| In four months, it will have been a century since the first supposed anime was ever created. Interesting stuff. Most likely, the footage was lost in the last century, but we do know it was at least created. This is what happened with Yoji Kuri's Acchi Kocchi, which has since been destroyed in the past 50 years. Sorry. |

| No lol, this film along with many other early pre WW2 productions have been lost to obsurity and completly destroyed. How ever this is actually not the first anime production, its actually Katsudō Shashin a 3 second strip that was the earliest form of japanese animation which was created in 1907 its not on MAL probably due to the fact that there is alot of contentious debating on rather or not it was considered an actual anime production cause it was a 3 second strip where the frames were created using a stencil device for magic lattern slides. |
