| Not sure about log horizon since I've never watched that series before, but I cannot really compare overlord with SAO. I mean, apart from the MC being stuck in the virtual world, to me they are a bit different to make a fair comparison. |

| Log Horizon was pretty amazing, with action and interesting social interactions ontop of a good story, but can get boring at some point. SAO's first arc was okay. It gets only worse and worse after that. Can't tell you for Ovelord. |
| Log Horizon S1 > Overlord > Log Horizon S2 > SAO To be fair though these series are pretty different. LH has more focus on game mechanics, Overlord is about an OP MC who's in control of an undead army, and SAO was about survival and the MC saving his waifu. |

| log horizon is automatically last for having those stupid ass kids and abandoning plot points, it would have been better as a slice of life. OVERLORD's vol 3 adaptation was rushed to hell for some reason, I blame one punch man. Hope it gets a 2 cour when opm is over and gets an anime it deserves. sao is a'right. |

| Overlord, it's not even a contest. Log Horizon was somewhat interesting but I got really bored by the end of season 1. The less I talk about SAO the better, I have a pretty strong distaste for that series. |

| Having watched all three Overlord > Log Horizon > SAO Choose Overlord over Log Horizon because a human converting to an elder lich king is far more interesting. Not annoyed by a single character(unlike Log Horizon). |

| Both SAO and Overlord are entertaining Log Horison is boring. It has too much dialog and boring fights and characters. People who like Log Horison are probably the same people who like these boring school/slice of life anime that has a lot boring social interaction. |

| Ok, I love the 3 series so much. In my opinion, I wouldn't compare SAO with Log Horizon and Overlord. In Log Horizon and Overlord the game becomes their reality. In SAO, they're still playing a game (before Underworld arc) Log Horizon and Overlord indeed have a better plot, they can shape the world as they like want, but SAO does a good job making a solid game. Overlord MC is playing to be the bad guy and conquer the world. Log Horizon MC is playing to be the president and find a way to return to their world. SAO MC is playing a game and wants to save his waifu(s). If they ever make a 3rd season of SAO, watch it. It's like Log Horizon or Overlord, the game becomes their reality. P.S. Don't be a hater, just love the three of them. (I voted for SAO tho). |

| It's honestly really hard to judge because at least in the case of SAO and Overlord aside from being stuck in games there virtually completely different. I haven't seen Log Horizon but have seen and heard quite a bit. Anyway like I said it's hard to compare them because there so different. With SAO it's more on the realistic side and there is an actual real danger/threat that if they lose in the game there brains get fried in real life. There also is a clear goal of needing to clear the game as well as in my opinion more character interaction because it's not just one human and then all npcs. Overlord on the other hand is [I haven't read the lns so if i'm wrong and things change there idk i'm just going by the anime.] Overlord is actually kinda confusing from what i've seen so far tbh. It's just sorta out of nowhere that he get's stuck in the game for an un known reason or it becoming a world or whatever. It's kinda unclear from what i've seen. Then there is no viable thread as far as I know because there is no risk in the game as well as no real purpose other than Ains taking over. There also in my opinion is no real interaction being he's the only real human there and it may change but so far the npcs are just a bunch of settings pretty much with a little personality. Log Horizon from what I hear is more leaned towards being like Overlord except beign alot more focused on the game mechanics and things of that nature and very detailed but kinda plain in the charries and everything else. So for me personally SAO is vastly better for those simple reasons. Someone that prefers the opposite would most likely pick Overlord. SAO is more a serious with real consequences and realistic emotion driven anime and Overlord is more fantasyish game, action/world building. Overlord is pretty decent and I find it entertaining but I don't get nearly as into it as SAO because it just isn't as realistic which is a odd thing to say I know in anime and this genre but i'm sure you get what I mean. What happens in SAO makes sense and is at least to a point detailed how it happens and you could see it possibly being able to happen if the tech was advanced enough. With Overlord it just seems more like dude magically gets trapped in game with no reasoning. The fact that there is no real life consequences and the fact there is no other humans is what made me hesitant to watch Overlord. Overlord is actually alot more like [Though even there much different and SAO still is much more realistic with it and it makes more sense and is detailed.] like the SAO Alicitazion arc in the light novels currently happening that hasn't been shown in the anime yet. Where things become muuuuuuuch more in game involved and the tech and what happens with it makes it alot more like Overlord. So for me I would put SAO at #1 because of all of that and then Overlord at #2. Log Horizon at #3 it just looks to me like a much plainer basic and less visually appealing but more detailed close thing to Overlord. SAO is for those who want more realism and a real danger and more emotion. Overlord is for those who want it to be more focused on the game world and more fantasy style. Log seems to be more for those who want something alot more detailed and super true to real mmos. I would honestly like to see peoples real opinions on this being the three are from the very same genre but all 3 vastly different but it'd be near impossible to get. Posting in either the Overlord or Log forums obviously there gonna go that way for the most part same with SAO. Post it in the normal forum and SAO will get no fair play because it's the cool thing to hate. Overlord will get the newer more casual fans and ones who simply enjoy it and Log will get all the elitist and people trying to just look cool and act like there better than everyone. |

| I have seen the 3. SAO would have been nice and all if it doesn't focus on romance and all that shit. Log horizon is good but it gets boring a times, dragging on with a too long a dialogue and focusing too much on the kids more so on minori, she has more or equal screen time with shiroe and she always get to do heroic staff. Overlord has a good plot, good characters and nice phasing until they have to rush everything at the end and needs to finish it with just 13 Episode! Still, If I have to choose, it would be Overlord for the plot. |

| Lol posting this in Overlord thread will make Overlord win eeeeaaaasy. But, tbh, Log Horizon>Overlord>>>>>>>SAO. Like, I feel if Overlord was a bit longer and build its world a bit more, I would like it more. SAO just plain fucking sucks. So imo, Log Horizon is the winner (for now; might change when Overlord S2 airs) because of its heavy focus on world-building and ACTUAL MMO mechanics (and politics, I'm a sucker for that). |

| #1 Overlord #2 SAO #3 Log Horizon Log Horizon is terrible, it is everything that is wrong with isekai anime with huge violations in internal logic and consistency. As bad as people say SAO is, at least it is somewhat internally consistent (Barring one particular asspull that came right out of nowhere, you know which one). Overlord I find to be the best because it manages to do what I've never seen another anime, or show of any type, do effectively. It takes the "op protagonist destroys everyone" concept and makes it interesting, funny, mysterious and believable. Not to mention Nazarick itself is rich with lore and backstory, enough to fill many season of content... then if you extend to the outside world, you have even more to work with. Log Horizon couldn't even last a few episodes without running dry. |
| I did like Overlord in how the anime presented Momonga as a Ruler. Although, let's just say that the LN was quite different when I started to read it and instead focus my hype on the Guardians rather than the MC itself. SAO for me is enjoyable, in a sense that it was my first isekai series to watch. The S2 was quite bad except for the Mother Rosaria arc that I loved, or whatever the name was; it was Yuuki that I liked there so yeah. LH was quite good in terms of the mechanics presented in the anime; the introduction of the world and its gameplays and the character that SAO didn't quite do good on the S1. Ohhh well, overall, I'd choose Isekai Smartphone just because I liked the flow of the series and its-- well cliche setting but still resulted of me enjoying it. |
