No complaints instead i'm grateful to you for your time man, in fact, i read this article where was explained the relation of yukino and hachiman, i think both explain similar things about the characters, which shows that you are not wrong.

I hope that you don't mind if i request your insights for the future chapters. ty for all again!

Edit: i was on the phone and i didn't read the 2nd spoiler, now after read it, i'm definitely requesting you more insights man, was delight to read it!, i suggest to you to do a full review about the interactions of the characters on reddit if you by chance used it, you would get gold for sure. The only thing that would be a problem will be your example for illustrate some points, i mean, while are perfects, easy to understand, they may lead to unnecessary arguments like patriotism, i didn't had any problems with it, since it was a very good example, in fact was easy to understand your point with it, but you know, some people may react to it in a bad way. Not sure if you'll come back in this thread, but I wanted to thank you for taking your time to read. Not much people understand nor care enough to read/listen to things I say (I'm completely ignored by everyone here except you, even though the people posting afterward are still asking the same thing). As I have said, it comes from my personal experiences as well. This involves dealing being neglected and completely hated in some way or another.

While I understand your sentiments about the examples I used (and I'm thankful you are showing your concern for me), this is something that I'm so used to that I don't care. We can't cater to everyone and some people will always be offended and angry at you. That is why, my post was aimed to solely make it easier for to you understand. I'm not willing to let some idiots who are not aware of their actions destroy the opportunity in which I can use to hold a discussion to you.

I do have a Reddit account, but I'm not used to being the center of attention. Although I do wish more people would read what I have said instead of immediately skipping it and then bringing up points that I have already explained in later posts, this just won't happen. Times have been pretty bad, and I do very much despise how people treated me. Look at the page 3 discussion and you'll understand what I meant...it's just that I can use a whole lot of time to talk about these things but virtually no one bothers.

I'm really thankful for your read though. Perhaps in the future you can send me private messages if you have anything you don't understand? I can try my best to analyze it, but I'm tired of doing it in public if people is going to ignore me again and again (not their fault, but it just seems like something mysterious is keeping people away from me. Even on the Internet, how is my presence so low that most of the time people don't notice I existed anyway?)

Vol.9 ends with a good closure. They won't have any time adapting Vol.10 unless they rush the hell out of it.

They didn't really have any interactions AFAIK the Yukinox8man scene was bretty gud though.

yeah, but i still want to see those chapters about
im excited how the anime will portray hikki's reaction to it.. he said he it was "nauseating" in the novel.. PLUS

In anime and in real life, Its just the same. Girls are hard to understand. U guys should know it :p

Anyway, i think the show flows beautifully. Sure, it has flaw. Nothing perfect right? But, imo this anime is one of the best this year.

Ohh, and i really shocked to see sensei's real car. Damn, how much salary does teacher in japan can get, lol.

@samhiuy
"even though the people posting afterward are still asking the same thing"
This happens everywhere on internet. People just too lazy too read and analyze what happens and will bashing the show as fast as they can.

It will still be rushed in just 3 episodes. I think it's better to adapt the bonus track in 2 episodes and make the other one anime original.

Hachiman and Yukino, while they have completely different ideal, they do not have ability to understand relationship with their true emotion. Hachiman finally decide on the last, final decision that he can think as logically, self-deceptive as he can - which is asking for help from the position outside of the service club. This is the only way, he can express his thoughts. Yukino, however, refuses. She cannot accept this empty, superficial, shaky relationship that is tying them together. By answering Hachiman's question, she cuts the final string that was being held - by the hand of Hachiman.

Then, Hachiman accepts it. With this, Hachiman and Yukino's relationship is over. The end. However, are they really accepting it emotionally?

Yui cannot understand them, because she doesn't think with logics, but emotional way. For the first time, she goes against Yukino. Yukino fights back.

Hachiman is a liar - he was deceiving his own emotion for the sake of superficial relationship
Yukino is a liar - she never expressed the reason for conflict
Yui is a liar - she hid her true emotion just to tie service club together

All of them knew their relationship was collapsing. Yui AND Hachiman however merely acknowledge the situation and decide to hide under the shelter that Yukino despise the most. At the end, Yukino does exactly same thing as what those two did.

