Well, I enjoyed it, personally. The story is based around the MC who was isekai-ed into the webnovel series he was reading after choking on what looked like a Chinese dumpling while he was angrily complaining and debating flaws of the series to other readers online. The character in the novel he is isekai-ed into is Shen Qingqiu. The main issue with being isekai-ed into Shen Qingqiu is that he was one of the main villains of the series and has a rather brutal end. Major draw back about trying to change things? There is this system in place and the system is absolute scum and won't let him change certain plot points with the threat of taking a huge amount of points away which in turn would send him back to his original world. Where he's dead. So his choices are pretty shitty and he gets backed into multiple corners trying to build a good relationship with the hero of the novel world Lu Bing-he even knowing his character has essentially taken pleasure in tormenting the teen and knowing that he's still going to be forced to betray Bing-he because the scum system won't allow him to avoid it. Because it was a major 'plot point' in the original story and allowed Lu Bing-he to evolve and gain strength.
That was the first time I'd fully watched a series done in CG like this and it actually wasn't that bad. I got used to it. The only thing that I outright laughed at was the monsters and most of the fight scenes which were so terribly done it looked like something out of Arifureta. I thought the characters were pretty to look at though lol.
Anyway, if you end up really liking the other two series then I'd recommend it. If you don't then you can just ignore it. Mo Dao Zu Shi is my favorite of the three series, especially the second season (and Mo Dao Zu Shi Q, which is a chibi short series is an adorable addition to the Mo Dao Zu Shi universe). Also, Mo Dao Zu Shi has a live action series called The Untamed which is also a fantastic watch (and it's on Netflix).
Thanks a lot for the detailed info :) I'll watch Tian Guan Ci Fu and Mo Dao Zu Shi right after, and if I end up loving one of those I'll give Chuan Shu Zijiu Zhinan a shot
