So I was randomly browsing MAL and stumbled across this clickbait article Top 20 Anime Girls with Brown Hair on MAL, already expecting my beloved waifu Taiga to be on the first spot I scrolled down the page and was not only surprised that she was on second place, but on top was Kurisu Makise, a red haired girl, in a top list of brown haired girls. Shocked my my discovery I did a bit of research and found out she has red hair in the anime and manga and brown hair in the visual novel. But since this is a website about anime the later shouldn't matter, right? So I clicked on the article about red haired girls which was made 3 weeks prior by a different author and to my surprise Kurisu wasn't even mentioned there. Already suspecting a conspiracy behind all this I finally looked at the profile of the author of the brown haired girls article and discovered Steins;Gate among their favorites. Coincidence? I think not. How did they get away with this and what do you think is Kurisus true hair color? - this post was made by a coping Taiga fan |

| Kurisu's hair color is chestnut brown in the visual novel and red in the anime. Although the VN is the source material, considering her hair brown when talking about the anime is straight out wrong. |

| In VN her hair is more brown, and in anime her hair is more red. Just browse VN pictures to compare. |
| If I was going to say either red or brown, then I'd probably say red. Those lists kinda suck though. One because color is complicated. For example the lists for pink and purple haired characters have some of the same characters, and I can almost guarantee no one could prove why one is wrong and one is right unless there are color scientists lurking around on MAL. But also sometimes they're just wrong. Rin is on the brown hair list even though I think it's indisputably black. You could say black hair is just darker brown hair but then what's the point of the list. |
