Which genre contains the most cringe anime?
| clearly romance, the way some creators invent the dumbest scenarios for a romance is incredible. Just imagine, who the hell goes clothes shopping when you are on a date for the first time with a girl? Why would you do that, what even is the purpose? |

| I consider cringe something that is both unrealistic and less interesting than reality. Most romance anime perfectly fit the description. Unfunny, exaggerated comedy comes second. Boys Love isn't any better. It feels like "we're already filling a niche, there's no need to deviate from the most basic tropes". |

As long as both are comfortable with their bodies (which is a lot less common than you'd think, even with very fit and well-shaped people), going clothes shopping together is a great date concept :) You get to be silly together, trying on all sorts of dumb, ridiculous things and laughing about it, you get to give out compliments without it sounding creepy, it's very interactive unlike some other, boring date ideas where you just sit next to each other in silence (like movies) but you have little breather moments to collect yourself while the other person is changing, so it isn't full-on conversation the entire time either. If you like giving gifts, this is also a good opportunity that saves you the trouble of having to think of something, because you can just say "hey, I'll pay for that shirt you really liked" or whatever. Also it happens during the day and in public, which means it's a very "safe" location where you/your date don't have to worry half of the time if they'll get abducted and never seen again, which helps with being more relaxed and open. And if you do wanna get a bit physical or flash some tame nudity at your date, a setting in which you have to take your clothes off lends itsself to it naturally. Oh, also, because you can't dress up super fancy since the clothes have to be easy to change out of, it has a much more casual atmosphere, so it's fine to just go to a food court or something afterwards instead of some super fancy restaurant, which is better for your finances too ;) Personally, I hate clothes shopping with a vengeance, but there are a lot of factors that make it a pretty fun date activity! Just keep in mind that the point is to have fun together, not to actually find good clothes. |
