| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- I'm starting to get interested in Akechi's character in this series now..and I also have a feeling that Hanasaki's past will be explored in the future. However, it's interesting to see Akechi's past this episode even though it wasn't all that pleasant. But for what's worth, Twenty Face is still someone to watch out for in the series. The fan service felt rather awkward this episode ;o Akechi teasing Nao is also kinda amusing. |

| Decent episode. We get a lot of info regarding Akechi's past and the beginning of his relationship with twenty faces. Poor Akechi though, He lived quite the harsh life. Twenty Face's reasoning feels a bit weird to me, He's basically doing all this just to help give Akechi that thrill. Yet at the same time he considers Akechi evil because he indirectly let both of his fathers die. Though the entire thing with calling Akechi evil happened kinda out of nowhere, There was no prior build up at all, they should have shown something that lets us understand why Twenty Faces' thinking warped that way. Hanasaki has issues with his Dad, Considering that his father said Hanasaki was the eldest son of the family, This means that Hanasaki's brother was disowned by the family. A little interesting development at the end, I suppose the upcoming case will deal with Hanasaki's past. |

| this anime is such the romance. the double romance double protagonist/antagonist thing is great so now that we got context on akechi and 20-face, they add Hanasaki's brother in what appears to be his own plot! damn this is great. |

| Interesting episode. We get to see Akechi's past with twenty faces. But seriously, twenty faces is just crazy. I don't get why he would do something like that for Akechi, just because he saved his life? For fun? I don't think that's it and if it is I'm gonna be really disappointed. Curious what's gonna happen next week with Hanasaki's brother. |

Yeah I agree it felt weird, but there's probably more to it. At the very least, we can assume Twenty Faces Kid(?) was crazy from the beginning, remember that kiss scene? Not something a normal person does right? Well I suppose you could consider him kind of deranged, but I still hope they flesh him out in a little more detail later on so we can understand his character better. |

| Man Akechi had a pretty rough past with his abusive father. I'm glad he was left to die alone. So we now know who 20 faces looks like now? Also, looks like Hanasakis brother and history will come into play soon. Very interesting episode with alot of backstory. Also, yeah.......WTF was Kobayashi doing naked? Hanasaki and Kobayashi seem completely ok with it so that kinda threw me off. |

| Uhm it seems like they're going for a Kobayashi/Hanasaki Ship here. Hanasaki must be a pretty chill guy if he DOESNT mind Kobayashi lounging on his bed naked. Took me a moment to click that 20faces wasn't some random chick he saved. So the dad looks like a pretty rich person, his son has broke away from the family and declared an independent state in Japans own borders...I think the brother is going to be called Lelouch. Wild theory lol |

| Akechi is my favorite character for this series. We got to see some backstory, which was nice. It seems him and Twenty Faces go way back. It looks like the guy that appeared at the end is Hanasaki's brother. Very interesting. |

| I had only said in the episode 5 post that I hope we see someone else's backstory and we see Akechi's! So, next one may be Hanasaki because of the little info we got during this episode about his family. The one I definitely want to see of his backstory is obviously Kobayshi. There's just so many mysteries surrounding him that we; the viewers, the characters and even he doesn't know about himself. So, twenty faces had black hair in the past and now has white hair ... how'd it turn white? I don't know why, but I'm thinking Kobayashi may be related to twenty faces (some people thought he was Hanasaki's older brother, so I'm thinking he might be Kobayashi's brother only because of his memory loss he doesn't remember) |

I don't think Twenty Faces really thinks he's evil on a fundamental level. I think everything they say and do is calculated for maximum "thrill" for Akechi. So they created a dividing line between them to better facilitate their new adversarial position. Rather I feel like Twenty Faces is legit in love with him. Even this new stuff with them seemingly willing to kill people despite their past MO is most certainly wrong -- They know Akechi will save them so they simply push the envelope. |
| That was interesting.. they managed to put each back stories randomly and followed by classical bgm. Did twenty faces kissed (or killed?) that beardy man? Did he put something onto her (his?) Mouth? Idk what's going on but definitely he is annoying. His obsession with sousuke just terribly wrong. Also I confused with light setting in hanasaki's hall room scene. Wait.. how did actually the water pump gun hit Kobayashi? Wasn't his shield work well before? |

| Of course, a backstory episode. It was alright, but even after all that, I still don't find Akechi all that likable. Best part of the episode was that random apartment building wanting to become its own nation. |
