That One-Punch Man boost tho. I'm assuming Orange sells so well because of its live action movie? Like the series, its definitely interesting too short tho :/ |

5 main aspects I base my ratings on: 1. Did DramaEnthusiast make a thread about it? 2. Is it better than Breaking Bad? 3. Did MellowJello recommend the shit out of it? 4. Has it caused a (very entertaining) shitstorm on MAL? 5. Is it actually good? Scratch the fifth point, it's not very relevant... |

You will often see boosts for Manga just by having an announcement of an adaption. It makes people check it out beforehand. This happened to Chihayafuru where the volume that went on sale BEFORE the start of the anime broadcast had showed a boost over the previous volume. EDIT: EEPS! I must have replied to the wrong message!!! Sorry |

Since when does a year have 53 weeks? http://www.epochconverter.com/date-and-time/weeknumbers-by-year.php You're right. The last time a year had 53 weeks was in 2009, and Oricon covered from 2008/11/17〜2009/11/22, which is 53 weeks. So looks like there's one more week of 2015 then if Oricon is planning to do the same thing in 2015, and that means the 2015 yearly list will now be out on December 7th (always the 3rd Monday after the last day of the Oricon year). Thanks for the correction. |

Well looking at the list, I can say snk has far exceeded my expectation. At the end of the year in 2014, I predicted that snk will probably sell around 6 million since I thought the backlog would have dried up by then. But now its at 8.5 million which means the backlog is still fairly healthy. which indicate to me that its individual volume sales should be higher than last year. I won't be surprise if the regular edition of volume 15 and 16 has already surpass 2 million. And the overall sales for these volume with the limited edition should also sell more than last year release volumes. What I find interesting is that snk individual Volume sales is still growing. 2013. Best volume sales. Vol 9. 1.9 million full sales since vol 9 did not have a limited edition. 2014. Best volume sales. Vol 12. 2.28 million. Limited edition included. And I believe volume 15 will top volume 12 sales. Volume 15 already sold more than volume 12 in the first half sales for 2015, compare to volume 12 first half sales. I could be wrong though. |

That OPM boost is insane. I can't wait to see how it does after the Boros arc airs. I'm hyped as fucking hell for that. |
People on MAL refuse to actually enjoy watching anime. Your taste in anime isn't a personality trait. MAL is literally just anime Twitter as its own website lol. |

WOW! OPM boost. Awesome. |
But it's important to remember that a movie review is subjective;it only gives you one person's opinion. http://www.classzone.com/books/lnetwork_gr08/page_build.cfm?content=analyz_media&ch=30 It doesn't matter if you like LoGH,Monster etc.If you are a jobless or college/school dropout living in your mom basement, you are still an unintelligent loser. Taste in anime does not make you a better person. If elitist don't exist, casual pleb and shit taste also don't exist. |

Bear in mind that some series have missing weeks of sales, so please take a look at the spreadsheet to see what the lower and upper bound of sales are. Pretty much #1~2 are set in stone, while #3~5 could be one of the 3, depending if Ansatsu Kyoushitsu sold much closer to the weekly series thresholds in the weeks it is missing sales. Kingdom will either be #4 or #5. Haikyuu!! is definitely #6, while #7~13 is really hard to call, since it depends on how close One Punch Man, NARUTO and Tokyo Ghoul were close to weekly series thresholds in the weeks they are missing sales. *1 13,790,776 ONE PIECE *2 10,165,052 Nanatsu no Taizai (七つの大罪) *3 *8,463,518 Shingeki no Kyojin (進撃の巨人) *4 *8,450,315 Kingdom (キングダム) *5 *8,088,737 Ansatsu Kyoushitsu (暗殺教室) *6 *5,858,091 Haikyuu!! 2014. ^ do you know how much did the limited edition for volume 9 sold? Seeing as how its a keychain I don't think the limited edition sold much. |
