This speed duel turned out to be pretty intense. Revolver may be one of Playmaker's toughest opponent so far yet.

Playmaker did manage to get Decode Talker onto the field again. Nice.
Seems Revolver really knows the inside and outsides about speed dueling though with his special skills. I'm quite impressed by Revolver tbh.

Awesome. Especially Revolver theme is really great. Also Topologic appearance is befitting of ace monster the big guy with absolute power.

Now need to wait for Playmaker to catch Firewall Dragon so that both ace "dragon" can clash fully.
Kickstarter for Rokujouma is fully funded. Good work everyone. Lets wait for the result of our hard work together.

Yusaku and Revolver start their duel and they put on quite a show. All or nothing, too bad it is probably going to end in a draw.

Though looking at Yusku is going to lose, how is he going to get out of this one, will Ema get involved? How long will the duel last.

Next episode, the duel continues so I guess Yusaku survived.

Crunchy subs keep changing between "ignis" and "the ignis".Can't figure out whether its a name or another acronym.
Unpopular opinion, but I found Bomber Dragon's summon underwhelming(was hoping for Varrel Load tbh).Link summon animation itself is really lackluster compared to the other types.
Won't spoil it,but the next couple of episodes are going to be a blast with the 2 most anticipated monsters finally showing up and Revolver probably getting his backstory.
P.S. Plz Ema be of use

Great duel so far, really enjoyed the action.

Playmaker still has that facedown card which will probably save him from losing.

Really looking forward to the next episode to see the continuation of this duel.

Now this is a first. It seems Playmaker and Revovler will play 2 separate duels in a row, with the speed duel ending in a draw and then immediately starting another duel inside the data storm, using the master rules this time (this means 5 monster and spell/trap zones, no skills, and possibly 8000 lp). I'm honestly more hyped about the master duel and I'm glad the speed duel won't get that much of a focus and will end quickly (not a fan of speed duels). When I heard that Playmaker vs. Revolver might be a 4-parter, I wasn't sure how they would handle a 4-part speed duel, but I'm pleasantly surprised with what they did. Hopefully all important duels will also be master duels instead of speed.

Well, the speed in speed duel isn't for nothing. Revolver could've won in 2 turns.

I wonder how Master Duel in this world works. I think Skill will still be in play otherwise Yusaku can't asspull another monster to counter attack.

Seems like MC is in a pinch... haven't recalled such an intense duel so early on in the series for past YGOs. Very interesting!

Yeah calling that a draw is kind of sugar coating it. Yusaku got blown the fuck out. Revolver seems like he will be a pretty enjoyable rival/villain for the forseeable future. I actually hope they make him stay an antagonist to some degree. Its inevitable he and yusaku will join up but I'd like it if he remained a wild card and not really the good guy. At this point though I'm not sure who else can be the main antagonist of at least the first season though its not like they cant just introduce someone. Then again the guy working under revovler seems like a good candidate.

wow I didn't expect Yusaku being so cornered very early and vs the "main antagonist" self!

The most similar situation that I remember is when Yugi fights Pegasus in a shadow game for the first time.

I'm almost 99% sure that Yusaku's set card is Link Restart and Revolver's is Remote Reborn from the new CIBR set. I really hate that due to one month break, the sets are way ahead of the anime and you can pretty easily guess huge portions of the duels if you know what the cards do beforehand and how they interact. Link Restart negates effect damage and revives a Link Monster, which Yusaku will most likely use to revive Decode and together with the token he'll get in the End Phase from Dragonoid Generator, he'll make Firewall next turn (which he'll most likely pull from the data storm via storm access). Revolver then will use Remote Reborn to revive Stalker from Yusaku's graveyard to Topologic's link point, triggering Topologic effect and destroying all monsters in the main zones, which in turn triggers Stalker and inflicts 800 damage to both players, resulting in a draw. Hopefully, the master duel won't be this predictable. I also forgot to mention another glorious misplay I noticed, in which Yusaku could've defeated Revolver, only had he summoned Encode instead of Decode. If he did that, he could've increased Encode ATK to 3100 with Stalker, then attack Cracking with Stalker, preventing destruction and battle damage with Encode and with its other effect increasing its ATK by Cracking Dragon's ATK, to 6100. Then Encode destroys Cracking and wipes out Revolver's remaining 3000 lp in one go. I don't want to sound like I'm complaining just for the sake of it, but the writing really insults my intelligence as a player at times.

Hey, I thought they will have 5 eps of Speed duel and they live somehow longer for 5 eps with less than 1000 LP each. Guess not. Master duel incoming.

We can safely assumed that Playmaker's set card is this card:
http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Link_Restart
to negate effect damage and summon Decode Talker back, then Storm access a new monster next turn that will ends their duel in a draw(?).

Really looking forward to the Master duel, and Revolver used his real archetype.

The duel was pretty awesome.

Revolver is definitely a strong duelist. Yuusaku is probably gonna have some trouble with him.

Yuusaku with the Link spam turn 1 Decode Talker summon. The best part of the epiosde was most definitely the "Sore wa do kana". XD

The link 4 summoning was epic but the I think Topologic Dragon's design could've been way cooler. Blue Eyes and it's forms are still the king I guess. XD

Yuusaku's face down card is probably gonna save him and a Master duel next epiosde would be epic.

maybe since they are inside the data storm itself they can use it since that where the links come from

That was a go0d duel between Revolver and Playmaker.Revolver is my favorite rival after all he is much better than Reiji.I just hope the duel isn't interrupted all the rival and MC first duel are interrupted looks like the duel will last for four episode if the duel is interrupted then it would be useless.I am happy we are getting the classic master duel by next episode I hope we get to see Ema duel after episode 13

Most enjoyable duel so far
We'll see a Master duel next with their decks at their true potential.
The Link marker dodging displayed by Revolver is a really interesting thing about the mechanic, always stay away from the opponent's extra deck monster zone unless you're doing it intentionally.

Someone mentioned that if Yusaku summoned Encode instead of Decode he had won, which may be true, but did they finish making the Encode card, like they did for Decode? Yusaku plays with real life cards, if I remember correctly.

I'm really enjoying VRAINS so far, but I wish we could see Playmaker use other strategies or gain new cards, I really love seeing the decks his opponents have and the strategies they use but it's just the same cards and strategies over and over with him, it's gotten quite repetitive and it's only episode nine. But I really enjoy Revolver's character, I hope we see more of him.

Cracking Dragon.
LMAo at Ai surprised at playmaker going for the Link Shokan immediately.

Revolver can use that skill.
Ghost Girl thighs strong.
Topologic Bomber Dragon?
Ghost Girl sticking that booty out.
Dat ending.
