| Good evening! I usually like to make threads on fairly innocent topics, but I've just had an experience related to the title (I'll get to that) and it doesn't seem like there are similar threads about this on the site, so here goes... Fellow forum users of MAL, what's something that you regret looking up on the internet? Obviously there's a ton of stuff on the internet that I regret looking up, such as the many sex-related words I've seen here and there over the years and fan art of the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, but the thing that inspired me to make this thread is... surprisingly enough, a character from a great family-friendly video game. Specifically Ms. Mowz.  If you don't know about her, Ms. Mowz is a cute mouse character from the famed GameCube game Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. She goes around the game stealing Badges and sometimes teases Mario whenever he finds her during his adventure. I personally like her a lot and imagine her to have a cute squeaky little voice whenever she talks.  Anyway, today I came across this cool video on the Paper Mario series that mentioned her briefly. The same video also specifically stated not to look her up on Google Images. I know the internet can be a pretty messed up place, but for some reason, I let my guard down, didn't think it could be that bad, and tested it out for myself on my phone. .........Let's just say it didn't take me long to immediately regret that decision. It's not so bad if you put the game's title along with her name in the seach query, but I didn't do that, and... well, I didn't even swipe down very much before I quickly closed out the screen and tried to reach for the nearest eyebleach I could find. Thankfully, someone was nice enough to send me a cute GIF of a baby kitten meowing. I both love and hate the internet. So... how about you all? Any notable experiences within this topic that you'd like to share? Obviously, please don't put any... specific pictures here. You all know why I'm saying this, and you all know why it has to be said even if it technically doesn't need to be said. As one of the best thread-makers on MAL would say, "enjoy in thread." ✩ |

| Few months ago, I watched this Luka Magnotta documentary on Netflix and due to curiosity, I looked up the real video of him stabbing his victim. I lasted 30 seconds or so before I closed the browser. Then there's this beheading video of two girls who went to the mountains. It was a nightmare that cannot be unseen. I don't even want to remember it anymore. Also, blue waffle. Please, please don't look it up. |

| Honestly I can't say anything stuck with me fresh in my mind. Of course there are things I regretted to find but the memories fade ysphyr said: Let me tell you a sad story. This happened during my teen years. Body modifications were very popular back then and things like tongue splitting or lip plates were seen as quite mundane. So one day I stumbled across this blog post by a young married woman - she and her husband were both into body modifications. And this post was about her husband's dick splitting. I don't know why I decided to look at pictures she attached to that post (one was of her kissing the mutilated pp). She also wrote how it makes her feel him better. It still haunts me. The other was also related to body modifications - someone told me about suspension porn and I looked it up for some reason. It was painful to watch. Trust me there is actually worse body modifications out there I've seen pics of on a body mod site that listed all mod types. Human suspension isn't so bad. The skin on the back is quite thick. Endorphines kick in so they don't feel it after a while. Though it looks harsh when limbs are added in. |
