| liked it. the ost really carried this episode sci fi alien fish were a bit weird but eh still a pretty nice scene going by the preview saber and assassin rematch is it so hard to get a german living in japan to proof read and alter the german spoken in animes. as a german i think it is cool when it is used and i got no problems with the pronounciation since they are trying their best but atleast make sure the meaning makes sense |

If ufo added blushing on the part I would believely mistaken this episode to lead towards . -The Grail brought by something from GoB and Shinji's face on top of that... eww Some breather QUALITY episode yet again, ufotable. I just hope you learned from the past episodes and brought out the real QUALITY factory to be used properly instead of random swordclashings. |

AO viewers from F/Z can hopefully be somewhat satisfied there. this was a pretty fitting episode since i just finished zero. saber visiting the storage room, her talk with shirou, her agreeing to destroy the grail, the hole in the sky opening, the family picture zero kinda feels like a long flashback that was put in between last week's episode and this |

| Pretty shitty episode... I was expecting implied sex and then fade to w.e. that Sabre scene was. But we got CG, yay. And nothing else happens... they could have at least started the fights? Or is there not enough source material for the next 3 episodes? Not sure why so many people are pissed they don't explain the high-jump scene, I found it pretty obvious that it was Rin falling for Emiya. I mean, unless I missed a meaning that was so subtle that it pissed everyone off. |

As for the first part, just keep watching. That said Enkidu won't do too much to a non-divine average mortal like Shirou. |

| I thought this episode was really good, all things considered. I don't know why some vn readers are reacting like this. I read this part again yesterday and quite frankly I don't think it was better in the visual novel. I haven't seen the RN version of this scene and I believe they could have explained what magic crests are and what not a little more clearly. But aside from that, all we had in the adult version was a slightly longer kitchen scene with Rin blushing. Didn't we have enough of that? I don't know what those who are unhappy were expecting at this point. Implied sex or the whole episode is ruined? Maybe a brief flashback with Archer saying Shirou should deal with Gil, yeah that would have been good, right? Wait, who am I kidding though, that doesn't make the episode any better in the grand scheme of things, it's just something that would have been a little cool to see. By the way, the moment Shirou actually looked into Rin's past was pretty cool. So yeah, this isn't a good episode for those who've been waiting an entire week and expecting to see something awesome. But we've had our fair share of those episodes recently and vn readers know better than anyone else that there wasn't going to be anything mind blowing in this episode. It's just another one of those episodes that is perfectly fine, but once again shows that this series flows better when marathoned. I don't think many would complain about it if the series was over, it's just one episode that connects one major fight to the final one. This episode didn't fail to show anything important that was in the visual novel. It feels as though people won't be happy unless it surpasses the original at this point. |

Flashbacks of Rin's Past easily beat that senseless sex(Basically rape from the way it was written heinous scene), it was more emotional and the ost added to it made it better. The dolphins were very weird and ye there was no sexual contact but there was no need for any of these. It was pointless in the novel no matter what way you put it. The shared memories was skies better. I really enjoyed this episode, saying nothing happened is kinda a lie. Basically we could summarize each episode with **** vs **** or this happened but things did happen. Saber development continued(And dead flags), Gilgamesh started his plan, Saber, Rin and Shirou also made their plan, Rin gave Shirou enough mana to fight and yes that isn't an whole lot but most episodes aren't a lot (Per example, Ep 3 of Fate/Stay Night was Berserker vs Saber and Archer) and proved to be less useful for the plot than this. HF needs it's sexual content, UBW had no need at all. That's why there wasn't any in UBW. "Yes, I have an option between sex with the guy I fell in love with and am essentially in a relationship with and giving up centuries of my family's research and knowledge, the greatest inheritance handed down from my ancestors, and I'm too embarrassed about having sex so I'll give up a significant portion of my magecraft and power instead, even though I said all the 'it's my most important fight' stuff!"-Rin I mean really now |

| Unrelated to this week's episode but it's still bothering me: Is there *any* sort of possible way to explain Archer being able to use UBW when they straight up said *in that episode* that he was out of mana? He commented on how even without mana he was too strong for Shirou. And then later he commented on how Shirou can't materialize any more blades because he is out of mana. But Archer can cast UBW and he materializes swords at some point. So I know this was already discussed to be a plot hole, but is it really this gigantic of a plot hole? Am I missing something? Because that's huge and makes no sense. My mind is desperately searching for a way to make sense of it. In terms of this episode, I don't mind a little extra Saber stuff because as an anime-only watcher I like seeing this anime be connected to Fate/Zero. But Rin's tsundere outbursts were unpleasant (why adapt her into something so generic?) and the "dolphin scene" could have been done much better. Like people have already said, a kiss scene would have been stronger. Maybe a little more intimacy than a hand over his chest that turns her into a blushing mess. |
