| OOO, that was an unexpected turn of event, I'm itching to call Mako and her family a hypocritical mesh, but they did realize what the were doing wrong at the end. Mako should have kept her Goku uniform maybe? As often as she's taken hostage, you'd think she would re-consider. |
| the portrayal of isolation when they were getting richer was really good. it was moving to see ryoko have that much trust in her friendship with mako. fight club lol reminds me of another fight club |

I also don't like how whenever a story tries to pull this "greed is bad" moral they always make it seem like you can't be happy when you're well off, so you're better off being poor with a good family. As if being well off with a good family isn't possible and shouldn't be aimed for. It feels like something the elites want to brainwash the masses into thinking. |

| Yare yare daze Mako-chan. That was a great episode, I liked that they tackled this kind of thing, over the top or not there was something to be gained from here. It's good that the Mankanshoku family has learned from their mistakes... well at least Mako did, I don't know bout the rest of them lmao. Also honestly really like Kiryuuin, especially that smirk at the end. |

| This was a unique but cool one. I kind of hated everyone except ryuko this episode but I'm glad she was able to go back to the old lifestyle. It was sad seeing everyone being overpowered by money and wealth and forgetting what's truly important. |

| This school does have lot of sketchy clubs lol. Was thinking this all as an illusion of Mako, but no it was all real. Atleast they got to enjoy that lifestyle for once though. |

| Always loved this episode, still do. Even after a decade of watching anime Kill La Kill is still something special. |

| Ryuuko beating so many of these two-stars easily was kind of suspicious but it makes sense after the revelation that Satsuki's been using Ryuuko as a janitor to weed out the weak. A pretty typical "greed ruins a wholesome family" story, although I'd argue any family that does fall apart when they don't have to depend on each other for every little thing is no family at all. Although analyzing this aspect is probably going farther than is necessary. A bit annoyed that it seemed like Ryuuko couldn't hold her own against Mako, although she probably was holding back ( Mako wasn't 100% in the fight either but to say that Mako was on par with Ryuuko kind of cheapens the other characters who've fought Ryuuko, like Satsuki and Sanegayama). |
| Mako is hilarious. It's really interesting that they made an episode where her family was living in the slums and extremely happy but as soon as they became rich they all hated each other. I think they did a good job at showing how money ruins people. |

| Daaamn. Ep 7 was heavy. Good shi good shi. So far was just comedy but this episode was quite realistically satirically ironic portraying actual human behaviourial change with greed and luxury, class. |
| That's the most emotional and intense episode yet. I'm glad the family is back together. |

| such a sweet episode! i loved mako's speech to her parents and i loved the dinner scene- gods, it was kind of chilling! thread stripper on mako was adorable this watch as always, and a great storyline altogether. god i enjoyed it. character development for the whole makanshoku family is always great! |

| "Money changes everything" - it's true. I feel like this episode didn't really display the real issues with wealth, which is the exploitation of others to gain more wealth, rather it just showed that the family had more to do and spent that time noncommunally. Talking about "greed" seemed a bit weird; they certainly got fancier stuff, but it still seems weird. Mako did exploit Ryuko, so there is that. Still, I don't know. It feels weird to show a family in poverty and then show that they were better off in poverty than with their bases covered. The end of the episode went into this idea of Ryuko as a puppet to the fascist leadership, which could be okay as a plot going forward. |
