| The only anime thing Disney touches is Ghibli because it's successful. And even so Disney isn't going to be directly in line to do anything with the rights, it's probably sitting in folders collecting dust. |

I partially agree with this statement but some people seek live-action adaptations which aren't mainstream shounen titles. A while ago, there was heavy discussion with HBO trying to bring Naoki Urasawa's critically acclaimed manga Monster to the TV format. It might have been cancelled as its stuck in eternal limbo. I don't give a damn about a DBZ , Naruto etc adaptation as they make me cringe thinking about it. The flop potential is so high. |
