Also i didn't expect kanbe to kill that woman
It was definitely implied like that but it's probably the boss she called

Finally the plot thickens, last few episodes were pretty chilling but something was brewing up and now I'm waiting to see some good plot twists.

Damn, I though Cho-san was a bad dude based on the last episode I'm stupid. Though this episode really made me like the dude, he wants to get shit done for justice. Boss, really damn silenced the woman. Respect to Haru though for sticking to his beliefs.

Kato really got some trustworthy comrades who will support him through thick and thin....until they are threatened with a pay cut and throw him under the bus as scapegoat despite Kato having done most of the job...

Surprised to see the otherwise friendly looking old man Chosuke playing bad cop there to get information from the woman Daisuke has caught by setting her up and also killing her? (don't think it's him). Curious to see what happened in that past case.

1. Haru's team can kick rocks. Those cops ain't loyal.
2. Kanbe didn't kill that woman, but his arresting her did lead to her death.
3. Chou is by far the best detective in the show, but every time they mention his retirement it raises a death flag
4. Haru is becoming more and more annoying with his "justice", and lack of detective skills.
5. Suzue went from tech genius who kicks butt to just standing there

Damn, the anime went full serious in this episode. I have no idea why she was killed in the end, but most likely she must have been silenced somehow.

Oh gooshhh, I expected the old man's cold case to be somewhat involved with Kanbe but his Mother? Wow.

Also really interested in why Kanbe's HEUSC is striking.... is it hacked or trying to "protect" him? It clearly doesn't want him to know certain things.

Highly doubt that Kanbe killed the woman, he wants information from her so it makes no sense. Maybe whoever is controlling the HEUSC/hacked/whatever did it?
but guessing it was her Boss as she did call him before Kato let her off the hook.

I’m enjoying the over arching plot beginning to thicken, the first 5 comedic episodes left room for a more serious story to progress and I believe it makes this show even better for it, I wonder if Suzue was hired as a play date or bodyguard to ensure Daisuke doesn’t get involved in this dirty case affiliated with the family

I am quite confused by the plank in the closet and what it means (im probably just being dumb) but overall a pretty good episode.

The plot thickens and we get to see and darker more secret side to Kambe and his family which was very interesting.

I do miss the comedy a little though.

Damn, the game just changed completely! There's obviously some dark secret in the Kanbe family linked to illegal trading/smuggling and it's something that Daisuke can't even access info on.

Seems to be some connection between Cho & the Kanbe family too, most likely to do with the murdered Sayuri Kanbe. I'm certain that Daisuke isn't responsible for that Imura's death but 100% it involves someone in his family... like the side of the family he can't any info about through HEUSC.

I appreciate Haru's strong moral compass and dedication to doing things by the book but I think that's going to have to change. Sometimes you have to use questionable methods and morally grey tactics to get a job done, just as I'm sure Cho has learnt over his many years as a detective.

with what you said at the end about using questionable methods, in an earlier episode haru had stolen a dude's clothes and tied him up (to get into that drug party). I had been pretty surprised that he'd do that considering the whole moral thing. Tbh, that kinda bothered me a bit, cause it felt kinda messed up/conflicting considering how he apparently always wants to do things the "right" way

I have no idea if Daisuke is responsible for the very last bit.

But i applaud it if he was. I like a character that can actually act on something. Finding out that his familly is doing dirty shit, he starts eliminating that dirty shit piece by piece in his own way because they wont authorize him to said information.
