I wouldn't say im an experienced watcher, but I definitely change(even if I've watched the anime recently)scores, also there's nothing wrong with having a lot of 8/9/10. Sometimes I change scores(for better or for worse) I rewatch an anime, I bet if I rewatched One Piece or Naruto(and naruto shippuden), I'll give it a 11 out of 10

I do sometimes, there have been times i watched a series and enjoyed it but didn't think too much of it. But later, i look back and think "That was pretty good, maybe i should rate it higher". Like maybe it had some sort of impact on me.
My waifu is the most wonderful waifu. Mai Valentine.

We're freaking out that we're running out of time, but to do what? Should i stop and think of that? Is there something i could do to slow it down? Live in a day for once, instead of watch it sprinting by

I used to a lot. But nowadays, they usually just stay the same unless I have a truly compelling reason to do so

I change stuff sometimes. Sometimes lower, sometimes higher. I can't decide what to rate Space Runaway Ideon, I end up changing it every few months lol.

Sometimes and certain people.
I try my hardest to not change the scores I've given. I don't always succeed of course.
In my mind after you've finished an anime and rate it. Depending on the score, that's how strongly an anime connected with you.
So if you change it later, then you are in a sense, selling you're own integrity. I absolutely refuse to do it unless it's been at most a week since finishing and rating an anime.

Yeah, sometimes. But not drastically. Like I recently changed FMAB's rating from 8 to 7 and KnY Yuukaku Hen's from 4 to 5 and back to 4.

I change mine yeah, but only if one comes to mind. Usually this happens if I have watched a similar anime or an anime of the same genre and I think it's marginally better. But I tend to rate things that are good but don't blow me away as like a 7?

Idk

I think its normal.
Since experiencing more animes reinforces your consciousness to the cliches, plotholes and other facets.
Changing scores/opinions after a certain threshold of experience is something faced by many including me.

Yes, this is not only natural, but essential. Chances are, the first anime you watch won't remain your idea of either the medium or fiction's peak. The more you become aware of how certain premises or tropes are either saturated or handled better, the more your perception on a work you viewed in a certain way may become better or worse.

I do it sometimes. Over time my feelings can change or become more clear, and sometimes scores may be "it's closer to 8 than 7" but then I end up deciding "nah it's 7".

I don't know about others, but I know I do it a lot

Reason: I rate anime on 2 thing: how memorable it is, and how much I enjoyed it while watching, and the former I can only know over time

it depends on my view and experience with the anime, so of course, some will go up in value and others diminish as time goes by.

I normally don't. Mostly because if I'm rewatching a show then I'll already have a very high opinion of it.

That said, I've been rewatching World Trigger recently. I haven't finished rewatching the first season, but I upped my previous rating of "7" to an "8". The show is really good and only gets better.

I do from time to time as I get more acclimated to a specific genre/theme, and hence my taste automatically "refines" in a certain way. I mean, imagine if someone has watched only a couple of isekai shows because they are new to the genre. they are going to think that it is awesome and new and never-done-before until they watch 50 more same copies and realize that what they watched at the start is actually extremely mid. in essence, sometimes it becomes natural to label something previously watched as either worse or better depending on what you experience after.

kinda like when you get a boyfriend/girlfriend for the first time and they treat you like shit but you don't realize how actual shit they are until you meet someone after them who shows you true respect and love HAHA I am maybe exaggerating a bit but that's the idea.

Everyone does once they watch enough animes. After watching like 150 animes, you gain enough knowledge about animes to distinguish between different things in animes like animation, music choices, writing or tropes that are being too used or cliche scenes etc.. Earlier I used to rate all animes I watched 10 but then I started realising that I didn't enjoy all those animes equally so I can't rate all of them 10, so I started reducing the ratings by one or two points. I'm still new to anime and most of the animes I watch are all really popular and highly ranked ones so obviously you can find many animes that I've rated 10 but gradually as time passes I'm sure I'll go back and change ratings of the animes I've watched.

But sometimes it's not just writing or animation that matters when rating an anime, sometimes the emotional connection to the anime and the characters matters too, I've watched many animes which are rated low like in 6's but for me they are 10/10 despite the writing, animation and other stuff not being the best. I enjoyed those animes a lot and felt an emotional connection so they become a 10/10 for me.

For now I strictly rate the animes based on my enjoyment, if I enjoy it, if it's entertaining, it's getting at least a score of 8. If there is an anime in which some episodes are good but some are boring then it becomes a 7, if the anime is just watchable with a few fun moments then I rate it 6. I don't think I've rated an anime lower than 6, thought there are OVA's which I've rated lower than that.

The end of an era. Thank you Wit, Mappa and Isayama.
Feeling half happy, half sad.

I change the scores sometimes, not that often

Some opinions change over time, so some people revisit their scores once they have clearer opinion on some show and change them

I have for a few shows after the honeymoon period has worn off and/or when I watch a show that is similar but much better executed.

I occasionally change some of my scores when looking back through my list. Usually shows that I rated higher and then realised they are not as good as I thought they were.

I rate a series once I have finished it, I then revisit the score a month or two later once recency bias has faded and adjust the score based on my feelings at that point. The score will then remain the same unless I rewatch the series and my opinion of it has changed after the rewatch.

Yeah, I rated Madoka Magica Rebellion a 9/10 because I'm biased towards the series and it had jaw dropping visuals, but the more I thought about the story and tried to make sense of it, I realised it was actually a pretty shitty film

I change the score if I rewatch a show and it turns out to be better/worse than I remembered.
Who are you and why do you show your hostility towards a complete stranger whom you've not once spoken with before. Are you seriously asking to get blocked? Well, if that's what your intent is; to tempt me into throwing hands with someone as lowly and insignificant as you, then i may grant your wish provided you articulate yourself a bit better when trying to spite a person of my wavelength.

On the occasion a show will shuffle a score or two, like I gave Demon Slayer Season 2 a 6 but as times gone on I've been thinking about whether a 5 would be better or not. I feel when I rewatch it with my Uncle later this year I'll get a better answer.