If they didn't lie, if they talked each other and share their thoughts, will that answer the question? Hachiman says 'No'. Hachiman would always try to find out the dark side, the true intention behind the conversation - deceiving himself as always.

Answer - there is something no-one can understand, that is emotion of other people.

Then what is something that he wants?

Does he want relationship? - No
Does he want friend he can talk to? - No

He merely wants something he does not need to fake, something that he does not have to doubt, something that he does not have to understand., something that he does not have to hate.

What he wants is a fantasy, the dream that can never be true. However, its something that he cannot give up.

"I want something REAL"

Yukino does not understand Hachiman's intention and confused - she escapes; still refusing to accept the superficial relationship.
Yui also does not know what it is - but she is strong enough to confront it directly.
Hachiman also does not know what "Real" thing is, because it is something he never experienced. However, Yui gives him belief that what he said is a right choice and decides to chase Yukino.

Service club meets again. Will their relationship be same as before? It was collapsing, and now completely broken down to start point. However, they can now build it again; with something that they do not have to fake, doubt and deceive...

...something that is real.

Wow! You really shouldn't feel that way. Just like what Seiryuu2 and Nudebear above me said. I read your other post in the previous episode thread (which was rather long yet I didn't go tl;dr mode because the content was excellent from the first few lines) and I know many did as well. Some will ask the same question without even reading the previous posts (I do that often too). You can think of it as someone who was so excited after watching an episode and they really wanted to write something, or just type away what was on their mind. People eventually come back to read later, but at that point the excitement dies down a bit and they simply don't bother to reply or make further comments. It's a natural way for many people.

Oops forgot to tell what I think about the episode. 5/5. Hachiman breaking down was really well portrayed.

Even in novel, Yukino is hella hard to understand, but it is not because of her - it is more because of Hachiman never answering her straight forwardly (AND novel is 1st person narrative + quite deceiving due to Hachiman's personality). That made Yukino to give up understanding at certain point (which is actually portrayed in the animation as well).

Yui is hella easy to understand though, but it doesn't necessarily mean she did not contribute to the conflict.

Hold up. How can Sensei afford an Aston Martin? Anyway, I'd marry her already. Jesus Christ, she's the best woman. The smoking part can be cut off, though. :P

And Batman finally said it. He finally finally said it! He added in some tears with the package, too!

I wasn't expecting him to admit that everything he has done was wrong, though. Does this mean he's gonna give his cursed ability?

i can a bit understand why people cant understand yukino

this is my thought and im not being racist: most asian girl are shy and they dont really 'open up' they dont tell how they feel straight forwardly like western and i am not even sure that what they feel and what they think is the same

it is really hard to explain....

for example i have a cousin girl who is 14 and she doesnt speak to me for like 4 months now, all i know from her mother was i did sth that make her angry, i ask her mom what i did she dont know either, my cousin never tell me what i did and didnt tell her mom either, it is very confusing, because when there are guest at the house she speak to me normally but when the guest left she turn silence again

yeah to sum up asian women are hard to understand, but that is what make them cute.

great episode so much feel 5/5

Loved Hikigaya and Shizuka-sensei's conversation, particularly when he delivered that smooth line and made her blush. All men indeed have shit taste. I'd marry her in a heartbeat!
Even though Saika will always be first, at times I really think sensei is best girl. Many people may not agree with me, but she and Hikigaya would make a good couple, even now.

Hikigaya's monologues are usually great, but this time they were exceptional. Finally he thought everything through from the start and figured what he really wanted. Dem tears though..

Not sure what to think of Yukino running away to the rooftop, but I guess she couldn't help it after seeing Hikigaya like that. Yui patched it up neatly though. She's so precious! >.<
Wonder if Iroha overheard them or just arrived right before they went out. I think she can probably guess a bit of what happened.

Great episode and probably the best of Oregairu so far. Looks like a lot of Shizuka screentime next week so looking forward to it.

