One Piece is probably my favourite story of all time! Naruto and Bleach I was never really able to get into. Fairy Tail started strong, but by the Grand Magic Games arc it started falling apart and now I just think it's terrible. |

I couldn't care less about them. No offense to people who like them but in my opinion they seem boring and stale. And to me it seems like the biggest reason for their popularity is the fact that they're always getting new seasons and never end. I honestly don't care enough to watch shows more than 3-5 seasons, it just gets boring after a while, especially someone like me who once he starts a show, will try to avoid watching anything else (except new episodes of current season shows) until he is done. |

You all need to get over yourselves. These are all great shows. They are great because the same reasons you hate them. (Except 95% of all the fillers for these shows those I can deal without.) They are good no matter what you say. I know I sound like the guy who only watches the mainstream anime and only that but I've seen more than just those four. If you look at them without any bias you'll see that they all have great fight scenes with great characters. Have you ever seen a anime which there's a group of people and they all fight for themselves and by themselves and they all live happily ever after. No, because I've never seen that. If that were the case that anime would end with them all dying and would anyone like to see the main character and all the others die off. So if you go back watch them just don't watch the fillers. |

Naruto - Fillers are dreadful but the actual story is decent. Don't think I'll ever get into Boruto. Bleach - Probably will finish the manga within the next few months. Can't see them finishing the anime for some time if ever. Loved the anime and actually enjoyed the filler. One Piece - My favourite story in any medium. The manga is much better than its adaptation but the anime has a great sound track and the voice acting is top notch too so it's still worth watching. The animators do a horrible job 95% of the time however and because of the one chapter = one episode thing they have going on, I can see why people may get annoyed by the slow pacing of it all (I personally don't but to each their own). Fairy Tail = I've tried watching it and the first few episodes have honestly bored me. Obviously I'll watch it eventually but I've heard it's the worst of the "big 4". Now Naruto and Bleach have ended (I think I saw something about Fairy Tail finishing up too, don't quote me on that), I really hope Kingdom blows up and gets the popularity it deserves. I rarely see anybody talk about it on MAL. Pretty sure the manga's selling well in Japan, though tbf. |

I love Naruto and One Piece.I think One Piece is a better manga whereas Naruto it's a better anime (when you skip the amount of fillers).I grew up with these anime and I still love them. Some people love to hate on these anime because they are mainstream..who cares? Watch whatever you want. |

One Piece is one of the animes I plan to watch, but the deadly amount of episodes trully is off putting. Bleach, I saw about hundred episodes, and it was flawed, nonetheless it has its charm. The epicness. The boss Shinigami. The boss Soul Society. I loved the first Soul Society arc. It was just epic. But then the fillers kicked in and my interest went from 100 to -273 real quick. Imma complete it someday. Naruto is an anime I grew up with. And I'm not gonna lie, I think it did awesome job. Until a certain point. Shit was real up to Akatsuki - those colourful villians were still interesting crew, but then things got loose. Kishimoto tried to make the story complex with gods n reincarnations and although I was one of the most loyal fans, the last few arcs made me despise this piece greatly. Nothing worked. Naruto, already accepted by the people of his village, just had to ascend to a god level through terrible asspulls. Boruto is trash btw. Fairy Tail had decent start for a b-rank shounen. The stupidity of the anime is lethal tho. I didn't proceed to manga nor did I finish any of the two series, but I wouldn't label it as 1/10 garbage. It's definitely not good and certainly I call it bad, but there is some kind of enjoy value for those with lower standards, characters vary and I could imagine there are some solid arcs. Wouldn't go lower than 3/10 imho. |

As far as I am concerned there is One Piece and then everything else. Big 4? Not likely especially when you consider how much Naruto and bleach had fallen off before their horrid endings. Bleach - I loved the formula but the new characters later on were horrible and the rushed ending just didn't sit well with me. Naruto - The original Naruto is great and I will rewatch it many times. Shippuden is trash and threw away pretty much everything that made Naruto great around the Pain arc. Like the development of the side characters sucked in Shippuden when that is what really carried the first part of the series. Fairy Tail - It's never changed. I see a lot of hate for this series but if people didn't understand what it was about at the end of Episode 1 they only have themselves to blame. Fan service and Nakama power were heavily emphasized in he first episode and it's only gotten better with time. If you are not a fan of Nakama power I would never suggest this series to you. But as far as fun series, that isn't too serious, with good characters it fits the bill perfectly. |

One Piece: watched all episodes, movies and specials. the anime is good but the pace is slow after episode 650-ish. Naruto: watched all episodes, movies and specials (even watching bourto). overall its good especially the last part starting from pain arc. but the fillers ruin the mood. Bleach: watched all episodes, movies and specials. good anime with one of the best villains but it need to be continued. Fairy tale: I haven't watched it yet but it's my type of anime and i'll definitely watch it in the near future. |

