https://8values.github.io Curious what other peoples result will be. My results: Social liberal, which is kinda close but still a bit off considering i'm more a social democrat or classical liberal and take issues with a lot of some of what social liberals stand for, but the values are about right, maybe a bit low on Nation/World since I value national sovereignty more. Searched the forum for this but didn't see anything. |
I love Christine "If one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours. He will put some things behind, will pass an invisible boundary; In proportion as he simplifies his life, the laws of the universe will appear less complex, and solitude will not be solitude, nor poverty poverty, nor weakness weakness." - Henry David Thoreau |

ECONOMIC AXIS: CENTRIST Equality - 50.6% / Markets - 49.4% DIPLOMATIC AXIS: PATRIOTIC Nation - 61.2% / World - 38.8% CIVIL AXIS: MODERATE Liberty 49.6% / Authority - 50.4% SOCIETAL AXIS: PRORESSIVE Tradition 35.6%/ Progress - 64.4%. Closest match: Centrist. Lol, I just said on another thread that I didn't quite indentify as a centrist. I think that tradition is pretty stupid and pointless, so I'm surprised I'm not a little more progressive. |

I think this test can be a bit misleading because many issues are not touched upon. When I talk to 'normal people' I perceive most of them as extremely authoritarian with their anti-free-speech, social engineering, quotas etc. I'd say I'm definitely more liberal than my scores suggest (though I guess I am authoritarian in e.g. the sense that I want strict regulations for things like the environment). Context matters, and these tests seldom reflect the contemporary political discourse very well. |

neo-liberals are hated by right wing people like alt-right groups but they put a disclaimer anyway What's the "Closest Match" mean at the bottom of the results? In addition to matching you to the eight values, the quiz also attempts to match you to a political ideology. This is a work in progress and is much less accurate than the values and axes, so don't take it too seriously. https://8values.github.io/ |

I am a peaceful liberalist, sounds about right. Although I probably would never call myself a liberalist, if you put a category on yourself you are judged quite fast in politics. I like this test, at least it has different categories and it doesn't throw everything on one bench.Sounds about right. I |

Apparently I'm a liberal, which is weird because I always vote PC(Progressive Conservative). Also the on Political Compass test I get center-conservatism/overwhelming-libertarian I think the liberals in Canada are too Liberal for my liking. Doesn't help that they're also corrupt as all hell. |

some of these questions are a bit vague; i would probably put the opposite of whatever i put down depending on the situation. i think both market and government intervention are equally important as long as a population's rights and needs are being met. i also expected my societal axis to be higher in tradition but i guess that wasn't the case for this test. |

So, Social, Patriotic, Authoritarian, Traditional. I'm a Nationalist, who supports welfare. here @AyameTomoko Equality (Economic) Those with higher Equality scores believe the economy should distribute value evenly among the populace. They tend to support progressive tax codes, social programs, and at high values, socialism. Markets (Economic) Those with higher Market scores believe the economy should be focused on rapid growth. They tend to support lower taxes, privatization, deregulation, and at high values, laissez-faire capitalism. Nation (Diplomatic) Those with higher Nation scores are patriotic and nationalist. They often believe in an aggressive foreign policy, valuing the military, strength, sovereignty, and at high values, territorial expansion. Globe (Diplomatic) Those with higher Globe scores are cosmopolitan and globalist. They often believe in a peaceful foreign policy, emphasizing diplomacy, cooperation, integration, and at high values, a world government. Liberty (State) Those with higher Liberty scores believe in strong civil liberties. They tend to support democracy and oppose state intervention in personal lives. Note that this refers to civil liberties, not economic liberties. Authority (State) Those with higher Authority scores believe in strong state power. They tend to support state intervention in personal lives, government surveillance, and at high values, censorship or autocracy. Tradition (Society) Those with higher Tradition scores believe in traditional values and strict adherence to a moral code. Though not always, they are usually religious, and support the status quo or the status quo ante. Progress (Society) Those with higher Progress scores believe in social change and rationality. Though not always, they are usually secular or atheist, and support environmental action and scientific or technological research. @traed its still better then that old dot chart we use to use that didn't tell you jack. |