So could someone explain to me the conversation between Hachiman, Yui and Yukino?, i mean, i understand what Hachiman is trying to do, but what i don't understand is the reaction of Yukino at all, also i don't understand the little argument of both girls, when Yukino something like "you have fallen low" (sorry if its not correct since im watching this from Jap>Eng>Esp so maybe has a mistake), and the final reaction of Yukino.

To be honest, I don't remember the exact details from the light novel (and I really don't want to go back just to analyze it to give an explanation). Therefore, I'm going to speak from my experiences and perspective. If you disagree because the LN's intentions are different or your interpretation is different, then that's fine too. I just wanted to say what I believed is true on the matter.

Here is how I interpret the 3 different characters. First of all, let's talk about Yukino.(There might be spoilers for future plot points because I can't really remember)

Next is Yui - she is very very easy to understand.

All in all, the root of the problem is that they all don't understand each other. If you want me to delve deeper (which means I'll have to include Hachiman's side of the story), I would need to explain the interactions between all 3 of them as well as their interactions with people outside of the club.

These kind of stuff are not easy to understand, and a lot of people think that those who do are retarded show offs who act like they know better than everyone. They then gather a circle and proceed to deliver social justice by continuously insulting the person who they disagree with (which you can see here in MAL and literally everywhere in the world).

Therefore, I don't expect people to understand my post completely. As I have said, this comes from my experience as well (not just facts from the Anime or the Light Novel). Some might call me a "smartass", "faggot", "stupid troll" and so on. I have been insulted again and again until I think that it's pointless to get people to understand. However, if my post manages to help you, then it would make me happy as well. My knowledge on psychology/sociology is very little, but I do intend to choose sociology as my course in University. I'm saying this before someone thinks I act like I know it all. I already acknowledged that I can not hold my interpretation and ideas as credible as I would like to.

P.S. I'm pessimistic, I know. Also, this REALLY is just he surface of things. I have written so many paragraphs, but it's not enough to explain their entire characters. That's why it'll be difficult if someone replies with something that has do with a different event. Explaining how they act in each single situation is going to take ages because each situation has its circumstances. Selfishness, bitterness, pathetic, useless or whatever terms you like to describe the characters has nothing to do with my post. Understanding the basis of the characters does not equal to labeling the characters. At least be conscious of this if anyone replies trying to induce hate. You can disagree, but don't go into name labeling and telling people that they are faggots.

Just wanted to say that I really enjoyed reading what you had to say about the characters.

The episode was perfect,by the way.

This is the best episode in this anime until now, this is the episode i had wait for a long time, actually, if people dont make season 2 i would love season 1, but when season 2 came out, i just can't wait episode, i dont like the previous style in ss1, it is cute and soft but i want the feel is real and mature and ss 2 finally did that

I want the story and the characters show serious and not childish like ss1. And 8man finally had cry, he was show like a real man that he can't be cold forever, he has a warm heart and want sentimental fell just like many good guys out there. omg this is the best scene until now, i can see the real emotion, and Feel studio did really good, but this is not only reason wwhy i love this episode so much, Shizuka Hiratsuka was so beautiful, most in when she was shy, omg, when i saw that scene i just thougt she is the most beautiful female character in this anime, i just can't stop scream, she is so fucking hot and beautiful, i love this episode so much. This is definitely the best anime in this spring 2015 i ever seen. Can't wait last 5 episodes.

Great episode and truly an emotional one too.

I couldn't help but constantly be thinking of these "What if" scenarios that really got me on the edge of my seat. How breaking down, or running away just isn't that far from being genuine, in fact, those are probably still considered quite genuine. But to be truly genuine, to connect the most to our important ones and leaving the least regrets, it almost seems like it is a pipe dream. Like how when Hikki's hand left Yui's reach, Yui was on the verge to break. The mention of their "Now or Never" moment was for everyone; just how individually they were really weak, but Yui pushed Hikki enough to then reach out back to her.

To live the present to its fullest, and how some actions are limited to a specific time frame. It was just great to see especially Hikki and Yukino being able to cry like that. Being able to cry in front of others, or even being able to cry to ourselves just isn't all that easy.

