Haven’t watched it but I’m guessing this cour did cover up to that much material. Looking at the reviews I guess most of the hater left after cour 1 but seeing this scene is quite the bombshell compared to the controversy of the first part I imagine people flipped some tables when it aired. |

| There was definitely a vocal minority there bashing the scene and Rudy in particular, but nowhere near as many bashers as I expected. I think most people liked the episode or at least didn't hate the scene for being there since the anime did a fairly good job in executing the whole thing in a tasteful manner that didn't feel like fanservice. And the ending outcome after that episode was also a pretty depressing one so that played some part too in containing some of the damage. The anime-only friends I watched this episode with again, were completely fine with it and two of them even got emotional over the stuff by the end. There was a definite change there compared to how Episode 8 went down and Rudeus' thought process in those situations. |

| There wasn't a lot of uproar over it since the material was handled very professionally and didn't add more fanservice than necessary. We see Rudeus grow from the experience and how life isn't so predictable. Studio bind has done an excellent job setting a mature tone and atmosphere for the series, they have gone above and beyond. |

| Let's be frank. It's was actually very tame. Nothing was shown in actuality and the whole scene was over as soon as it began. The aftermath however was where the meaty part was at; like damn that was some cold shit. |

Yeah most of the hater including me left it after part 1 and I havent watched it yet (But I already know how bad and uncomfortable it was). MT isnt that popular right now other than only those fans who stayed but once the general audience watches it, it might get more hate later on cause you cant deny that that scene was at the very least, uncomfortable. |

| It took me out so freaking hard Like, it was all super serious and grey, Eris literally just found out that her parents and grandpa are dead and that she might be sold off as a concubine in order for her now fallen kingdom to be able to rebuild itself and then "I want your kittens, meow owo" I'm curious how Rudy will develop from this now that he's no longer a virgin wizard |

When I watched it, I associated it with Rudeus losing(the wine dropping to the floor) his virginity. Your analysis makes sense as well too, btw. |
