Many manga have anime adaptations, sometimes good, sometimes bad. But what do you enjoy more?

Well the manga is better than the adaptation about 80-90% of the time.
Also there's those anime series that just stop before the series really gets going(Berserk, Flame of Recca, Samurai Deeper Kyo etc.)

So yea overall I prefer manga, but there's exeptions

There are some good mangos that haven't been adapted and who knows if they'll even be adapted, so mango a bit over anime.

It depends on the series. For example, I love Hunter x Hunter (2011) but I don't really like the manga or I love the Dragon Ball manga but I feel that the anime isn't that good.

If the anime has faithful adaption: Anime > Manga.

If the anime does not have faithful adaption: Manga > Anime.

I like both but sometimes i just feel like sitting down in the couch and rather watch anime than read a manga because you have to click to keep going while with anime you just click on the episode, sit and relax.

Unfortunately I haven't got round to watching this series yet. But I've been advised to go with the manga. Sometimes it's impossible to recreate the atmosphere or style of the original source material. So it's best to leave them be. Unfortunately anime studios enjoy butchering stuff to pieces.

I dunno, I still stand pretty strongly about anime > manga. Of course, when the business us with bad adaptations, then yes manga is better, but honestly how many bad, like noticably bad adaptations do we have? There's the famous Tokyo Ghoul and... I honestly can't think of anything else from recent times. We just had Yamada-kun last season which wad apparently very rushed, but still, the wonders that voice acting, ost, overall animation did was something manga couldn't do for me when I picked it up, it was just bland and I didn't really continue it after a couple of chapters, although I do admit that it was much better pacing wise. This is just an example of course, but this occured to me not once.

There's also business with the unfinished adaptations, but I kinda dealt with it, it's just the way industry works. Even if the adaptation is unfinished, still most of the times anime > manga still stands.

I don't think I agree with the "manga will 80% of times will be better" but I don't read that much manga so maybe I'm not the one to say. From the few manga that I've picked I don't think any aside Naruto wad better than the adaptation. I mean, AoT, HunterxHunter, Noragami, Monster adaptations are much superior to the manga. I'm sure there's plenty more. I dunno, maybe I'm just a pleb who can't appreciate the masterrace mango.

Anime is much superior by far if the studios actually have access to enough source material and budget to complete it. Since most anime are advertisements for manga and light novels people accuse the anime adaptation for being bad when it is not necessarily the producers fault that they are adapting from a story that is not close to being finished or the work they are adapting from is bad source material. for example, light novels are often written in first person and many light novel writers are lazy at developing their characters. A normal novel generally develops their characters subtly over time due to the interactions between characters and how the character deals with events and conflicts within the story. In contrast, light novel writers basically have this spelled out through narration with the character talking to himself to help the reader connect with the main character on a more intimate level; this is important in works that are wish fulfillment to project themselves on the main character.

This does not mean all Light novels that adapt to anime will necessarily suck; Welcome to NHK is a good example of what happens when they adapt from good source material and make some liberties to help appeal to a wider audience shown by the much lighter and comedic tone of the anime in comparison to the light novel.

Actually, it is the producers' fault for adapting a manga that's close to not being finished. They could always wait until the manga is close to completion.

There would but a lot less anime if this was the case unless it brought about more original anime. People that author light novels or manga often over extend their stories because from their perspective they won the lottery and want to milk the pot as much as possible. You also have to understand that producers generally follow trends within in the industry, there are some great completed manga that are over 10 years old and probably would not be financial feasible to adapt because they don't have a lot of fan service that modern Otakus demand.

Anime is a waste of time. I can read 3+ volumes in the time it takes to watch 3 episodes of anime that cover a few chapters from the manga.

100% Manga.

So many botched anime adaptions, crap quality, deviation from source material, filler and etc...

If somehow a manga can get a really great anime adaption like Hajime no Ippo, Hunter x Hunter, Jojo, Ushio to Tora (they are skipping some arcs to fit to 30+ episodes and I think it's fine as long as they keep the important ones in), then I would say the anime is superior to the manga.

However, shitty adaptions like recent Akame ga Kill and Tokyo Ghoul just shows how shit anime adaptions are.