Not going to happen. They can barely talk to each other, let alone be a couple. They also don't complement each other like Hachiman and Yui do. I can see Yui and Hachiman beng a couple in the third season but that is jut me speculating.

Is anyone else getting that forced romance feel from this. Like Yukino will come outta nowhere in the end of season 2 with no buildup to become Hachimans girlfriend :(. While the ones the anime actually portrays as future couples will be left behind. YuixHachiman yes I'm judging this solely on the anime.

Not going to happen. They can barely talk to each other, let alone be a couple. They also don't complement each other like Hachiman and Yui do. I can see Yui and Hachiman beng a couple in the third season but that is jut me speculating.

Overall good episode.

Well fist of all, You should just probably drop your shipping goggles and just enjoy the series for what it's worth.

Being blinded by your hate on a single character will prevent you from trying to understand said character. Better watch the series in an Objective View point to actually have a better understanding of the characters.

I don't see how Yukino x Hachiman would be any more forced than Yui x Hachiman. He doesn't seem to be interested in any of them tbh. The only characters he complimented in such a way are Shizuka sensei and Totsuka. Neither of them seems likely to happen though. (Too bad. Shizuka is just so much more interesting than any other character in oregairu ;( )

This whole episode was just amazing to me.
Hachiman questioning himself then then cries is something genuine in my eyes. That's Batman he never cries unless it's real.
Yui and Yukinon were both confused, but I can tell that Yukinon's shell is wearing off. She wants to keep it on, but in the end, it is falling off. Yui definitely keeps the "genuine" group together.
Why is Iroha in the Service Club Room in the OP?

And Hayama's group can never be like this group. This group is genuiune as it can be!

And I saw someone say something about a YukinonxHayama? Lame. Imho, that can never happen seeing how superficial Hayama is and Yukinon despising superficial things.

It was nice when Yui called out Yukino and herself for doing nothing while Hachiman tried to solve the problems. Yukino refused to help Hachiman because she was still angry about the student council issue. Trying to abdicate any responsibility. Yui is surprisingly good at analyzing people like Hachiman. She was able to tell that yukino had one track mind when it came to doing something. And that if she joined the student council she would put everything in to that. Also she is able to read Hachiman.

I think that will end up being the point. Both of them can't be in a relationship how they're now or how they were before Shizuka intervened. This story is more about a lot of these characters growing and coming out of their shell. This season is still midway in the novel. They still have a lot of growing to do before they can be in any relationship which is why you won't see a romantic relationship until probably the end of the novel. Its still hard enough for them to be in a friendship so they definitely have more work to do. Reminds me of real life relationships where someone wants somebody else to solve their problems but you have to solve your own problems. So those relationships never work out.

yeah, but i still want to see those chapters about
im excited how the anime will portray hikki's reaction to it.. he said he it was "nauseating" in the novel.. PLUS

It will still be rushed in just 3 episodes. I think it's better to adapt the bonus track in 2 episodes and make the other one anime original.

But it was a good reading honestly.

Thank you so much for your time again!

No man look again, there are are people that not only acknowledge your existence, also enjoyed your post as well, look the comments of Seiryuu2 Nudebear WolfWoods, and i bet that are more ppl that also read it and just had nothing else to say because it was an splendid post and there is nothing else to add.

Did you ever considered that somehow you are in the same spot than Hachiman? because of some bad experiences now you seem to used to them? and you also aware that that is changing?, do the same, don't let that happen anymore man.but again i'm gonna fight against your pessimism: we want more reviews, we want to listen what you say, and no, i'm not going to send you PM, instead i'm going to request that you come here, to the forum, and give your insights, because as me, ppl like to read them, and i have no right to keep them to myself.

Looking forward for your review of the next episode, and i'm will not take a no from you.

