This is the point in the manga where people start taking Black Clover seriously if they haven't already Elf Raia's disloyalty which is not telling his elves friend about the fact that the first magic king didn't betray them finally bite him back in the ass, or should I say in the stomach? The real mastermind is here, the one true evil being in the entire elves VS humans situation! Patry thought he was the mastermind? WRONG!!! He's merely a FOOLISH pawn in the TRUE mastermind's plan, the devilish plan to regain his own body back, manipulating BOTH the humans from 500 years ago and the reincarnated elves in the present age to his heinous will. A demon with incredibly powerful sound soul magic and fittingly creepy appearance. His appearance looked just like it does in the manga, although the pure black and white visuals of the manga made him looked slightly more sinister compared to the anime counterpart. Asta's 5 leaf grimoire was originally Litcht's 4 leafed sword magic grimoire. And the reason as to how it has become a 5 leafed grimoire has now been revealed. Despair. And just like the grimoire, elves too can be altered into a dark elf just like Patry did. How? Despair. Black Clover really loves the word 'Despair' huh... The fight where Yuno and Asta both fought dark elf Patry at the end was intense, but man the fun has just begun! |

| That devil is genuinely terrifying and I love his voice. I almost felt for Patry in this episode. The idiot got thoroughly broken by the devil both physically and mentally. At least we now know how Licht's grimoire went from a four leaf to a five leaf. Battle was pretty hype. Even if it reminded me a little too much of their previous fight against the half asleep Licht. |

| These elves get what they want whatever the obstacle may be, But what have they done what did Patry do A demon awakens and he seems the strongest one yet in the room and it's not playing around, But Asta and Mimosa came through although it might be too late for them, This demon sure knows what's going on and a bit of info given to us They've just unleashed something far worse than the elves this isn't good even to begin with this was not a good idea. |

| He places the stone. He left Ronne's body. Dat form. Akuma! It was him? Word soul magic? Asta and Mimosa arrive. Mimosa oppai skin. Dem spears. He reincarnated the elves? Licht's child? Patry's book turned into a 5 leaf clover due to zetsubou! Patry became a dark elf. Steal Asta's body? The Akuma leaves. Sakuga Clover in effect. Dat ending. Dat reveal and twist. Props on the Akuma's design. Not the 1st time Morikubo has voiced a Akuma. Now that the true villain is revealed, we should be in the endgame. That means the next OP song has to be a banger. |

| Was waiting to reach this episode and it didn't disappoint. Zagred's voice is amazing and I just love big reveals like this. The animation on the dark elf Patry exchange was pretty nice too. |
| Yuno unleashes a powerful attack on dark elf Licht/Patry/Vangance, who is able to shrug it off like it was nothing. What I love though is that instead of giving the typical shocked expression and the "HE WAS ABLE TO STOP THAT??!!", Yuno simply gives an annoyed "tch". Definitely a way more badass reaction I also love how the darkening of dark elf Licht/Patry/Vangance transitions so well into the dark background of the ED. I also like how the main baddy has finally been revealed and introduced, and how all that we were speculative of has now been properly confirmed. All that exposition though, not a good look for the first impression of what is supposed to be our main baddy. |

| This is the episode I left at, during the week it aired. It's been on hold ever since. Just found the time to binge watch. Since there's a huge gap, I just rewatched the last 15-20 episodes, to brush up my memories. So this demon is the one who triggered humans and got the elves killed, about 500 years ago. Plotted and reincarnated those elves into humans 500 years later. Just to get a physical body and a 5 clover grimoire. The 5 clover grimoire Asta possesses and the demon within it are different from the current antagonist. So, we have 2 known demons at present. |