Bleach > One Piece > Naruto > Fairy Tail. Bleach has brilliant presentation. I love all in this anime - presentation; world; arcs, fights, songs, characters, even feelers are good, not like Naruto One Piece has world like a dream and endless story is something I like. Naruto - good shonen with good story but i like more original Naruto before Shippuden. Shippuden end with Akatsuki. Fairy tail has e good atmosphere but I dont like the story. |

abhutrash said: Personally EY's my fav, but KPMG is a close second due to their consistent quality. Never cared much for Deloitte. Their history is a little concerning...I'll shut up now... One Piece - Probably would be my favorite of the four, but I'm not sitting through something that never ends. Bleach - Was pretty meh, but not terrible. Naruto - I'm too old and jaded for something like that. Fairly Tail - Looks and sounds awful, but I haven't tried it so I can't really say. In general, the long shonen shows are just not for me. I don't have any ire towards them, though. Yeah EY seems to have a lot more younger people than the rest. So I prefer EY more too. Hoping I can land a job at EY when I graduate. But back to the topic at hand. Not a big fairy tail fan, so I would rank it last. The series is too shounen for me with all the random power ups that natsu gets. He literally beats up everybody he isn't suppose to. Then there is also the fact that the show keeps bringing back dead characters like gray and lisanna. With that said I did enjoy the show back when I was in high school. Bleach would probably be 3rd for me. The only problem I have with bleach is the damn fillers (would literally air fillers during fights). Probably the reason the show was cancelled. Really liked the whole concept of the shinigami and soul society. I'd put Naruto at number 2. Good show but lots of fillers and friendship crap going around. It is pretty shounen too but Naruto does have some feels. Jiraiya's death hits pretty hard. And also ninjas. One piece is my favorite out of the 4. There's not that much fillers. And Oda does a great job showcasing the potential of all the devil fruit abilities no matter how ridiculous it is. Lots of feels and an epic adventure. |

One Piece: I watched a few episodes some time ago, and it was not bad, but I feel like I will never be able to catch up on it. Naruto: Watched some episodes. Pretty average, but I have to say I always happened to watch episodes with very little action xD Bleach: I read the first volume like 4 years ago. I don't remember anything xD Fairy Tail: I haven't watched it, and to be honest, I don't think I will. |

One Piece: Best among the bunch. Watching up to the end of Skypiea arc and switching to manga is the only real way to experience it. (Watching anime will take anyone years, but manga isnt that long. Each chapter has only like 15 pages after all. It will be finished in few months even for a slow reader) Naruto: Used to have some amazing aspects, but got increasingly worse as it continued. I held out hope for it to the end, believing mangaka will at least get the end right, but was disappointed. Not good enough even with the fillers removed Bleach: Has occasional good aspects, but still overwhelmingly bad |

First of all , i know i am probably in the minority but that's what why i like anime and people . So many different tastes and so many anime to choose from . Anyway back to our topic , i actually love every single one of them . And YES , you can name many faults for each one , but i tend to see things on the bright side and in the end , the moments and experiences that i have gained from watching/reading those are precious . Those four were some of the very first anime i have watched . Since then , i have watched over 150 different shows , from many different genres and ofcourse i see things very differently now . One piece : I enjoyed the anime up to the fishman island arc ( + gear 4 + zoros haki in dressrosa ) , then i switched to manga which its latest chapters are quite good . Bleach : If the anime did not had these long filler acrs ( although i liked the zanpaktu and clone arcs , we saw some nice matchups ) , it might even be my favourite of the 4 . The quincy arc was all over the place but it had some nice moments and in the end atleast we got some kind of closure for *most* of the characters . Naruto : I did not really liked the beginning when they were still little but i enjoyed shippuden . Moments like those of Itachi's last battle with Sasuke or Kushina's meeting with Naruto , will forever leave a bittersweet scar in my heart . Fairy Tail : Despite the general belief , i can say that FT is easily my favourite out of the 4 and in my top 10 . I like that it combines so many different genres . It can easily switch from being an ecchi comedy , to a more serious action show between episodes ( or even within the same episode ) . Last but not least , i really like that every single arc ( except Edolas ) has some minor details that connects them to future arcs and so on . Overall i am really happy that i actually got involved with these shows and they will forever hold a special place in my heart . To be honest i dont think , i could start such a big anime again , so i am glad i did at the given time . My advice is , that if you have the time and the patience , you sould give them a go . In the end if you dont like one ( or any ) of them , there is always so many other anime or manga to choose from . |