Best episode of the series up till now and also the most confusing one. I got these questions for anyone who has taken a deeper look in the series, especially the LN-readers, no spoilers please though:

-First and foremost, what did Yukino mean by Yui not playing fair?
-Hachiman said something among the lines that up till then he had been helping people just so that he could study them. However, no person without a true desire to help others would have gone to the lengths he has in plenty of occasions up till now, so how true is this statement anyway?
-Why did Yukino actually run away? (if it will be later in the series explained just say so and refrain from spoiling)
-Also, why did she initially refuse to help him? It seems that something was going on bellow the surface during the whole thing since she owes him multiple times that by the end of the day.
-I heard some people bringing up the fact that the anime-only people will have a harder time understanding Yukino. Could it be because the new animation studio slightly changed her character besides her appearance, cause that seems to be the case for me. Besides that, what info do we get from the novel up till this point that the anime didnt include?

-It is obvious that Yukino cares about Yui and Hikki. When both of them ran after her and Yui cried and hugged Yukino, it affected Yukino too. That is why she said that Yui is not playing fair.

-What makes you sure that no one without a true desire to help would go that far to help others? Maybe Hachiman is just that type of a person. He wants to understand so he helps. He wants to know how people work. He wants to study them. What better way other than to be near them and help them in order to know their actions and feelings? Yes, he can look from the sidelines but that does not give the same experience as being with them and seeing what they do. However..this does not mean what I am saying is right. It just means that this is what I understand.

-It's because Yukino didn't understand. Hachiman just said ''I want something genuine''..Remember..only us viewers are able to hear his internal monologues..they can't read minds..just like any other human being. That is why both Yui and Yuki said that they don't understand. However..Yukino due to her inferiority complex probably thinks that there is something wrong with her and that is why she can't understand. She probably couldn't stand that and that is why she ran out. Yui however was strong enough to accept that even if they don't understand right now..they don't have to. They can always understand later. They can spend more time with him and get closer to him. Again..this is what I understood.

-Yukino initially refused because Hachiman said that this was all HIS fault..once again..he didn't consider the club. Yukinon was upset by this. She got hurt because he didn't think of it as the club's fault but his. He didn't think that they were all in this together. Once again..he keeps thinking that he is alone.

-The anime only watchers have a harder time probably because Yukinon isn't given a lot of screen time. You don't get to see how Hachiman thinks of her through his internal monologues either.

Well..this is all I can say for now. Hope you understood something.

Just wow... awesome episode. them feels.
The girls' impression when 8man was about to cry, Oh my god. I absolutely didn't expect Hachiman to cry. I was really close to break down in tears as he said what he really wanted, a true relationship. To be understood, to understand the others, to get along with his friends. And well, the rest... the girls embrace, they cry, that was wonderfully done. It wasn't a good moment for Isshiki's appearence, although I started to like her, she's not a bad character after all.
Am I the only one who thinks that 8man won't end up with either Yui or Yukino? I guess he only sees them as friends.

If Evangelion were Rokka no Yuusha the seventh would be Shinji.

Him ending up alone is a very plausible bittersweet ending and it makes so much sense that I wouldn't be surprised.

I -understand- that he not ending up in a relationship makes sense, but alone? I don't think so. Hachiman finally admitted that he doesn't want to be alone, he wants a relationship. Whether its romantic, friendship, or companionship; he wants something genuine. He's not going to hide behind the whole "I'm a loner and I like being alone" facade anymore. He's changing.

that's exactly what I was going to say. He will end with friends, being a social person -that I hope-, but I don't see him with any of the girls (although I'd love to see him with Iroha or Yui haha)

The feels are friggen killing me.
Its amazing how much impact the act of opening a door or taking a seat can give.

The hesitation when 8man is opening the door, FEELS.
Yukino and Yui's faces when 8man sat in front of them, FEELS.
8man says "But-" in a choked up voice and Yukino and Yui look up at him, FEELS.
8man's teary face, ULTRA FEELS.
Yui: "Its now or never!" MEGA FEELS.
8man takes his hand away from Yui, "I can walk on my own." MEGA ULTRA CHICKEN FEELS.
Yukino and Yui start crying, DONE FRIGGEN DONE

What a splended adaption of the LN, good show. Ya done good.
