I just have a hard time believing Mitsuba is straight...and I KNOW I'm not the only one...and I'm pretty sure if I asked my guy friends 'Do you take pics of your guy friends without telling them?" they'd say "No, that's gay." |

Headcanon for this show, sure whatever. But the way you said it sounds like ur claiming when a guy looks feminine be it him having pink hair or cute features, then he must be gay or transgender. That's what i feel is offensive. |

Lol! Now I have noticed it. Hanako is Amane, and his brother is Tsukasa. These names remind me of Amane Tsukasa from Magia Record. |

This episode hit so hard. Tsukasa is even creepier than before. (What is it with villains being named Tsukasa?? First Dr. Stone and now this xD And I have a new appreciation for what a great character Kou is-- developing from the typical hot-headed secondary male protag to a very well thought out and empathetic character. His idea of making donuts and everything he did with Mitsuba made me internally go, 'Aww'. Really high hopes for this anime! |

Is it just me or the mouth animations when some characters were talking were completely off? Just the same animation used over and over and not even stopping when the character finished talking. I think there even was a time when Tsukasa spoke and his mouth did not open at all Was I hallucinating wtf Anyway this was a nice episode!! |

Just how much is the budget for this anime? There's hardly any motion at all. It's like watching a picture drama and the mouth movements sometimes don't match the voices. A shame since the visuals are so stunning. Development happened way too fast. Hard to empathize with someone we just knew 10 minutes ago. The plural of anime is 'ANIME' not, "animes". Hanako-kun is actually a shounen anime but that doesn't rule out a male character being gay. It happens...and it's been happening more and more because you know why. I'm not INSISTING Mitsuba's gay; we won't know unless Aida-sensei tells us. Just that he gave me those 'vibes' because of how much he resembles a BL character...along with how his scenes with Kou are directed. At the very least, it's Ship Tease...and the author is certainly having fun with it by having Mitsuba make all those molestation jokes about Kou having his way with him "JUST LIKE IN PORN". |

Oh wow, this episode had some Somali levels of crying. We just meet Mitsuba and the friendship between him and Kou was really only brought on during the first half of this episode but I will stand by saying I just got my heart ripped out watching Kou lose his Mitsuba. Tsukasa might be an antagonist of the year level villain at this pace after these last two chilling encounters of our heroes facing him. The beginning with Kou and Mitsuba was very sweet. Like I said we just meet him, he and Kou are just now rekindling their bond after passing each other by before in first year junior high. But I instantly felt happy seeing them spend that time together. Kou we hadn't seen side of him other than trying to help Nene or disrupt Hanako activities. Giving him this side story connecting back to the main plot of Tsukasa on the loose and Sakura with her radio distorting the apparitions into the mangled mess we saw Mitsuba in was nice to flesh him out and what he struggles with. Losing someone precious to him. Crushed my heart into a million pieces when Kou grabbed Hanako saying what else could've he done to stop this and telling him to not just accept these ends but to try and change this so called system he sees in the world. Maybe now Kou can have the resolve and strength to stop Tsukasa next time they face each other. Best episode so far. Incredibly heartbreaking bawled my eyes out. |

I was excited to see how they would animate Mitsuba's arc and I've to agree that there were some evident mistakes such as some dialogues which were out of sync... but in the end, it didn't bother me that much. I still loved this episode! R.I.P. my precious Mitsuba. You know that Kou will never forget you. |

What a heartbreaking episode and just wow! I feel so sorry for Mitsuba. I don't care, if it was a crush on Kou or not - guess it was -, or for both, or he wanted "just friends". It doesn't change anything, not really. Woah it was creepy and saddening what Tsukasa made him and how he died / disappeared then. I hate to see Kou like this in the end in his room. At least Mitsuba had one friend before he disappeared. I wonder who that little creepy psycho is. Was he a twin brother and the one, who hurt Amane when they had been alive? Did Amane kill his twin brother because of it? Is it not literally but metaphorically and Tsukasa was more like... "a dark part of him" or something? In this case, he might killed himself ... woah, I hate that I had this idea now. That was just a dumb idea, I guess he was his twin. I'm so curious what happened in the past. Besides that... aww, I love how Nene has / had this "little girl"-taste in boys, but she seems to grow out of it slowly, because she got curious to really get to know Hanako. That's a very good presentation of what love is imo. She always had these super childish and superficial crushes on guys and these "I want a prince- and gentleman-like guy and he should be incredibly good-looking"-mindset, but now she has to get to know someone for real. |

Boruto wears pink, and is he girly? fuck no! there are tons of NOT-girly anime guys with pink hair (like Saiki, Natsu, Shima Renzou...) and that doesn't make them girly. Same with the high ponytail. i can name dozens of not girly guy with high ponytails off of the top of my head, like Yatogami, Hyakkimaru, Shikamaru, Abarai Renji, Yato... so what if Mitsuba prefers pink and high ponytails? That doesn't make him girly. It's a person's mannerism and posture that makes them girly. And back to my original point. just cause he's girly doesn't mean he's gay or trans or is crossdressing and whatnot. |

I am honestly so annoyed at myself for thinking this show would not be worth the watch. I'm not even done watching all the episodes currently out, but damn it's only the 8th episodes and I'm crying over Mitsuba who we just met, and who deserved WAY better, and our poor Kou who just wanted to help his new ghost pal! I can't be the only one who cried right- I mean I cry over this stuff pretty easily so actually ya know maybe it's just me...BUT STILL- |

That was fucked up how they killed a gay kid just cuz he was gay/femme/trans. I guess you have to take representation where you can get it. But wow Japan is old fashioned. Killing off the minority/LGBT character is so old hat. I mean he was crying over him so much you could ship it, which is some consolidation. It's just so damn tragic. Unless you kill a straight/normie character now I'll be upset. |

Mitsuba... Really liked him. Sad he couldn't be saved. This episode was so good, despite the emotional pain i felt |

Wow, a really dark and sad episode this time. Didn't expect that... It brought me to tears. :( |

Ok, that was sad. I thought Kou would have a ghost friend until the end of the show but Mitsuba disappearing completely was shocking. I was thinking he would somehow be able to come back Yep, I would have liked that the buildup was longer but nvm. Tsukasa is a true evil version of Amane, we know how he gives wishes. It was also interesting that the evil brother was killed by his brother, when I thought it was the other way around. Pretty good episode 4/5 |
All weebs creatures of the galaxy, hear this message. Those of you who listen will not be struck by western animation. You will no longer know hunger, nor pain. Your Anime have come to lead you now. Our strength shall serve as a luminous sun toward which all intelligence may blossom. And the impervious shelter beneath which you will prosper. However, for those who refuse our offer and cling to their western animation ways… For you, there will be great wrath. |

I take back my words from the previous episode-- Mitsuba is best boi, he's just so wholesome and adorable. It's such a shame he got a donut from Yugi. Looks like Araki isn't the only manga author to give donuts to their characters LOL. |

Nene and Hanako's fate might be foreseen in this episode. And that's just too sad.😕 |
She got him back. If you understand the characters well enough, you'd know she did! |

So they finally tackled the subject of dead and how it's the end with no future. I personally liked how they depicted it and happy we won't be seeing Mitsuba anymore. |
