I'm not really a huge, avid anime fan. I just watch the ones that really interests me.

I rate an anime a 10 if I really enjoyed it and if it had an ending that I didn't mind at all. If I rate it lower than that, then that means I didn't like how it ended and the pacing was too slow among other reasons.

Yeah, I recommend you to rewatch it. Give at least a look for the first 3 episodes. SYD is mostly about sex jokes and most of the people love it, so I thought that it was strange for you to drop it in the first episode. I'm not forcing you to watch it all (as I do to myself with animes that I don't like :x), cuz if you don't find it funny or enjoyable that's because of your taste and everyone's taste is different.
I've almost the same age as you and most people in our age likes that kind of jokes (at least in Portugal we do like it, and probably in Japan too).
