I watched the first episode, and it was kinda entertaining. I wanna know how it will turn out and if I should keep watching. Will it be more plot-focused or similar to Cute Girls Doing Cute Things(which I also like)?

My 5 yo brother watches this dreck so I guess I've absorbed some info on it. It's a kids show so its not really plot-focussed, more of an episodic thing where the problems and resolutions are shown in the same episode mostly. Kids don't have that long of an attention span you see.

No. You shouldn't. It will eat away at your sanity.

In all seriousness, if you do find it entertaining... just don't go as far as any of these "bronies".

The first season is entertaining, particularly due to Lauren Faust's involvement in the show. The rest is crap that bronies honestly have no excuse for liking, and wake up every morning forcing themselves to like because they've gone too deep to back out now.

"It's not like a normal little girls' show!"

No, the first season wasn't. The rest is. They couldn't even have a real villain, he of course had to turn into a good guy.

Oh, and forced anime references! Look at how cool and cutting-edge this show is! IT'S NOT FOR LITTLE GIRLS!!!11

*sigh* Maybe I'm just still a little bitter that Dan Vs, a unique comedy that actually skewed more towards the older demographic that was airing on the same channel, got canceled for not being as successful as this pony money generator.
"No, son, you may not have your body pillow at the dinner table!"

I would say go for it if you're interested, I tried the show too see what was so great about it and I found it annoying, it reminded me too much of Moe anime (which I can't stand).

There was this brony in my high school anime club, it was funny because he was always trying to get them to put on My Little Pony even though he knew it wasn't an anime.

In Fact he got this AMV on in the club two years in a row and 70% of the club was furious each time because they said that it ruined there favorite animes.

I would say go for it if you're interested though.

Friendship is Witchcraft is better and there is an anime version called "Ghost Stories Dub".

Shugo Chara! is an anime fairly similar to MLP and it actually does a better job at addressing at lot of the same issues. Instead of cutie marks where it is accepted that everyone will get theirs someday the equivalent is guardian characters which may be killed. Both of these things represent the person or pony's ideal occupation (ie. their talent).

The show itself is fine for what it is, just don't get involved in the cancerous brony community. You will regret it.

Dropped it already. Watched the 2nd episode, everything was way too rushed and silly for me (I liked the friendship theme, though).

I'm now watching Harvey Beaks, which is a pretty good show so far, for anyone who's interested.

No, if you want to watch a show for young girls just watch some Precure or Pripara if you can stomach the large amount of CG dancing.

I'm glad you dropped it already, but in case you want to watch any MLP show again, remember this:

Romantic/sexual relationships do not interest me. I want perfection, if I can't have it, I don't want it.

I watched the first three seasons after one of my female friends who is obsessed got mad at me for making fun of something I had not even seen.

It's a show created for children. It gives good lessons for young kids. It has some catchy songs and actually entertained me for a few episodes.

Do I think it's worth watching? If I was a little kid, sure. But I don't understand the fuss made by the older fans. I don't think it gets much better but I think some would argue season 3 starts to add some depth. Not enough that I would keep watching though.

Once you catch brony syndrome you will start to become sexually attracted to horses, only grow facial hair around your neck, develop manboobs and eventually total loss of masculinity. you may as well be bruce jenner. JUST STOP IT

It's pretty entertaining. Catchy music and great characters. Would definitely recommend. It kinda goes downhill after season 2 though. Seasons 3 through 5 (the most current season) had a few really good episodes here and there with good music but otherwise they weren't anything special.

I'd also highly recommend the Equestria Girls movies. The first 2 anyway, the 3rd one was pretty meh.

I really love MLP, the fan base is VERY weird though.
But don't let this stop you from watching it.
I was once under the false impression this was a kids show...well it kinda is and kinda not.

Pinkie Pie is the best btw.
