| DBZ is the most popular and biggest anime/manga series ever. Z has ended 20 years ago and it still overshadows One Piece or Naruto in terms of popularity and relevancy. Its iconic and had a huge impact on many famous mangaka such as Oda or Kishimoto. Heck, its probably the biggest japanese export next to sushi. Which series could become the next DBZ? Do these big 3 even have a chance tbh? |

Well... there is the "artstyle" in One Piece which some people don't like much, as well as the fact that OP was originally licensed by 4kids in the US... that really destroyed OP's chances world-wide before it even started airing. |

| I will say that the hold that DBZ has on some of the Western fanbase is astounding. It's like cancer on Comicvine. Any series that can somehow manage to replicate that even when it makes no sense is bound to fill that role. At this point, no other series so destroys the logic of its adherents though. |

Lol, plz this not even worth discussing Just google Japanese exports and you'll see stuff like vehicles, machines, Electronic equipment which all make like more than 100 billion us dollars But let's go too far off-topic. It's hard to speak about the Anime alone. But the Pokémon Franchise is just way bigger than the DB franchise. The internet says DB in total made like 4 to 5 billion US dollars in total While Pokémon earned 2 BILLION IN 2014 ALONE http://nintendoeverything.com/the-pokemon-company-generated-2-billion-retail-sales-in-2014/ http://images2.advanstar.com/PixelMags/license-global/digitaledition/05-2015-top150.html#16 As of 2013, the Pokémon media franchise has grossed revenues of 4 trillion yen worldwide. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pok%C3%A9mon#cite_note-9 Also the first Pokémon movie is still the highest grossing Anime movie in America of all time. $85,744,662 in the US and Worldwide: $163,644,662, which is the 5th highest of all anime movies http://www.boxofficemojo.com/movies/?id=pokemon1.htm https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_highest-grossing_animated_films |

| No. Anime made a big hit in the early 90s with SAILOR MOON, DBZ, and POKEMON. There were already anime shows broadcast in Europe/the US before that, but these three were what made it a serious force to be reckoned with. There hasn't been any show since that can be as popular as those three. They had a distinct timing advantage. |
