Read the 14 chapters that are out, and this is a pretty good manga, that last pages of this chapter almost made my eyes swell with tears. But it does look like the Japanese universities from the 90's had not gotten the memo, you aren't supposed to just draw beautiful women, you're supposed to draw men and women, old and young, skinny to obese, with hardly any muscle to very muscular etc. etc. Elsewise, you'll only be ever able to draw pretty women, which a lot of high-schoolers with no art training are already able to pull off.

Seriously, this is such an engaging manga.

I feel like crying right now. It's pretty obvious that he dies later on at this point. He's a really good sensei. I'm unhappy that they had so many misunderstandings between each other.

Reading this while in college makes me think deep about my own career and life.

I'll save the next volume after my exams are complete.

This chapter killed me. What makes it even more brutal, thanks to this being an autobiography, is how we can clearly see how much the author regrets her behavior even today.

God, the way he was eager to spend time with her and her friends, and how a cheap guy like him even bought that expensive alcohol for them...ugh...

Tear-inducing.
The brutal honesty is really on a different level in this manga. Hayashi's behaviour with her sensei reminded me of my own attitude towards my teachers and all....
Outstanding realism.

This is a different level of sadness I'm feeling right now.

Oh fuck I cried so much in the end how kind hearted sensei is and how she describe her story is really touching even I felt the same way many times that I did so many horrible things in the past now reading this manga I'm feeling really guilty.

Damn, it sucks how she treated him, but it's obvious she really regrets what she did

Ok I'm adding this manga to my favourites. It's so raw and she doesn't drag out the emotional parts so they just hit you so naturally.

This is the main issue I have with their friendship. The massive age gap. I'm sure Sensei understands her perspective. He's probably been there himself in his youth.

Throughout the manga this far, Akiko doesn't hide wanting to fit in. She's constantly stating how childish she was and that she was a late bloomer in terms of personal growth. Yet she's still just a kid compared to Sensei. All of these experiences are an absolute first to her. Things Sensei has already lived through most likely. If he can't cut Akiko some slack for this then the friendship was built on fleeting aspects of one another to begin with.
