| Generally bet on one girl or open end. I find the latter better in most cases because I'd rather have a vague conclusion over what can generally be safely assumed to be a terrible one, but whatever floats your boat. |

| I WANT HAREM ENDINGS! It just feels like a total cop-out when a harem anime ends with the guy just picking the first girl and hanging the best girl out to dry; or when the guy turns out to be a total pussy and commits to no-one. It's almost as bad as an incest anime where it turns out in the end that they're not actually related -- Seriously! Why even bring up the theme if you're not going to commit to it!? --That's just weak, half-assed writing from the author, and I can't respect that. |

| Ambiguous "harem endings" where the main character doesn't make a choice are lame. Proper Harem Endings where the main character chooses ALL the girls and makes an actual harem (taking multiple wives or the girls all agree to share him) are awesome sauce. |

| Harem endings are uncommon.Most anime adaptions have 'harem endings' because it's not ending. If you really want a real ending where the MC picks a girl,you may have the legendary "Go watch the freakin manga," or LN.I don't care But come on,you often feel that there's one girl that stands out more than the others.That's most likely the main girl. | Although I'm not really an advocate of harems in real life, I've become quite a fan of them in anime and in certain other SF/F subgenres. When an anime has multiple girls interested in the male lead and only one of them ends up getting him, I cannot help but feel disappointed for the other girls who held a candle for him, and at least a little bit of resentment for the girl who insisted on being his sole love interest. In those where the male lead does end up with an actual harem, it leaves somewhat of a bad taste when a harem girl speaks and acts as if she would prefer to have had him to herself and only grudgingly accepts that she has to share him with others. I also believe the same rules should apply for both genders. If a boy can have a harem of girls, then so can a girl have a harem of boys. Also, I wish there were more "yuri harem" anime. I only know of one 3-episode h-OVA that sort of qualifies. |
