I'm not really a huge, avid anime fan. I just watch the ones that really interests me.
I rate an anime a 10 if I really enjoyed it and if it had an ending that I didn't mind at all. If I rate it lower than that, then that means I didn't like how it ended and the pacing was too slow among other reasons.
First three animes I've watched that I really liked. (In order of viewing)

I've almost the same age as you and most people in our age likes that kind of jokes (at least in Portugal we do like it, and probably in Japan too).
I've never thought that someone would ever drop it :P
