what a coincidence, i've also been attempting to focus on reading more manga myself. must be a pain to have so much to go through, especially when they've been on your "Plan to Read" list for a while.

i see that you really liked Tokyo Ghoul. decent review on it too. i've yet to read :re but i should be getting to doing that soon.

i definitely recommend the Sankarea manga as well as the anime.

read your review, it seems it's more or less the same as the anime minus some extra details and a different ending. most anime don't adapt their entire source material anyway, though depending on how the anime is handled, that isn't necessarily a bad thing.

you should watch Sankarea, it's like Dusk Maiden of Amnesia but with a zombie and it's ecchi (for better or worse). i also recommend the manga, even though i myself haven't actually read it aside from a couple of chapters LOL.

i see you plan to watch Angel's Egg. you'll probably not like it as there's a scarcity of dialogue, an emphasis on aesthetics, atmosphere and symbolism, and is arguably even more experimental than SEL.

The suspense really picks up in the second season, and the character development is so well done. I can see why you felt some parts were rushed in s3, but the resolution for the characters is truly fulfilling.

It's awesome that Clannad is your favorite! It is my favorite anime at all time as it truly is a standout in romance genres, known for its emotional depth and character development.

I noticed you just finished the 2nd season of Fruits Basket! It’s a fantastic series as in 2nd season it gets deeper into characters and mysterious that holding them back from being normal in the society, and how Tohru (goddess) helped them one by one. I’m sure it will become one of your favorites too after you complete Fruits Basket: The Final.
