In reality, unless you are shallow and a gold digger these things would not influence your decision. If you don't have a connection to someone, it's really hard to force the issue. Makoto was attracted to Kotonoha on the train as it was on appearances only. However once he got to know her and spent time alone talking to her, the connection simply wasn't there.Big boobs and a rich family she may have, but a dull as dishwater personality easily overwrites that. Sure Makoto didn't handle it well, with his indecisiveness he inadvertently caused his own demise. You can see the chemistry between him and Sekai as a far more natural thing. I believe Makoto really loved Sekai but was too immature to realise it until it was too late. |

The company behind School Days probably just said, "Well guys, lets put the worst end in the anime so this will make lots of people get in rage and then they'll buy the vn and see by themselves the other great ends. |

| I think the ending was too abrupt, if they were going to kill him they should have extended the series and showed reasons why he should die. i don't think he should have been killed, he was a total tool but he shouldn't have been killed there and then. I think the anime was slowly getting unpopular so they decided to give it i big send off. |

| It's hard to believe that in the 21st century, people think cheating deserves death or any kind of physical harm. A cheater's body is theirs and they can do whatever the fuck you want to do with it. If it pisses or emotionally hurts others, those people affect have every right to choose not to associate with the cheater in any way. |

And at I think he got out easier than what he didn't want to do, If I recall after Seika stabbed him the first time and he was on the floor facing her he said thank goodness, I think he said that because note he would have to keep up with the trouble of lying to girls everyday and people looking at him and him being a father. |

| Deserved?.................I didn't feel bad when he perished, however I am not in full feeling that it was completely merited. Due to his complete lack of concern except for his own desires, I do think that whatever results followed were not unexpected. The result was the famous "nice boat" ending. If this story had been in the 60's, it would have been so scandalous as to have been banned. Today, it doesn't seem much worse than a news headline. |

| Makoto didn't deserve his death because I knew it would only bring misfortune and no satisfaction at all (Hence why Sekai was killed later). I know it's cheesy and sorta cliche but revenge isn't always the best choice. In the end, Makoto didn't really learn from his mistake now did he? Again, don't think he deserved his death (even though I too was wishing he would die). |
