun watching during my 1st sessions of them afterall. Mmmm.... Nah. Let the appreciation sink in first. They'll eventually be a 9 even if I don't feel like counting them as 9s right now. :).
Ah right, and I'll watch A-Channel next comfort time. Hahahaha! Slice of Life Saikou!