Hmm... It's a tough question. I'll try to be objective as possible; Bleach-> Used to be my favorite anime/manga for a long time. However... The Lost Substitute Shinigami arc ruined it. I actually watched all the fillers of bleach and none of them bad as lost subs. shinigami arc. I even thought it could be a filler. Naruto -> I finished the manga, and gave 7-8 iirc. Liked the ending. Anime though, i haven't watched it yet, and unfortunately don't think to watch it soon. One Piece -> I wartched it 'till the -which arc was the 4th gear was shown ?- But it was a huge down for the one piece imho.. I don't have any other positive or negative thougts on one piece. and finally Fairy Tail -> Probably gonna be my new favourite among the big 4, though it depends on how manga gonna be ended. After Erza's mother "thing" I almost dropped the manga. In anime however, still think that it has a long way to go. |

One piece is going somewhere (author has the ending planned out and all :D). It is around 70% complete, and is expected to be finished in around 7 years It's not even dragged out as people say (except for the dressrosa arc, but writer learnt from it). Watching the anime would take years, but manga isnt very long, with each chapter having only around 15 pages For anyone interested in it, I think watching up till 200 episodes and switching to manga is the best course. Didnt know about http://onepace.net mentioned by @DEGOZAURUS until now, but it also seems like a good option for any not fond of reading |

The only one I've watched and kind of funny that it's my fave (just love it) is Bleach I really enjoy it I know alot of people criticize (pretty much with every anime) it but I just enjoy it to much, the others ones didn't really stick with me oddly enough, I don't know why though. Anyways I don't hate any of them but I don't think I'll be able to watch the other big ones since they're even longer then Bleach (except maybe Fairy Tail I don't really keep track of that one) But none the less I'm glad they're always there for people since alot of them introduce people to anime, have pretty good stories (even if they're long and all have fillers which personally I don't mind since I think of it as an alternate universe style) but yeah I guess that's really all I can say really. EDIT (also I really do hope that the Bleach anime might come back and tie up the rest of the story and maybe Kubo can help out and end it the way he really wanted to an not rush the parts he had to.) |
All the Anime's on my list are all one's I own Personal physical copies of, or have seen in theaters that I plan on buying, series that I've watched on FUNimation or HIDIVE will not be on here unless/until I have already bought it. |

Well the show I watched the most out of those One Piece and yeah I liked at first, it was one of the first anime's I watched and helped get me into medium, liked the whole pirate theme, pirates are cool, actually really liked the artstyle too, was a bit slow at times but I was new to all this stuff at the time so I didn't mind it. It wasn't until alabasta that I noticed something very important something's that's kind of a deal breaker, nobody fucking dies in One Piece, like things seemed a bit off before (How the hell did Kaya's butler survive getting chopped up?) but alabasta was just absurd people get shot, sliced up, stabbed in the heart, blown up by city destroying bombs and then the final episode starts up and suddenly everyone is completely fine, it was just so stupid I stopped watching a few episodes after that. Fairy Tail I only read the manga but meh the only thing I can say in its favor is that at least the girls have actual curves instead of Oda's gross sticks with boob jobs but that's not really enough to keep me interested. Bleach my only experience with this show is an old dvd I bought years before on a whim didn't even like anime by then, all I remember is Rukia was in prison or something and Youruchi got naked. And Naruto I've had no experience at all with and judging from what I've heard about it that's a good thing. Yeah I don't really like long running shoenen in general, to me a big appeal anime has over normal cartoons is that you can have like a ending you know , the boy can get the girl, the tyrant can be defeated and the kingdom freed or whatever as opposed to western cartoons where things just generally get cancelled at some random point which is what these feel like to me. |

I actually started with Naruto, Bleach, and Fairy tail mangas. Finished original Naruto anime, and read it all till the end. As far as Bleach goes, i watched more or less everything (that was one looong summer) but stopped reading in the middle of the Quincy arc. I stopped with Fairy Tail somewhere after the grand tournament, and I think I watched most of the original anime? Despite all it's flaws, that thing had an amazing soundtrack. Naruto became a wreck by the end, as far as I hear, Bleach also went that way, and I'm not gonna be giving out any judgements until Fairy tail is done. Now, as far as watching stuff goes, I'm not planning on watching anything of those. That would be wasting far too much time on shows that ended up being mediocre. I am planning on finishing reading Bleach and Fairy tail though, because I want to follow the story until it's end. As far as One Piece goes, I'll probably start reading manga, and maybe start watching newer anime episodes, once I catch up with them. As far as my opinion goes on Bleach and Naruto... I think their biggest problem was that they never changed. They went for, what 15 years? During that time the original leadership grew up, and newer generations have different taste in their media. Moral ambiguity and grey characters are in right now. While both Naruto and Bleach had some elements of those, most of the time they stayed true to the good old formula of good and bad guys. That plus getting new powers on demand plus fifteen years, meant that most of us just got tired of it, and followed till the end for completion sake. |

