Have you personally tried mediation to get all your bad thoughts or emotion away?

For me it really helps, sexual, negative thoughts or bad emotion as well. IF I just watch a video that makes me angry or sad, I'd immediately mediate before the my thoughts starting ruminating into a downward spiral. Only if I practice mediation earlier I would've won NNN

I feel that you're referring to meditation

I once got interested in it myself but now just sad love songs and shit do it for me. Calms me almost immediately

This what happens when you don't hit your 8am spark. Your mind turned into goop, the neurons on your brain haven't fully charged yet, basically you felt like shit.

White or brown noise and some ambient music while meditation really helps me.

My personal favorite is this one particular:

I do an exercise called Grounding from time to time, that's kind of like mediation. I've only tried an actual (meditation) class of it once, but I wasn't good at it.

I meditate on a chair in my front yard and my incense is Philip Morris.

That counts, right?

If I were the protagonist of ‘Cast Away,’ I would surely try to. Unfortunately, I have not had the chance to do it yet.

I like meditation, wish I was more committed to doing it regularly.

Meditation has never helped me with emotion or bad thoughts but it has helped me focus up a lot more. Whenever I'm in a really distracted state I sit down or lay back in my bed and clear my head of all thought for 5 - 10 min, that always does the charm.

I'm fucked in the head, so one day I decided to try meditation. I didn't know shit though, so I found some "guided meditation" videos on YouTube, where some woman teaches me how to balance my chakras and imagine myself floating on a calm lake with Charon as my captain or whatever. It was pretty chill, but I tend to fall asleep. That's not a bad thing, being as neurotic and as insomniac as I am. Cool shit, but in the end I just started watching ASMR videos instead, rather than this spiritual mumbo-jumbo. Feels chill.

Only he who suffers from lesser mental power must thread the path of meditation. Or ought I say, to waste one's precious time?

Yeah like deep breathing lol. It really helps to clear one's mind and focus on the task at hand.

A ton of scientific studies verify it having many positive effects. Though depends on the method.

And btw Im not sure you realize you have both your profile comments and messages set to accept from no one so i couldn't respond to you lol.

It isn't something you get instant results from. It's a dicipline to change how your brain is wired where it gets easier over time. Though it's questionable if someone with schizophrenia should meditate since some studies suggest that may worsen some of those symptoms. Without me checking every study my assumption is they had a flaw in their methodology only focusing on one type of meditation leading these people to focus on hallucinations instead of tune them out. There are other things you can do for panic attacks.

Chakra meditation is only one kind of meditation and those guided meditations that use visuals are often basically self hypnosis videos. Interestingly chakra positions closely align with the endocrine system. Most common, mindfulness meditation you just focus on your controlled breathing and trying not to interpret things your senses pick up. Plus many others. I haven't had chance to look into effects of meditation on OCD though. If you still are troubled by OCD symptoms enough I could let you know if I come across something that may help. Though I may need additional info in some instances.
