| Here on MAL fujoshis are hardcore but in tumblr, for example, the yuri on ice fandom is chill and overall cool. There is no hate, just metas and fanart and the only overreaction is when the ep itself comes out. |

| The problem about fujos behaving like animals isn't the fact that they're being offered the gayest non-BL show in a while. The problem is that they're women, and wherever there are lots of women flocking together there's bound to be gross talk of kinks, infighting, tumblr-tier community rules to secure the safe space, claiming that everyone else is just insecure because they don't understand you, people talking about their personal problems even though nobody cares, ganging up on anyone who disagrees with the general opinion etc etc. People's disdain for the fujoshi is very much about what people hate about women in general. Is it sexist? Maybe. But are women in general just shit? Because many of them totally deserve all the hate they get. As both a woman and a fujo I probably sound like a self-hating apologist. Someone posted a pic saying "don't try to understand women - women understand women, and they hate each other" and that pretty much sums up my opinion on us fujos. I thank the fujo communities for browsing pixiv in my stead and posting all the best gay fanart. They're literally good for nothing else. |

| That's just the tip of the iceberg, you have seen nothing! At least their feelings seem mutual in Yuuri on Ice, fujos are like barking dogs ready to bite anyone who even writes any other character's name anywhere near the guy they ship the MC with, even if you are not into gay ships they'll call you names and say that "at least I don't ship MC x xyz like you". If nothing else works then they'll bring in the LGBT rights and blah, blah, blah. In that aspect YOI fans are slightly better as compared to other fujos, they aren't turning obviously straight characters into gay for the sake of their rainbow colored imagination and then forcing it down the throats of other fans who are not into gay ships. |

| Ah, them generalizations. Mmm.. I think that fujoshis/fudanshis seem intense right now because it's the first (mainstream) anime to canonize their shipping feels (between two males ofc) consistently and thus intensifies the crying and screaming of them fujos. I agree with @bodyslam that MAL fujos are a lot more civil than tumblr fujos. I saw this one post where it was like "Yuri! on Ice setting new anime standards". Like what. Nooo. If it's anime, anything goes. Yuri is everything Tumblr embodies. There are aspects of the show that are highly praise-worthy but overall it's arguable. Ahhh.. But yeah, it's disappointing to see not a lot of Fujos cognizant of how the stories are told and too clouded with their shipping feels. |

| I don't know what to feel...but....do most MAL users especially males really abhor fujoshi that much? I mean, being too excited and too hyper when it comes to things you love seems pretty normal to me. Say just last few months when the game Persona 5 got released, I was sooo out of my mind that I can't stop talking with my friends on the net about it even if they must have been really fed up already with my fangirling over it. I really love it that's why I can't stop thinking about it, can't keep quiet about it. And I guess that's the same with girls who like yaoi too. They probably can't contain their thoughts anymore so they unleash everything they have in their mind here on MAL and other sites. Of course, this might seem bias since I watch yaoi shows too(just a little really, and I don't add them on my list for some various reasons) but I just want to say that showing your love to those things you like is normal. |

That's why it's called FANbase. guys fighting over on who's the best waifu = normal fapping over lolis = normal fujoshi(or fundanshis) fangirling over YOI = scary. Wtf? ( now, fujoshi fangasming in non-bait anime are one thing (not that I mind), but it's different in YOI, it's there, what do you expect them to do? YOI is like a "wish-come-true" for the fujo ) |