All 4 have amazing soundtrack! One Piece : Great story, lovable cast of characters, has a lighter tone compared to Bleach and Naruto, noticeably average animation / off design during PH/DR, terribly enlarged boobs done by TOEI (a lot smaller in the manga, Toei please staph) Understandably slower pacing however not excusable lack of manpower/effort put into animation (getting better in WCI) Naruto : Childhood classic, there's no other anime like it, feel like the writing style has changed for the worse in the latter part of Shippuden, haven't resume the anime since it felt like it was in filler-land for eternity, certain female characters could've been characterized/developed much better, Boruto is terrible due to said change in writing style in Kishimoto's older years Bleach : Probably the dullest among the 4, it used to be hype to watch, but after a while I am not feeling this show anymore, a lot of pseudo-philosophical pretend talk between characters which really put me off when author chooses that style of writing Fairy Tail : It was great, it used to be great, I used to think this was going to be one of my favorite magic series ever, back when hype existed, couldn't care much about the action scene ever since Hiro stopped caring about making it great, since the action has huge implication to the story and the action felt lazy, somewhere along the line I also stopped caring about the story, since the drama can be resolved relatively easy, that alone can mess with the level of expectation for the future story arc, wasted potential. |

With all respect to the fans I think putting fairy tale in there is personal prejudice. Also bleach started well but slowly went downhill (couldn't read the manga after it was finished since the art didn't impress). Naruto didn't end up with Sakura in the end so screw it. Character designs in One Piece are off putting so I couldn't sit for any episode. But the thing about lobg runners is they have their highs and lows (usually fillers but also poorly plotted arcs in cannon) but the great number of episodes represents a massive hurdle for newcomers. In my humble opinion any shows with 100+ should be skipped or just watch one not several (mine is conan). |

One Piece - I pretty much caught up on the anime and not too far behind on the manga. It is a personal favorite of mine. I love the world building and characters so much. It really feels like a grand adventure. Naruto - I finished Naruto (barring the fillers near the end) and I'm like 45 episodes into Shippuden. I think it is good, kind of fell off from it a bit cause if a serious is really long like this I prefer for it to be more adventurous as opposed to actiony like Hunter x Hunter and One Piece. I plan to get back into it eventually. Bleach - I don't really have an interest in seeing it as people say after like the first couple arcs or 60 episodes or so it gets bad. Fairy Tail - about 20 episodes in., so far it seems good, but it seems like it starts to stale over time so I'll see. sasalx said: One Piece was good until the fisherman arc. Now it is reaaaalllyyyy bad. Even the manga. What!? Nah. Fishman Island saga was a tad dull I'll give you that but Dressrosa saga (punk hazard arc and dressrosa arc) was pretty good and this Yonko saga has been amazing so far with the zou and whole cake island arc. |

FT was starting great TBH, but now it's just pure shit... |

Pullman said: One Piece - Best thing that ever happened on Planet Earth. Painful pacing but since I'm experiencing stuff for the first time in the anime version it's always exciting enough to make me not mind the pacing too much. I take the slow pacing over having like 30 episodes of filler per year like in some Naruto years any day of the week tho. Naruto - pretty damn good if it wasn't for all the fillers ruining the flow of the story. But I still love the world, main plot (and side plots) and a lot of the characters and towards the end of Shippuuden even the fillers got good. Bleach - pretty bad all things considered. First arc was great but afterwards the only thing making it watchable is Kubo's cool designs and eye for stylish fights. The whole cast is utterly boring and the writing is ridiculous tho. Fairy Tail - pretty solid fun, lots of cool arcs and decent characters but it definitely declined harshly after like 150 episodes or so. The later arcs just aren't the same and it also became more and more watered down by fanservice, even more so in the manga from what I hear. Pretty much this. Also in later arcs Fairy Tail suffers from very weak writing and unnecessary plot twists. |

I find them all wonderful. It just takes the time to to get into them since they are long Shounen. Fairy tail starts off sort of slow so i understand why people can't stand it, naruto is like the god of mainstream so that already comes with it's its own problems, bleach is the complete definition of shounen lmao, One piece teaches a lot about friendship and chasing dreams. Anyway, all I'm saying is that they aren't for everyone |

Rips off other shows, giving it no identity of its own. And the "nakama power" was cringe. Abuses EVERY literary device. Asspulls, plot holes, shit characters, shit story, shit everything!" do you want them to say more than that? sincerely wasting time in giving meaningfull criticism to fairy tail is pointless there are hundreds of better or even worst shows with way more to actually discuss Nah it was fine what he said. It's not like I really care about the show. ... But there having only a few of these shows (besides else) I think it's worth making a review for it. |
